I have tried re-installing several times, even tried the older eclipse versions.
I did suppress warnings in flex compiler using "-show-binding-warnings=false". But what I am interested to achieve is to suppress run time warnings (especially binding warnings - since I am getting data in model mostly in XML structures and it is fine for me if its unable to bind to its nested child nodes) in console (I am working on flex on Eclipse with the flex plug in). Is there a way to achieve it?
I have downloaded Eclipse - Helios and it is working perfectly. I am having a little trouble understanding the Flex functionality with Eclipse. Is it possible to download a Flex plugin or whatever it is called free of charge to develop and compile mxml and actionscipt files without having to purchase FlexBuilder 3 or 4 at a price of $600. I am under the impression that Eclipse is a free download and and Flexsdk is a free download. Can't they be put together into one tool? I cant afford the $600.
I want to work with flex from eclipse, could you tell me how to install the flex plugin within eclipse: What version of eclipse do I need? Where can I download the flex plugin?

I've noticed that when debugging using the eclipse flash builder plugin, one cannot drill in to the key set / values of a flash.utils.Dictionary in the Variables view. Even after selecting the "Show Logical Structure" button. Does anyone else run into this issue? Is there anyway I could see the see all of the keys / values when debugging (apart from writing a loop to do this or manually testing possible keys in the Expressions view)?
where does Flex builder 3 plugin output error messages? I'm trying to import wsdl however i keep getting an "unable to load wsdl" message.
Ive tried creating a trusted certificate in the jdk cacerts file however no success and could do with seeing what is actually the problem. I have looked under the Program Files/Adobe/Flex Builder 3 plugin/ folder but cant find anything which has been updated in the time frame ive been seeing the exceptions.
I wanted to develop a flex based mobile project. I have Eclipse plugin for Adobe Flash Builder. But I cannot see any option in the "Create Project" list for Mobile project.I have seen Mobile Project is available in Flash Builder Standalone version, but I wanted it in eclipse plugin.
I installed Eclipse with Flex plugin. And I found in my current workspace, IntelliSense can only show the public methods, it cannot show me the protected methods (but it can compile and the app runs well). However, in other workspaces, it works well.If I create a new workspace, it's the same, that the IntelliSense can only show me the public methods, not protected methods.

I'm trying out the Flex Builder 3 Plugin for Eclipse, and it doesn't seem to have quick fix or automatic imports. I use those two features a lot with Java and FDT. I've been googling, but all I've found is some plugin that someone wrote for Flex Builder 2, and no other mentions. Is Flex Builder supposed to have these features?

Anybody know how to install Red5 IDE Plugin for Adobe Flash Builder 4, Adobe Flash builder 4 comes with an integrated installation of Eclipse, If I follow the instructions on Red5 site I get Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. Software being installed: Red5 Feature 0.2.0 (org.red5.feature.feature.group 0.2.0)Missing requirement: Red5 Feature 0.2.0 (org.red5.feature.feature.group 0.2.0) requires 'org.eclipse.jst.server.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found
I created a eclipse plugin for editing and building as3 code, the project is hosted on sourceforge, link: http:[url]...The compilation and debug functionalities are based on Flex SDK fcsh and fdb respectively.I am an experienced Java developer but new to ActionScript, so there are many things I don't know. To make my program better.
i've installed the Perforce Eclipse plugin successfully in Flash Builder 4.5.however, the only problem i've run into is that whenever i open a ActionScript file (either one that is or isn't checked out) there is no syntax coloring - it's simply a white background with black text.
i've changed themes so that i have a dark background with different colored syntax but Perforce also removes that coloring, although this time it's the dark background with all white text.
Is it possible to add multiple Flex Modules at a time to be built in a project as opposed to adding them one by one, as this is becoming a very tedious task. This is for both Eclipse and Flash Builder 4
I have installed eclipce and I want to work with flex.I found some site (url...) where somebody said that we need to install flex sdk. And than they said that we need to open window->preferences and on left side select 'Flex'. But I don't have 'Flex' item here... What is wrong? I also installed Flash Builder trial, but it does not make any sence.
I m trying to install Flex Builder 3 into Eclipse 3.5.1 as a plugin on Mac 10.6.2.During the installation phase, FB3 says it only support eclipse 3.3 & 3.4. But I started the installation anyway. After the installation was done, I can't find Flex perspective from Eclipse. So I google around and found out the possible way to manually add this link file from folder "links" to point to the FB3 Plugin folder. I did that and FB perspective can be shown now. But when I try to switch to FB perspective, error occurs:[code]
The Flex 4.1 SDK ships with OSMF 1.0. For new features, OSMF can be updated. Adding the updated osmf.swc to a Flex 4.1 project, I get error messages as soon as I add an OSMF component in my application (VideoDisplay in the sceenshot): Screenshot: [URL].png OSMF 1.5 download page According to the documentation, OSMF 1.5 should work with the Flex 4.1 SDK. Unfortunately, I have to stick to Flex 4.1 because Flash 10.1 needs to be supported (Flex 4.5 needs Flash 10.2) When I change the SDK to version 4.5, the error messages disappears and it compiles as expected. --> Is the documentation wrong about supporting Flex 4.1 or am I doing something wrong?
