View 2 RepliesI want to be able to share videos from my Wordpress site to Facebook using different video providers. I was able to use my own video player, but I'm not ready to post videos using my server and I prefer to have users post using a provider like youtube, vimeo, facebook, ect.. Right now my site has those kind of video players. I edit the meta tags several times, this is the one I currently have:

I also tested it using a single youtube video and it worked fine. But since I have other videos beside youtube I can't do it where it just gets a youtube id. Yesterday the posts without videos were showing up, but now when all posts gets share it shows up like if it was a video on my wall, so if clicked it will give an error. I been pulling my hair all week with this and still couldn't get it to work.
when I update my script, it takes so long for facebook to update the change. I have to wait for so long in order to test it again, like if facebook is holding it in cache for too long, is there a way to bypass that?

The Situation: We're producing an Facebook product 'community' - type page for our client, featuring standard Facebook tabs, one of which embeds a Flash game. At the end of this game we'd like to be able to share the users' final score via a wall post, and also invite friends to challenge the score.
Firstly - the client is insistent that the game appears on a tab within the page, so moving this all to an application (for example, apps.facebook.com) is sadly not an option. I'm aware you can embed an application on tab instead of static FMBL, but I have tried this and the result is essentially the same or fails (the tab imposes stringent restrictions on what can be rendered, enforcing the use of FBML and negating the FB:Iframe tag for starters).

Developing a flash based image editing application and I want to be able to share and or save edited images to facebook.
Do I need to get a API Key to upload photos? What if I simply want to share a link with my friends? Do I still need an API key?
I am trying to add the a Facebook iFrame to my Flash website. Since there is no real way to actually integrate the Facebook iFrame into the website, I was thinking of simply trying to overlay the iFrame on the Flash website. This is done fairly easily from what I understand but have another issue. I want to be able to disable the iFrame when I select a button on my Flash website. Is this at all possible. Any other routes I could consider?

I wondered if anyone knew a workaround or trick that I could use to get text into google. I have a couple ideas but they're just ideas.
I would like to create an alternate page that is not flash, but a regular html page with all of the text I want google to read inside it. Somehow I use code to tell it that when a user clicks on the link, to redirect them to the flash webpage, but when a search engine sees it, to send the search engine/google to that regular html page, where it will gather all of the text and then that text will show up on google's page when you do a search and my site on google? Even if this was possible, would google frown upon this and ban me or something?
The other idea I have is to use invisible text at the bottom of my page. This will be regular html text that is the same color as my background. But I heard this can get you banned from search engines like google if you are using lots of keywords, but I wouldn't be using keywords. I'd be using the few sentences of content that their stupid crappy technology doesn't read, forcing me to bust my hump trying to find a workaround for. It sucks that google doesn't even use keywords in my metadata for rankings either. So I can't even use that with them.

I am new to flash and am trying to achieve the following: My website for Salou currently has a static image of google street view, i want to incorporate a live version that will be available on the ipad and ipod touch, will this work as i am told that google street view uses a flash plugin.
View 1 RepliesI'm currently building an application using the Adobe Facebook API and I've run into an issue where for the login method the Facebook login popup displays but when doing a Facebook share/post the popup is blocked.
This code works fine and displays me a Facebook login popup without question (Firefox):

However, the following code running in the same application throws up a popup blocker (again Firefox):

what I want to do is from my application, login to a website and retrieve information from my login and populate the relative fields on my screen, be able to make a change on my app screen then upload the changes to the website. To be able to make changes from an app would be a great help and save a lot of time rather than constantly logging into the website through a browser.
I've searched a lot on google regarding logging into websites but haven't had much luck in finding something I can use. It seems like a simple idea but it's obviously not something people use often.
I have been designing Flash Websites for years. And in the last 3 months almost all my flash websites are having the same problem, sometime it happens and sometime it doesn't. Heres what happens: When you go to the site not all the buttons and or movies load, or when you click on a button the first time it takes you to another page on the website, but if you click that same button again it goes to the correct page. Its very fickle.
I know in my actual FLA. file everything is correct, where the button goes to etc. I have to load the sites a couple times in order for all the content on the website to show up. does anyone know why this is happening? and if so how to fix it? here are some of the websites it happens on. It may have the problem for you it may not.

Is it possible to use Google Adsense on a Flex website? I've read that while Flex can interpret PHP and Javascript, it can't directly load PHP or Javascript. Therefore, it can't handle the ad invocation codes.
All the "pages" of my flex site run straight down the middle with no variation. And I've got a logo at the top of the page. So, I was thinking that it might be possible to add the Google Adsense code in Flex's HTML template. As all of my "pages" have the same lay-out, content won't overlap any ads.
I also read that there are some cross-platform/cross-browser problems using DIV layers with Flex-- that in some browsers the Flash content will render on top of all other content, regardless of depth.
My website is done using AS2. Now I have a need of having the google API in my website to display our outlets. I believe that a google API can be done using AS3 also an AS3 swf will not work inside AS2. what should I do to have the API facility in my website?

View 4 RepliesI have built a simple Flash application that will be presented using a projector, the application will show messages in the form of questions that will come from a simple flat-file text file or XML file.
In addition to this I would also like to be able to add my own messages using a simple HTML form.
I've been looking around the web for some resources, but have been struggling to find what I am looking for. The basic idea is that the flash application will loop through these different messages from the XML, but then when a user types in a message that will also appear within these messages. Think of it as a sort of dynamic tag cloud.
i have made some web pages with flash and my problem is that i want to show a thumb picture in facebook wall when i post there my website in the news tab.
i only found this to add in the index.html (?) after the head :

I'm trying to determine the practical difference between using the com.facebook.session.WebSession and com.facebook.session.JSSession. The documentation ([URL]) has more around WebSession - but the example I have which is closest to what solution I'm trying to implement uses JSSession and it looks like I could avoid all of the JavaScript pass-through & ExternalInterface calls I'm making. It appears that the benefit of using this new ActionScript Facebook API is to avoid having to make all of the Facebook calls via JavaScript.

So I need to share this video on the user timeline. Everything works fine but the video is not embedded in the post on his timeline, there is only a post with the link to the page in it.The weird thing is, if I post the url directly on my timeline, the video is embedded, but not if the same link is posted via the application.here is my code called by the share button in js :
