I've been trying to use ffmpeg with an air app that I made in flash cs5.5. I have it so that ffmpeg.exe needs to be located in the directory where the air app is installed (File.applicationDirectory.nativePath). For some reason this only works when I run the program through the flash dev environment. But when I actually deploy the app, I get error #3219:The NativeProcess could not be started. ffmpeg.exe is located in the same folder.
I actually don't know the full message that it gives...not sure what the property of the error that will give me that message when I catch it. All I know is that it's error 3219. Would this be a profile issue? If i didn't have the extended desktop desktop profile, I don't think I would be able to get this error, I'd get a profiling error wouldn't I? I've disabled user access control as well...I'm using windows 7.
I have built a application that use a nativeProcess to open exe. The application into Flex Builder 3 run whitout errors. Then the problem come when I export the aplicaction AIR in .air and install the applicaction in the developer pc or other pc. When I push the button to open the .exe, appear the message "Native Process is not supported". The code in the main.mxml that I use:

I need to pass the "" to the mm.exe that run with nativeprocess. When I pass "In From MIDI Yoke: 1" even using " to the nativeprocess, it won't launch the application properly and caused it to crash. What wrong this the code?

I want to pass two parameter to nativeProcess. While i am running exe file using windows command with parameter, it is working. Command for window is "abc.exe a.txt b.txt"How can I pass two parameters to the exe in that format using flex nativeProcess?This is what I have so far:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:WindowedApplication xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"

The NativeProcess is having a big issue which would hang/sudden stop response after 1-2 mins of running. I wonder if anyone else encounter the same issue?I have tested on Windows 7 (64bit).If there any way to launch an exe and release the Nativeprocess handler from monitoring the process or other method will be appreciate.
View 1 RepliesHow can I find the return value of a executable which has been invoked by a AIR app using the NativeProcess API? I am using Flash Builder 4. The following c++ generated executable
festival --tts "HelloSpeak.txt"
works fine on the Windows cmd line , but on invoking by the NativeProcess API like in the example article doesn't produce the desired result. I invoke the command with the arguments on a button click handler, but there is no TTS generated output.
var arg3:Vector.<String> = new Vector.<String>;

Is AIR nativeprocess able to receive message from Java program and process every line of message as fast as possible in milliseconds? Does it has a miss read or delay?
View 2 RepliesI would like to launch an external program on the server from a server-side ActionScript. My server-side scripting is in ActionScript 1.0 so I can't use the NativeProcess class, right? Can I use ActionScript 3.0 on the server? Is there another way?
View 3 RepliesI want to interact with a .jar-file in my AIR-project.I am using the NativeProcess feature in AIR2 for this, but it seems like I can't just define 'myJavaFile.jar' as the executable.On Windows, you can give 'java.exe' as the executable, the problem is Mac can't handle .exe-files.So my question is: how can I use .jar-files with the NativeProcess feature in AIR2. Or maybe there is an other solution to communicate with a .jar-files in AIR / AS3?
View 1 RepliesI gave up on Python and wrote the stdout interface with a C++ Win32 Console .exe file. It works fine. Bleegghh.
Old post: I'm trying to communicate with a Python script. It is not going well. So, first off, I can't get the damned thing to launch for the life of me -- so I'm focusing on that issue. I can get CERTAIN .exe files to launch, but not all of them. If I bundle putty.exe (lol) in a folder called NativeProcess it works fine, but I can't launch python.exe from my computer.

I'm trying to use Imagemagick convert.exe with Flex4 NativeProcess. I know I have it configured properly because I can get a successful result with a simple call with no options to convert.

View 2 RepliesI'm working on a Flex application that processes and displays small amounts of HTML, sometimes including images. I'm getting the HTML out of third-party RSS feeds. Sometimes, I see this in a pop-up window: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
The RSS URL is just fine, but there's apparently something in the downloaded HTML that's causing a problem. Since the application is meant to run as part of a non-interactive digital sign, anything that requires a click to continue is completely unacceptable. I don't care how useless or malformed a URL is; the app needs to ignore the problem without pestering the user.
Unfortunately, I'm having no luck trapping this event. I'm sprinkling calls like this liberally through the code: [object].addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, handleIOError); where [object] is everything from the mx:Text object rendering the HTML to its mx:Canvas parent to the mx:Application top-level app, and handleIOError is a simple function that looks like this:

I am not an expert in flash, but I do work with AS and tweak Flash projects, though not having deep expertise in it. Currently I need to revamp a flash website done by one another guy, and the code base given to me, upon execution is throwing the following error: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at NewSite_fla::MainTimeline/__setProp_ContactOutP1_ContactOut_Contents_0() at NewSite_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()

This error has been faced by many people, as seen via internet, but none of the solutions given worked for me.
Problem:I have a flex application which I am trying to run on a Linux machine. On Ubuntu, it works fine but on Fedora following error arises when a login button is clicked.
text="Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: http://192.168.1.115/flexApp/utils/db_mgmt.php"].
Details:Login button actually sends username and password entered by a user to a server deployed on same machine via HTTPService. That HTTPService actually sends data to db_mgmt.php on the server which takes care of authorization of the user by querying mysql database deployed on same machine.

I'm having trouble with an AS3 AMF RemoteObject request that is hosted on App Engine. I have a crossdomain.xml file in the root of the domain, and also one at the remoting endpoint.Here are the contents of the root crossdomain.xml:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<cross-domain-policy>
<site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies ="all"/>[code].....
Loading the swf file and testing it on my machine works just fine... I think that may have something to do with me having the debugger version of Flash Player. When I push it up to App Engine to make it public, other clients access it and get a Client.Error.MessageSend Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 url: http:[url].......I am using Flex 4 beta, and the App Engine Python runtime. I have tried full wildcard in the crossdomain, and even accessing the data endpoint at a relative URL so as to avoid this error.
in my variable i am getting error private var friendsList:VBox; "conflict exists with definition friendlist in namespace internal" what it is?
View 1 RepliesI have an action script Object that contains an array collection of other object, both objects are reflects of the Java Objects which are the database tables represented as beans, i am using blazeds spring hibernate... the regular configurations for flex RIA with java backend server language, all other objects work perfectly, but this time i needed to get this data from the client side and i do, but when i get into the Set represented as array collection in client side i get this error! both classes work for other situations, mapping is ok for these classes, i suspect that i need to convert the array collection on the server side.
View 1 Replieswhich everything seems fine, but when i implement a slider on a page inside a folder in the root (i.e. aboutus/index.aspx) i get that error when the slider is trying to call the images.I have similar slider animations in pages located in the root folder and in those i get no problem at all, seems it only happens when the page is located inside a folder.The website is done using main.master on asp, maybe the cache or rendering of the website is missing something, hope someone has had something similar or know how to get around this.
View 2 Replieswhy the error message repeats in Flex SDK 3.5 (but not in 3.4) and have a good way to make it stop repeating?

To make this happen, leave the textInput field empty and hit save multiple times. Then mouseover the textInput.

Following this is an attempt to download the same file from localhost.Is there a way to configure the SDK to get these files, or an issue with the configuration of my application?
I have a Flex and Java application and i am using BlazeDS between flex and java. Generally my application works fine. I observed when ever i try fetch data little faster(not giving gap between two fetch commands) then i am getting the error "Server error :faultCode:Channel.Call.Failed faultString:'error' faultDetail:'NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed'"
I guess when ever load is increasing on BlazeDs, i am getting the error. I am calling the java service using following code
