I am facing a really weird issue while trying to use an "swc" file imported from Flash CS5, that I am trying to use in Flex Builder 3 (by converting symbol to "Flex Component"). The errors are coming in files which are not even remotely related to the "swc" file that i am importing. Now, I know that the automation stuff has come as a part of FB4, but I don't really have an option to migrate to FB4.I have tried to change the flex sdk settings in Flash CS5 (steps given below), but that has not helped.Edit-->Preferences-->Actionscript-->"Actionscript 3.0 Settings"-->"Flex SDK Path" (pointing this to flex3.5 sdk instead of Flex4.0 sdk)I feel that the issue is most probably a compatibility issue b/w Flex 3 and Flex 4, but have not been able to find a workaround for the same.[code]

I basically need to scale an object up when the user rollsover the button which I have created dynamically already and I need to make sure the object is fully scaled up before I can allow the user to scale it back down again.Ive tried putting 2 tweens (x and yscale) into a function but not sure how to check if the tweens have finished. Im assuming if I check the function is complete it wont take into consideration the tweens may still be running.

View 1 RepliesThe question seems to be simple, however it create problems for me. I have a dataGrid with two dataFields: peerID, name. The information in a grid updated dynamically when new user joined the group (I'm creating a chat). I need that information about user deleted from a grid after it's disconnect. So, on "NetGroup.Neighbor.Disconnect": event i want to compare "event.info.peerID" value with all peerID values in a grid and delete info about disconnected user.
I'm trying to use next construction:

I'v noticed that construction txtDataArray.source[i] (or txtDataArray.getItemAt(i) ) returned [object GridColumn] insead of value. So, I have two questions:
1) How to get the value of exact cell?
2) How to organized info delete after user disconnect?

On it I have a player that play avi files and some buttons and tabs along side.The application also have recording button that records that direct stream from an IP cam and store that stream on the media (USB). How can I automate function testing of such application. Like I have confusion that when I press the recording button but can I be sure that recording starts? I have tried RIATest and flexUnit 4.

In such manner that you can compile your interactive application in test-mode and then be able to click on elements which then passed the action to Selenium IDE which then adds this command to the testcase.I am curious if this even possible and how I can achieve this in Firefox?
View 1 RepliesI have a test where I have to check that when a particular item is selected on a web page, the item is loaded into a flash object on the same page. This being done via Javascript. I have to check whether the parameters being passed to flash by Javascript are correct(i.e. the right item is being passed to flash). The only way I can imagine as of now is to intercept these javascript functions and somehow read their parameters.

I've tried both Selenium server 1.0.3 and the 2.0 alpha 7 versions, they both display this behaviour. FlashSelenium is involved so I'm not sure where along the way lies the bug. Furthermore it's hard to reproduce as it doesn't happen only for some methods, and doesn't always happen.
I've tried searching for issues similar to these but couldn't find any remotely similar... Anyone experienced the same behavior? And if so, is there a fix for it? Edit: I doubt FlashSelenium is at fault for this, as the log tells that the command arrives correctly at the server... But I can't seem to be able to follow the path of execution from the moment the Selenium server gets the command and passes over to the browser, to the moment where it gets the response.
I'm running a selenium script that tests an authenticated application.
The application uses a flash cookie to know if a user is authenticated to the site. Mid-script I need to delete the flash cookie.
I've tried to script the flash player settings page [URL] with no luck.
We use PHPUnit/Selenium if that helps.
