Lets suppose, there are 4 popups in my application and a viewer presses Escape once. Now i want application to close the popup which is on the top. I dont know how to accompish this because i dont know thich popup is to the front right now.

I have a for loop that I'm trying to display multiple popups with.
I seem to have multiple popups appearing on the screen, but after I'm done and close the top popup all the buttons on the others below it seem to stop functioning.
How can I make all the popups retain their functionality after the one before is closed?

I have to put multiple Flash movies on a page and I'd like them to share modal popups, so that access to the entire page is denied while a popup is active. I can do this via Javascript and create HTML popups via the ExternalInterface class, but I would love to be able to do this entirely in Flex using the PopupManager class.
Note: This is not for any evil purpose. I just need to make sure none of the other movies' buttons are clicked before the user responds to the first thing they clicked. Also, some of the movies are quite small and can't contain some of the popups they require.
Is there a way to tell at runtime if a flex UIComponent is in the user's view or not.For example, if I have a tabNavigator with a combobox on each tab, is there a property of the comboBox that will tell me if it is visible to the user or not when I switch from one tab to another?I know it is not the comboBox.visible property. That is set to "true" for both comboboxes. I want a property that will change when I switch from one tab to another making the comboBox visible to the user. I don't know what that property is.

I have and add button (last row) in one column of the AdvancedDataGrid. for the row having the add button the rest of fields are not visible. On click of the add button a new row is added to the grid for the user to add. After that this button becomes delete button (label becomes '-' and a new row is added at the bottom for adding another row). When i click on the delete button (label '-'), the last row gets the add button('+' label) but the fields of the row become visible.

I have an image gallery app that has a slider to control the width of the thumbnails that ranges from 80 to 1024. As you move the slider the thumbnails width changes to effectively scaling the image between 80px and 1024px. Below the thumbnail is some information about the image such as the name, size, dimensions, etc. There is also a set of icons that do various tasks (delete, edit, copy, etc). All of this information is located within a VBox.The problem I am having is I would like to have the VBox hide when the width of the thumbnail reaches 150 px or below. This I have been able to accomplish with the following code:

I have a custom ActionScript component that I'm using in a Flex application (Flex 3.3, ActionScript 3). This component contains an Image control whose visibility is set dynamically based on a property of the data element provided to the component. I'm trying to make a Flex (Advanced)DataGrid component with some mechanism where the user can toggle the visibility of the columns. I've crudely implemented this by reading in the columns into the right-click menu, and when a column name is selected here, the visibility is toggled. In the upper right, there is an icon over the scroll bar. If there is no scrollbar, the icon remains in the same place. When clicking the icon, it opens up a menu that shows all the possible columns, with the visible ones having a check mark next to them, like this:
Also, the scroll bar always appears under this button, never "pushing" it over into it's own column.I'd like to re-create this in Flex. I believe the menu part and creating a column with a button headerRenderer is easy enough. But I can't figure out how (if at all possible) to do this with the scrollbar, because the scrollbar always seems to be "its own column".

I get the right number when I click on only '+' or only on '-'But if I click '-' until 0.7 and '+', it stays at 0.7
The same append when I click '-' until 0.9 when '+', it stay to 0.8. Why? How can I do to increment or decrement a Number by 0.1?
I'm using a dateField component (with editable = true) as an itemEditor in a dataGrid. Interestingly, when editing the textInput part of the dateField it doesn't seem to react to an ESC keydown as I would expect, i.e. reload old dateField value and give up focus. This seems to be standard for most other components, but not for as most other components do.
How would you go about implementing such behavior? I can listen to keydown == escape on the TextInput portion, but just realized that I don't know how to tell dateField to give up focus and politely close - in fact I'm not even sure that's the right strategy (maybe I should work at the DataGrid level?
I am using AS2.0 and SWFObject to integrate an audio player into a website. I have built a button that launches the player into a seperate window so that people can surf the site and listen to the music simultaneously. There is only one problem!! In IE the window is being block by the browser's inbuilt popup blocker. I have tested other sites that feature similar functionality and popups are not blocked!?
Has anyone experienced this issue before and do you have a workaround?

I'm working on a project that requires a draggable map that has buttons that popup onrollover. Inside the popup will be a brief discription and and link that should carry you to another part of the move. Problem is, I don't know how to deal with the fact that buttons/rollover have become "inactive" because their in my draggable map. I am using startDrag for the map.

In my Spark WindowedApplication I have:this.addEventListener( Event.CLOSING, shutdownApp );and of course an implementation of the shutdownApp method (which basically tidies up temporary files).his works fine for the top-right close button of the window. However I also have functionality which needs to shutdown the application. Within the code I have called:NativeApplication.nativeApplication.exit();However this doesn't trigger the Event.CLOSING method, and so my temporary files are not cleared up. Should I not be calling nativeApplication.exit ? If so, what should I call instead? I'd rather not have to call my shutdownApp method before the NativeApplication.exit() as this doesn't feel quite so elegant.
