I'm instantiating a group of RadioButton components into a Sprite and then later adding it to the display list. When the latter occurs, I can visibly see the font of the RadioButtons' labels changing from a serif to sansserif—but I have NO code to that effect anywhere. This occurs long after the components are actually instantiated, when they (via their parents) are added to the displaylist.
In Question_UI.answersContainer.answer:
answerUI = new RadioButton(); answerUI.group = rbg; answerUI.label = text;
[Code]....
I've triple-checked the obvious, but there's NO code regarding the font of the label at all. It seems to only have to do with being added to the displaylist.
I am making a quiz application for mobile.The questions are comming from xml. How can i make multiline Radiobuttons? I tried to do a skinclass but it didn't worked.In this code i make the RadioButtons.
I have a NetStream set up and it's supposed to listen for DRMAuthenticateEvent.DRM_Authenticate. When I give it an encrypted file (encrypted using software from drm-x.com), no DRMAuthenticateEvenet seems to be dispatched. The code looks like this:
[Code]...
I have both proxy and drm authentication types in there because drm was not working for me so I decided to try proxy. Am I doing something wrong? I got this stuff off of the Adobe reference pages, is there an easier/smarter way of going about DRM in Flex?
How do I assign a value to a radiobutton when it's in a for loop to then trace out the value when radiobutton is clicked? I got this now, but it just sets all the radiobutton values to 10..
I need to underline particular character of the tab header(like Account) A has to be underlined. We are using tab navigator and canvas container controls to create the tabs in our screen( Canvas label has to be underlined).
I want to extend the RadioButton component in Flex 3, adding a text input line to it in place of the label. Is it possible to do this?Alternately, is it possible to have a container -- such as an HBox -- delegate all properties to an internal component -- such as a RadioButton -- so that I could create a composite component that 'acts like' a radio button?
I am having troubles adding a radiobutton to a VBox in actionscript.
var radioButton:RadioButton = new RadioButton(); radioButton.groupName = "source"; radioButton.label = "label";
[Code].....
I first created these radiobuttons in mxml and it worked fine, but now that the radiobuttons need to be dynamically generated in actionscript it doesnt work.
When stepping through in the debugger I get to a binding error (1009) when trying to execute the addchild statement and nothing shows up in the VBox.
Recently i worked in a project where i used 5 radio button to select a page number. Now the clients wants a big radio button. how can i increase the size of radio button in flex?
In my flex app I have some radio buttons. When a user clicks the radio button, I want to popup an Alert, and if the user clicks ok the radio button will change, otherwise their change will be discarded.
How do I accomplish that? I tried event.preventDefault(); while handling the click event, but that didn't do anything.
I have a datagrid that I want to add a column of radio button using AS3 (instead of mxml). I was able to do this with a custom itemRenderer. var dgc:DataGridColumn = new DataGridColumn(); dgc.itemRenderer = new ClassFactory(com.mypackage.RadioBtnColumnItemRenderer);
In my RadioBtnColumnItemRenderer.mxml, I have a box with a radioButton... like so: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:Box xmlns:mx="[URL]" horizontalAlign="center" verticalAlign="middle"> <mx:RadioButton id="btnRadio" groupName="btnRadioSelect"/> </mx:Box>
When I run the application, the radio button shows up in the column as it should. However, I cannot select just ONE of the radio buttons. I am able to select all of them, but I don't want this... I want the ability to select one and then if I select another one, then the first one is unselected and the current one becomes selected (just like you would expect radio buttons to work).
I have a UI component that, for various reasons, I have to construct programatically. The component is a table of radio buttons grouped by column.Right now, I'm constructing the column groups like so:
private function createGroupsForItemList(items: XMLList): void { for each (var item: XML in items) { var rbGroup: RadioButtonGroup = new RadioButtonGroup(); groups[item.@level.toString()] = rbGroup; } }
I'm trying to associate the RadioButton instances with the column groups like so:
private function createValueControl(item: XML): UIComponent { var control: RadioButton = new RadioButton(); control.label = "";
[code]...
I can see in the debugger that the control has an association to the group:
control.group == groups[item.@level.toString()]
However, I can see equally that the group does not know anything about the control:
group.radioButtons.length == 0
I imagine that this is because the setter for group in RadioButton is a dumb setter; all it does is copy to the variable, which doesn't do the magic that groupName does. However, I can't seem to find the value I should use to set the RadioButton.groupName property correctly.So, in short, I'm stumped on how to get these bits to talk to each other. How do I do this?
-- EDIT -- It turns out that I can have the groups created and associated simply by setting the groupName property, but I can't get at the group to set up a selection listener; the group is NULL immediately after the setting process, which means that the second line below throws the Flex equivalent of an NPE:
I am using Advanced DataGrid of Flex 3 with hierarchical data and also i added tile list as a item renderer in another column in that tile list i added radiobutton as item renderer if i change the radio selected value the hierarchical tree sould expand if the scroll bar will come the radio button value is changing
I have been searching around for a while now, and cant find anything. In Flex, I need to be able to change the fontWeight of a RadioButton that is selected to bold. So, when a RadioButton is selected, it would call a function in AS3 that would set the fontWeight of that selected RadioButton...
valveRadioGroup.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE, changeRadioHandler); private function changeRadioHandler(event:Event):void { //change this RadioButton's fontWeight to bold
How to make my own button with a text label on it?
I've done the following:
created the button background and added the TextField on it called txt and packed it all to Button called MyButton. I added an instance of MyButton called btn to a stage and wrote in the main class: trace(btn.txt.text); - everything was fine. But when I added states of the button (Up, Down, Over and Hit) the txt field of buttons became null.
I have a movieclip which is scaled depending on xml data. However, I have a problem in that this results in a text label within it also being shrunk or stretched. Is there any way to make sure that the text label stays the same size?
The first question: How do you make a symbol a looping animation? Say I want to make a short loop which I can repurpose later.. something such as a falling raindrop or a moving mouth. A webseries I enjoyed when I was younger, Bonus Stage, used the same moving mouth animation most of the series.. I'd like to learn how to make that.
The second, and I'd like to take advantage of the tag on the link leading to this forum that reads "there is no such thing as a stupid question in here"... How do you change the size of the brush tool?
im making a flash animation in which i made a symbol called #_mc which is in a symbol called #_anim_mc withhin the sceane.the #_mc contain "#". the #_anim_mc contain motion tween of the the "#" coming in from the left to the right. now within the main timeline i duplicated the #_anim_mc 100 times and i need to switch them with numbers but not all togethor. one by one.for ex: the 1st after 20 frames the 2nd after 28 frames etc. now i dont know how to make changes in each one to time them when to switch to a number. the only think i can think about is to make 100 differnt symbol each one allready set to its own timing.
I am trying to create a Flash (CS4) website that uses buttons - when clicking on a button, a sound is played. I am trying to get the button to change color after it's hit. The button symbol was made from a dynamic text object. I've tried "b1.textColor = 'FFFFFF'". I get error 1119, "Access of possibly undefined property textColor through a reference with static type flash.display.SimpleButton".
