EDITED: I am making video using images by FFmpeg. I want to play that video in a web browser, but when the video is playing the size of that video keeps on increasing.

Jul 19, 2010I'm recording a mono audio stream using a PIC at 8-bit 8Khz and streaming it raw to another microprocessor that houses a web server. I'm currently buffering the data and turning it into a wav file that gets played in the browser. What I'd like to be able to do is continuously stream the audio as it's being recorded without putting a lot of encoding overhead on the second processor. I've been searching but most searches turn up just streaming from a stored file, but since the file size isn't known ahead of time I'm not sure how to do this without the overhead of mp3 encoding.

Feb 25, 2010when you go to the home.html page an animation will play from start and then stop at the end of it. However, for all other pages i.e contact.html aboutus.html we need the animation to skip to the end straight away and not to play the whole animation through. I was thinking this would be controlled by a variable or some kind of external text file ect. Basically in the first frame the actionscript needs to basically say
"if this html page is aboutus.html then go to the last frame and stop" and with the index page it would say "if this html page is index.html then keep playing"
ActionScript 3.0 :: Play FLV Video Commercial Then Live Stream?
Apr 8, 2009I need to play a .FLV file (a commercial), then switch over to a live RTMP stream. Then, every 30 minutes STOP the live stream (or mute/hide it if thats more efficient/effective) and play the commercial again, then continue with the stream for another 30 minutes and repeat. For some reason I'm clueless on how to do this. I don't know if I'm supposed to use timers or setInterval. For now I'm using the FLVPlayBack component (I'm too lazy to code my own right now).
It would be really cool if the script could sense when the video is done playing rather than me having to set a specific time because they might not all be the same length. I dont want my viewers seeing 15 seconds of nothing if its a 15 second commercial and I set a timer for 30 seconds.

Jul 16, 2009In order to play a FMS stream (live or on demand), either an FLVPlayback component or the Video class is needed.And they require ActionScript 3 and Flash 8 or above.
As far as i know , Youtube, Dailymotion and Google Video stream their on demand videos from a FMS, and their players are compatible with Flash 7.
How can they achieve this? If Youtube, Google and Dailymotion do that, i deduce it's possible..
I tried to create a Flash 7 application that plays a video coming from FMS, using a MediaDisplay component, but it doesn't work well. Sometimes it shows the video, sometimes not.So i don't think youtube player uses MediaDisplay..
Media Server :: Play Live Video Stream With Flex?
Sep 23, 2010I'm trying to get Flex Builder 3 to play a live video stream with Flash Media Server and Flash Live Media Encoder.
I'm able to stream pre-recrorded (vod) flvs in flex from flash media server.
I'm able to stream live video using Flash/FMS/Flas Live Media Encoder, but not with Flex.
This code streams pre-recorded Video on Demand flvs, but not live streams:
If I change source to "rtmp://localhost/live/livesream.flv, I get nothing.

Media Server :: Recording Live Streams And Play Files Later
Apr 19, 2011My Purpose is to record live streams on server side and play recorded files later. What I have done is -
1. Copied All files of applications/live in some safe location.
2. Copied all files from samples/applications/live to applications/live folder. (Deleted main.far from live folder)
3. Restricted SWF and HTML to mydomain in these files - allowedHTMLdomains.txt and allowedSWFdomains.txt
4. In main.asc I added these line in the end
var mystream;var intervalID;
[Code] .....
5. Then I restarted FMS and tried streaming using FLash Media Encoder. I was able to live stream and then i stopped it.
6. A FLV File was recorded in application/live folder with the stream name that i used in encoder.
I am able to view live video on my domain as well as some other domain, that means allowedHTMLdomains.txt and allowedSWFdomains.txt did not worked. Another issue is that I am not able to view recorded video after I stopped encoder but I was able see live video before stopping. I am using jwplayer to view the video and using flashvars streamer (rtmp://xx.xx.xx.xxx/live) and file(abc) to view the live and recorded video.

Source can't be found.". Both the server and encoder is runnind and I am encoding.Too, when I try and open the html with the stream in a browser, nothing appears.

Media Server :: Client Is Not Able Play Back The Live Stream From The FMS(Error 1009)?
Jul 13, 2011I am publishing video content to FMS with my program to livepkgr application. After i start publishing the vidoe content, files like .bootstrap, .conrol, .f4f and .meta are gettign created inside the livepkgr folder's my stream folder. But when i try to playback via OSMF player, the player is throwing error 1009. This happens for some few minutes. After some 4-5 minutes, the player start playing the live video content properly (.f4f file size is not getting updated for those few 4-5 minutes)

Jul 31, 2009Why does my swf's skin referenced by a simple component FLA work locally but NOT live? There's no AS3 in the component FLA. It's just a one-layer component referenced to the the FLV. When I test locally, IN FLASH CS4 ONLY, and click on "Animalia - Verse From the Zoo" the FLV and skin load and the video (source FLV - "Sequence01.flv") plays. But the same thing live only loads the swf for the FLV file area but NO SKIN. Try it yourself, please:Has anyone had this problem and knows the solution? All files are in the SAME FOLDER on the web server. I've tried every URL and path combination I can think of on the website. I've tried referencing the whole URL.
Yet whatever path combination I try, either nothing happens, or I just get the FLV box but no skin. Which is what's happening now. Publish settings are set to Flash Player 10 for all files. And I've tried the component SWF WITH and WITHOUT the fl.video package (import fl.video.*. No difference. Why does the skin load and play locally but not live? It's all AS3. No AS2. And it does not seem to be a "publish settings" issue as far as I can see. The relevant code in my API is:

Apr 4, 2011I have a .mov movie that I want to play on my website. In years past, I would use Adobe Video Encoder CS3 (I believe that's what it was called) and would turn the file into a .flv. Then, I believe I would use swfobject and it would display with the typical play and expand to full size buttons as well as the timeline.
I downloaded the latest version of swfobject (2.2) but this only seems to play swf files.

I have the movie on every page as it is my navigational bar however I dont want it to play except when somebody loads the homepage, and I dont want to create a static version because then my site will have to load 2 versions.Is there some query code in actionscript to query the current URL of the loaded page? I guess I just set up a conditional statement and if its true, gotoAndPlay.

May 12, 2009I just published a short movie from Flash CS4 and placed the entire set of files at this URL[URL] and when my web designer or me for that matter double clicks on the HTML file the movie doesn't play. We get a black screen and at the bottom of the frame in the progress bar there's a little green & white zebra like moving line. I'm pretty sure this is how I've delivered movies from CS3. I'm obviously missing something obvious here, but I haven't a clue. If I double click on the HTML file on my machine that has Flash installed it works great. The .FLV file plays correctly in media player also.

Dec 16, 2010I dragged the FLVPlayback to the stage and set the source to my FLV file name and set the skin to one of the options. My HTML page calls upon the published SWF file. Do I need to name the additional SWF file to the same name as my skin?
How do you publish the skin file also?
I'm thinking this issue lies with the dimensions of the movie. The FLV says it is 640 x 480. So I went in and modified the Flash document to the same. Do I need to use the Transform tool and make the actual player to these proportions so it fills the stage? - here is where the confusion lies...or is it 'smart' enough to conform. My settings are the default of 'maintain aspect ratio'.

I currently have a carousel that displays multiple SWF files and I don't want any overlapping of video or audio. I've been looking into LocalConnection and JavaScript options but with no luck. My SWF files are currently ActionScript 3 and Flash Player 10. I have a large play button on them, with the ActionScript code:

Here's my problem, I have two flash files embedded in different parts of an HTML page and I want one flash file to play the other when it gets done. I would assume that I need to use PHP or javascript to talk with the HTML file that would send the other flash file a command which it was "listening" for. I really don't know however.
