Html :: Flash Website + Google Indexing?
Sep 27, 2010I got a Flash website that loads html files. In the html files is the content (text).Google doesn't find the text (tried quoting a line for example to get precise search results).

Aug 4, 2010I'm using swfobject, and in the replacement div I have a message for those who don't have Flash or JS support. The replacement div contains a message like "You don't have Flash player, please download here" - my concern here, is that Google will see and index this message, which is not relevant to the content of the page, and it's going to affect the search ranking.
Is there some way to mark a piece of content to be ignored by Google? My guess is no.
But then how do you go about placing a message like this without having it indexed?
My only idea is to use an iframe with nofollow. But then Google will penalize any site that uses frames, so that's not a good option either.

I have some flash-xml sites and Google is indexing the xml-files.When a user is searching (Google) and the text is inside the xml-file, the result of the search sometimes will be [URL] when the user clicks on it only the xml-file is shown in the browser. Question:Is there a way to link or redirect the xml-file automaticly to the index.html of the site?Or is there another way to prevent this?

I wondered if anyone knew a workaround or trick that I could use to get text into google. I have a couple ideas but they're just ideas.
I would like to create an alternate page that is not flash, but a regular html page with all of the text I want google to read inside it. Somehow I use code to tell it that when a user clicks on the link, to redirect them to the flash webpage, but when a search engine sees it, to send the search engine/google to that regular html page, where it will gather all of the text and then that text will show up on google's page when you do a search and my site on google? Even if this was possible, would google frown upon this and ban me or something?
The other idea I have is to use invisible text at the bottom of my page. This will be regular html text that is the same color as my background. But I heard this can get you banned from search engines like google if you are using lots of keywords, but I wouldn't be using keywords. I'd be using the few sentences of content that their stupid crappy technology doesn't read, forcing me to bust my hump trying to find a workaround for. It sucks that google doesn't even use keywords in my metadata for rankings either. So I can't even use that with them.

As I search the web I see this can easily turn into a nightmare as there is no set answer for this question as all answers do not show anything but just tell that the GA code needs to be before the end of the body tag. But I need to double check this as I set all my Flash files the following way
main.swf sits inside an html page
do I still add the GA code to the bottom of the page just before the< /body> ?????
or do I code inside the fla?
Also does this method apply to AS2 and 3?

Jan 27, 2012I'm using the google maps API v3 with flash and it works fine on one of my websites.I transfered it to another website and changed the API key, but all I see is the defaultbackground color with no error message. Apr 9, 2012So, Since years the site ( Its a kind of CMS ) Just worked Fine, but about 3 days ago all the flash's object's in the Whole Site are with 300px X 150px. But it just happens in Google Chrome, in all other Browsers it just Work's fine!

Html :: Initialize A Full-window Flash Object In Google Chrome?
Jan 27, 2011I have a simple HTML file which embeds a Flash file. On the page styling I have a #flashContent with width:100% and height:100%; the Flash object itself has width="100%" and height=100% and is inside a div with id="flashContent". The idea is to make the Flash object (which is a game) to fill the whole browser window even as it resizes.
This works with no problems on IE and Firefox, but there is a small problem on Chrome. About 90% of the time when the page first loads all that is shown is black (the page's background color). The game only appears if the user resizes the window; from then on out it works correctly.
I'd like to ask if there is anything I am doing wrong or if there is an workaround to ensure the Flash game appears correctly on the Chrome browser.
Flex :: Use Google Adsense On Its Website?
Dec 23, 2010Is it possible to use Google Adsense on a Flex website? I've read that while Flex can interpret PHP and Javascript, it can't directly load PHP or Javascript. Therefore, it can't handle the ad invocation codes.
All the "pages" of my flex site run straight down the middle with no variation. And I've got a logo at the top of the page. So, I was thinking that it might be possible to add the Google Adsense code in Flex's HTML template. As all of my "pages" have the same lay-out, content won't overlap any ads.
I also read that there are some cross-platform/cross-browser problems using DIV layers with Flex-- that in some browsers the Flash content will render on top of all other content, regardless of depth.

Apr 20, 2011I have an HTML website with a flash header and dropdown menu.In the beginning, the flash dropdown menu would not show at all untili found the wmode=transparent trick.The menus are now showing properly except for one specific page wherethe text on the page show up OVER the dropdown menu. In all otherpages, the dropdown menu shows up on top of any text that may be inthere.There's nothing on that particular page jumping at me that would causethe problem. In fact, the page uses the same CSS file as the otherpages. I'm really clueless.I'm not sure if it's a flash problem or HTML/CSS problem.
The only difference i could think of was that the page was called froma combobox change event. But i switched the page called to anotherpage i know works with the menu and it was fine. So the problem doesnot come from the combobox calling the page, it really is the pageitself.Does anyone have a clue?Working page sample (sorry its in french)click on Nos Services.
