Flex :: Mobile - Move To The Next Data In List.selectedItem When Moving To Next Page?
Sep 14, 2011
When I move page01 to page02, I pass the same data along with it using the following code:navigator.pushView(Page02, data); How do I move to page02 with passing the next row of data (instead of the same data)? In other word, how to increment to the next row of data with pushView?
I have encountered somthing a little strange in flex, possibly somthing im doing wrong but im not sure. In two cases which i have noticed, when there is only 1 item in a s:List or s:DropDownList for some reason when using list.selectedItem it appears as null. Using requireSelection="true"i know this isnt the case.
the thing I mean cannot be probably done with the component, but I don't know how is the component I want called. I would like to achieve a list but with sort of "icon look". You could say some sort of springboard navigation.
Here is just a quick sketch in Photoshop how it should look like: [URL]
The item is the one actual item in the list or something.
I have a list box of mp3s which populates via xml. When the user clicks on a song I want a "Stop" button to pop up next to the name of that song in the list box. Ideally I want to get the coordinates of the field in the list box that the user has just clicked on.
Im creating a person search interface in Adobe Flex / Actionscript where we have an image for each person and a bit of text. Im looking to implement some like this:HorizontalList InterfaceORCarousel InterfaceBoth of these packages are unfortunately only for desktop Flex, I was wondering if anyone knew mobile flex (particularly Blackberry Playbook) alternatives?
I'm creating a spark list in my flex mobile application and i want to do like a list on the iphone with a corner radius Unfortunately there is no cornerRadius or simply radius in list styles.
I'm trying to make my own component that behaves like a list and supports infinite scrolling (in 1-dimension : vertical or horizontal) - both directions. For eg, a vertically laid out list which the user can scroll up or down forever - without ever hitting the 'last' or 'first' item. A good use for this: a calendar that displays each month as a list item.
Anyway, there are a bunch of things to overcome. The first of which, I think, is to disable the scrollbar's bounce effects (introduced in the latest Flex 4.5 (mobile) SDK). If I can disable the bounce effects, I'm guessing I can then add/remove items as needed to the list and it would scroll infinitely.
I'm desperately trying to fix a strange behavior in my custom iconitemrenderer list: When I change the view to the view with the list inside and start scrolling, the list gets white for the fraction of a second (apperently completely redrawn), but only once when scrolling the first time after the view change.
[Code]...
I think the problem is in the myList.dataProvider.itemUpdated(oldItem), apperently the renderer thinks it has to redraw everthing, but I have no idea why.. and why only after the view is shown again.if it's a bug or something? how can I get rid of this bahavior or how can I debug this this properly?
how can i change my list component in Flex 4.6 mobile project with that when an item is pressed it would dynamicly resize and show an article description and a button [URL]
IŽam trying to create my own custom list component in a Flex mobile Project which fires an Event when the user touches a listitem and holds the finger down for a given time. Some kind of "longTouch"-Event like its implemented on native android listitems to edit the entry for example.
I tried to listen for the MOUSE_DOWN Event to start a timer and dispatch an event when the timer finished. But this approach failed because i cant get the listitem that was pressed by the user because the List component updates the "selectedItem"-property only after the user lifts his finger from the list.
I am developing a flex application for mobile devices. This application will sync customer data down from an api to the mobile device. But once on the device I plan to hold it in sqlLite DB. How can I secure this data? I know that I could hash it but I guess that that someone would be able to decompile the application and get the hash key. I am new to flex and mobile development.
First off I am new to using Flex, but I have pieced this app together with help from online tutorials and information. Basically my app is like a directory of names, addresses and so forth, but I also have additional fields of "week" and "day". What I am trying to do is have a list that shows only the names of, for example Week 1 - Monday. Below is some of the code I am using to help you understand what I am trying to do.
I built a simple hello world app to check out the Flash Builder 4.5 mobile capabilities. Here's how it works:The Default View asks for name in an textinput and has a continue button. When you click the continue button it pushes a new view in the viewNavigator which just displays "Hello " + name in a label. When you click anywhere in this view, it pops a view (i.e. itself) from the viewNavigator, to go back to the default view
I see only 1 issue with this:When I get back to the default view, it is in its initial state, i.e. the textInput is blank. It seems as if the viewNavigator created a new view of the default view's class and pushed this, instead of just removing the top view and displaying the previous one.I see this being especially problematic for programs which display data in a grid and you can click the data to view the detail...when you get back, the grid will be empty.
I'm developing a mobile AIR application using IntelliJ.
When debugging in Flash Builder there is an option to clear to application data on each (debug) launch of the ADL (see screenshot below) However, I can't find this setting in IntelliJ or some ADL parameter to force a clear on each new debug session. I was wondering if such an option exist in IntelliJ or ADL.
A little background: I'm using the PersistanceManager in the application to store some user settings and I want to be able to start the application without the saved settings from my previous run. Using this setting in Flash Builder does the trick, but I'm having no luck with IntelliJ.
A question about ItemRenderers: let's say I have an ArrayCollection that is my application data sitting inside a global object. I them populate a sparks list with this data, setting the ArrayCollection as the dataProvider.
So each ItemRenderer gets a copy of an item sitting in the array. You can override the "set data" method to set the data something more domain-specific. The problem is that the data is a copy of the original item.
Now let's say we want to add some data to the item while inside the ItemRender. For example, it could call a method on the item telling it to load some details about itself, or maybe we allow the user to modify something on the item.
Obviously, we can't do any of this if we are operating on a copy because it will be thrown away as soon as the ItemRenderer is destroyed and the original object doesn't know anything about what happened.
So what's the best practice? Should I just use the itemIndex of the renderer to pull out the original item from my global array like this:
{globalArrayCollection}.getItemAt(this.itemIndex) But it seems kind of clunky to me. Is there a best practice for dealing with this?
I am developing a mobile project in Flash builder using flex 4.5. I am very new to flex, with some background in Obj-C.urrent Setup:I am passing the text property of a text input component to a second view via navigator.pushview{view.Someview, data}public function doSomething():void{navigator.pushView(Session_View, timeInput.text); This successfully passes the text I put into the textinput to the Session_View instance and I can display that text in a label in the mxml; however, I would like to take the text passed and convert it to an integer to use in my logic.Within Action Script I have tried parseInt() function with no luck.I have also tried to assign data to a variable in actionscript with no luck.
I am working on a Flex 4.5 app tageting Android. In different views the app needs to load and display images which I have deployed as part of the app. Where do I put these images? And how do I load them? I am familiar with @Embed for images, but this doesn't seem to be the correct approach in this case. I also know how to load from the file system, but I really don't know how to include my images as part of the app for distribution.
i have online game and i have to know how to do this easy thing i have inventory and under things like first aid is number of objects and its combobox and after change i want to change variable kolko[i] to equals combobox name : "co"+i and that selecteditem data , i have this
I'm creating a mobile app in which I need to show a calendar with months at the top. The months are part of a component that extends from SkinnableDataContainer (and has some custom scrolling/behaviour - which is why I did'nt use a spark list). I need the months to be shown as a 'trapezium' shaped tab and so I'm using a png image as a mask in the item renderer for the component.
When the mask is not applied, it all works well - the months render, the list/data container selection works when I click on a month and so on.When the mask is applied, it renders well, scrolling and everything else seems to work well - but when I click on a month, nothing happens visually. And from the trace statements in my code, it appears list item selection is not changing. Looks like mouse clicks are not working.
Code:
public class TopCalendarMonthRenderer extends LabelItemRenderer { [Embed(source="/assets/trapezium_alpha.png")] private static var TrapeziumMask:Class; private static var trapeziumMaskInstance:BitmapAsset;
I would like to move (right or left according the current view) between 2 views when I move my finger on the mobile screen; for example with Google+ mobile application, in profil section, you can change the view just on move your finger on the screen, and the offset and the moving speed must be checked before change complete view.
