Datagrid with 3 columns namely Name,Place and Country. In order to export these columns values to Excel sheet by Clicking a Button called 'Export to Excel'. When Click this button, the values in datagrid is exported in excel sheet.

View 6 RepliesI have an AIR application with two DataGrids that I would like to export to Excel. I've found the as3xls library, but it can only handle one sheet (as per the comments). Ideally, I'd like to export both DataGrids into separate sheets in the same workbook.
The AIR application is running entirely on the user's desktop and doesn't have a connection to any server, so the solution would need to be Flex/AIR only.
Is there a way to export a flex graph to excel?

I use an ArrayCollection as the dataprovider of the datagrid, it's filled from the database.
i have a problem using the itemRenderer functionality. When using an ArrayCollection the visible Data in the DataGrid using the itemRenderer will be rendered just fine. But if i start scrolling the entries are repeating in the cells using the renderer. The cells are not filled with date according to the id. What mistake i'm doing here.

I have an editable grid and would like to update values based on the edited cell and I am doing this in the itemEditEndHandler such that when they finish editing a cell I update other cells that are dependent on it. the only problem is in the itemEditEndHandler the new value has not registered yet. But how to access this variable in another mxml component. I want the selected project's name in that component's text area. I even created an instance of the first component and using that called the selectedProjects variable. But I do not get the value updated in the text area.

I have a very strange problem in a Flex 3.4 Datagrid. One of the columns is a ComboBox - I have my own custom renderer for the ComboBox. I use it to select my data and then make a "save" to the db. Upon return the comboBox loses its value. Even stranger is that when I scroll the datagrid area to the left (by moving scrollbar right) - the values in the ComboBox change!! When I scroll the datagrid right (by moving the scrollbar left) - the values in the ComboBox don't change.
