Is there anyway to export JSON data to CSV/Excel without any interaction with the server side? Using Javascript only? or Flash? I'm currently using ZeroClipboard to copy the value into the clipboard but I'd like to open directly the generated value into Excel from the browser (FF, Chrome, IE, etc...).
View 1 RepliesI want to create a form (flash or java/ajax) that allows selection data to be pulled from an xml file.
Example:
A ring builder application - the user selects the ring setting in one dropdown and then they select a diamond in another drop down. But the prices of the diamonds changes every day based upon the market, so we would need to easily update that data - hence an xml or excel file.
It would be even better if the data could be linked - such as selecting a princess cut diamond, then the settings that are only compatible with princess cut show up, and then after selecting a setting, only diamonds that are the right size for the setting show.
Flex: - Is it possible to export Chart/Graph/component with dataGrid data into xls file without using server side?

I have gone through number of article but could not find any hind to do. As per few article it is possible to export data of dataGrid into xls by using as3xls-1.0.swc but not Chart.

I am new at ActionScript. I'm trying to use it with Flare visualization package, but truth is, I don't know what is due to my ignorance of Flare or my ignorance of ActionScript. I am trying to use JSON to get some data from my server. Near as I can tell the data are arriving properly at my ActionScript, but then I get lost.

So, it must have gotten something from my server. What I want is to get the nodes from the nodes list and edges from the edges list, which is also in the json package. The server (running Python / TurboGears 2.0) returns

It works when I test i Flash - but in Browser it doesn't work.

In an asc file, I am trying to retrieve some data from a server that uses JSON as its exchange format each time someone connects to a specific application. ( I can't control the exchange format)To do that I send a POST using the sendAndLoad method of a LoadVars ObjectSo far I only managed to get the HTTP header. View 1 RepliesIn our application,we have a web service which wll return images to the client according to the parameter.Now,we want to make sure that the image can not be used by no-permissioned user and can not be intercepted through the network.So we want to encrypt the image in the server side,when the client get the image,it should be decrypted accordingly. However our application is browser based. It seems that in the browser we can not use javascript to decrpte the image stream.
Assume that each client which call the service is absolute safe.We try to use a hidden flash in the page,which may decrpte the image and save them to local,then show them in the page, this will use the communications between the js and flash.But we have to decrype the image use the flash language other than c# or java.

THen we meet two problem:
1)how about other people know this key,even we bind the key with the ip or mac addresss.
2)How about the user grap the http package directly? Then he do not need know any parameter,he can intercept the whole image steam.

Created an editable flex grid which exposes a method called getGridData() to javascript. I am using the JSON.encode() method of the [url]....library to convert the grid object's dataProvider into JSON before returning it.

I'm working on a Flash AS2 application that needs to post JSON data to a web service.In previous projects, I've used LoadVars.send() or LoadVars.sendAndLoad() successfully to manage this:

In somepage.php, I can grab that JSON data using $_POST['data'].However, on this project, the developer of the web service requires the JSON content to be the BODY of the request (i.e., not a name/value pair). Is this possible with LoadVars?

View 6 RepliesI have an AIR application with two DataGrids that I would like to export to Excel. I've found the as3xls library, but it can only handle one sheet (as per the comments). Ideally, I'd like to export both DataGrids into separate sheets in the same workbook.
The AIR application is running entirely on the user's desktop and doesn't have a connection to any server, so the solution would need to be Flex/AIR only.

I'm implementing a very simple audio-only RTMP server.I have my client code like this:

Then on the server, I keep receiving audio packets with size of either 43 bytes or 11 bytes (no other sizes found yet).My questions are:
Why do I get size of either 43 bytes or 11 bytes (from SPEEX encoding?)?
Is the 43 bytes = 1 head byte + 42 data bytes?
What is the size of 11 bytes?
How should I process or convert the SPEEX to raw data, so that my server side app can use this audio data? My current implementation:
I pick up all 43-byte packets (drop all 11-byte packets);
Skip the first 1 byte;
Decode the left 42 bytes using Speex library.
How should I convert the raw data back to SPEEX audio data?
