Oct 11, 2011
i'm a newbie in Flex/Air. I'm developing an AIR web browser and i want to use a virtual keyboard to write in the HTML pages.it works well when i try to write in a text area, but i don't know how to write in the html page.EXAMPLE:To write in textarea, i just have to call this:textarea.text = event.keyLabel;
I developed a flex website, the web explorer always caches swf file which embedded in HTML. Sometimes I make changes to the flex file, clients computer still view the previous version which stored in cache. How can I force client's web explorer to reload/refresh the swf file?
I know there are ways to invoke javascript inside the html wrapper template for the flex application using ExternalInterface, but is it possible to reference an external html page?
Does anyone know if it's possible to integrate the ToushSmart's virtual keyboard with an Adobe AIR application? In most programs (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc), when a user touches a text field a little keyboard icon automatically pops up which, when pressed, will bring up the virtual keyboard. However, this doesn't happen when clicking on text input fields in Adobe AIR applications.
Has anyone had any experience working with AIR/Flash and touchscreens? Is there any API that can tell Windows (or the HP virtual keyboard specifically) that the user has clicked in a text field and that the virtual keyboard should be shown? The text fields are the standard kind (fl.controls.TextInput).
I want to specify a string value in the HTML containing my Flash created using Flex 3. This value is a URL that is used by the Flex code and I want another dev to be able to update it. How do I do this? I'm using Flex Builder 3.
If I have a flex swc emebbed in my html page, and the flex swc contains an flex 4 videoDisplay player, which has an option for fullscreen. How do I make the fullscreen work. Because when I click on fullscreen button for the videaDisplay, I get an error: [code]Connect with the people you need to get the job done. Unlike other tools, Cloud Groups lets you work with anyone, whether they're inside or outside the company firewall. Invite them into Cloud Groups to work together on projects, share files, assign tasks or catch up in real-time.
It is possible to create a "virtual mouse" which will be click on links on the HTML page loaded into HTMLLoader? I tried to do this using the class senocular .url... but it does not work.[code]
Let me ask how to program an html page to move to a new web page on user's clicking an item of an embedded flash movie? But , in detail, I actually want to do a little different thing. I want that the parent html page remains there ,instead I want a child html frame has a new page after user's clicking the list item of the embedded flash movie.
It is possible to create a "virtual mouse" which will be click on links on the HTML page loaded into HTMLLoader? I tried to do this using the class [URL] - but it does not work I have something like this:
From an Adobe Air application, I need a function to launch the Windows Virtual Keyboard (c:windowssystem32osk.exe). I tried the Native Process, but it didn't work when telling it to execute cmd.exe /C osk.exe. How should I launch the keyboard application from an Adobe Air application?
So, I want to pass a string variable to a SWF so that I can specify a XML file to load without republishing the SWF. When I assign the string variable to a textfield it is correct. But when I use that variable in the loader it does not display the XML from that file. You can see below that I commented out the string "lesson_11/images/0301_objectives.xml". If I put this string in the loader it works, if I use the string variable in its place it does not work. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong
Code: var xmlFileToLoad:String; var myQueryString:Object;
I am creating a Flash project for a fundraising event and tend to test it every now and again. It is an accordion menu. It is going on a html page. I want the height to be relative to the width and the width to equal 100% of the browser window. When I set the html publish settings, I set it to 100% width & height. Then I embedded a swf using the loadmovie() method. I published it again. Everything seemed to be working OK but when my menu loads with the embedded swf, it goes back to normal size (actual size of project - 450x230).
so I have my php API (html Get api for Flash builder and C# apps). So if you want to submit data to it you use string like
[URL]
If there are english letters in it its ok. But what if I need to pass UTF-8 string like this Русское Имя to my api what shall I do?
I am trying to make a movie swf to load different .swf files but pressing html links in the same page it's embeded. What I got is that links are passing good a variable called 'video' to swf... Using a jscript in html page, and html links as follows:
<script language = "JavaScript"> <!-- function PassFlash(){ window.document.movie.SetVariable("video", "video.swf"); } //--> </script> <a href="#" onClick="PassFlash()">Load this video into flash please!</a>
But I think I didn't build the actionscript correctly.. I can't find the way to make the movie to load a determinated .swf using that variable...If I put a loadMovie (video, "mclipholder") and a stop (); in a frame the variable is not useful because the movie doesn't load. If I add a gotoAndPlay (1) for making the movie loop, the swf loads again and again...I want the main movie to be able to recognize when an html link is pressed (and passes the variable called 'video') and then to load the correct movie....
the code above should display "a" in a dynamic text box when you press "a" but how about backspace? I thought that the code below would work but it deletes the whole entry rather than a character.
I designed one virtual keyboard it working fine for one text filled. But if i have more than one text filled, or a complete form it not working.... Even in some text filled like Address i need to activate the enter command so that it will goto the next line. And finally the tab which i want to toggle between the text filled. How to do this?Ci have a project called doctor board where the patient have to fill a form to register his/ her appointment.
I have got everything working on a virtual keyboard, except the backspace button. Does anybody know of a method that uses the .appendTest() to delete the last character typed by a user???
Inputtext field is named "dirsearch"' _del is the instance name of the button that hopefully act as a back space button.
my code so far: _del.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, deletelast); function deletelast(e:MouseEvent):void{[code]..
Is it possible to emulate computer keyboard key-press with a simple button in AS 2?I was porting one game to my touch-screen phone and you control that game by pushing 2 buttons (z and x).I looked at the scripts of that game and couldn't find where are the functions that trigger when you push a keyboard button so I wanted to emulate a keyboard press with a button instead.
I know of flashvars, but how would one send a variable into a swf and then for instance change the variables value and then pass it into the swf again?
1. I want to create a cell phone keyboard, you know, where you need to tap 2 or 3 times a key to show the character on its display and so. "Number", "send" and "clear" actions buttons, too.
2. Well, when you click on "Send button", I need to send the variable you inserted before to another field. That field will be show later. So, I need that variable keeps in "cache".
I got a dwg file converted into swf file. Now I want this swf file to embed in html page. No issue with that. The tricky part for me is to let the user select the entites of the file such as line/circle as one might select in autocad. After entity selection the swf file (by any means) pass the selected entity information back to the html page ( to the javascript function).
In my AIR app, when the virtual keyboard shows up the screen height shrinks. The problem I am having is after the virtual keyboard hides, the screen size stays shrunk and you can see a big black gap under the bottom of the app. The only way to adjust it is to rotate to landscape then back to portrait.
This seems to be a glitch with the virtual keyboard and programmers shouldn't be responsible for handling the screen size after it hides.
I have a variable called AICC_Student_ID, which is talking to an LMS to pull in a student's unique ID (usually the same as their NTID). I need to take that JS variable value, and slap it into a String for treatment.I looked at the work it would take to use SWFObject, and since this little swf is going onto literally thousands of pages, manually hacking each and every one is just not worth it.
