Link The Buttons On My Flash Bar To Open The Pages Into The Main Frame ?

I have created a basic flash navigation menu bar for my website. I have added the bar into a frame on my dreamweaver page. I was just wondering if it was possible to link the buttons on my flash bar to open the pages into the main frame below my navigation bar? The code I have at the moment for my "home" button is the following:
master_mc.home_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLI CK, homeF);
function homeF(e:MouseEvent):void{
var homeL:URLRequest = new URLRequest("C:UsersSalisburyDocumentsProjecti ndex.html");

and this is opening the "home" page in a new window. Is it possible to make it open it in my main frame (called mainFrame)?

I'm working through Dreamweaver fairly well, and I'm now wanted to import Flash buttons I've created myself into Dreamweaver for a website I'm currently building, and it's here that I'm finding the problem. I have been to the 'get URL Function', but it says something about needing to link to a web page? But my problem is how can I link Flash Buttons to a web page, when my site is still being developed and not published? Do I have to publish first?

I'm just picking up flash and I am trying to make a new menu of buttons in the template and I will be changing the menu that is already there, but it isn't using conventional menu coding. This is the piece of code I am trying to use for my button to lead to a different movie clip to a different frame than the one the buttons are sitting in, a separate movie clip.

customhms_btn.addEventListener('click', function(e:MouseEvent):void{
gotoAndStop('customhomes');
});
Of course there are more buttons, this is just one. Customhomes is the frame label, customhms_btn is the instance name. It tells me that customhms_btn is not defined. I have this code sitting in the movie clip that the buttons are in by itself in the first layer.

I am building a basic website and am trying to set up my buttons to link to my different pages. But some of them are not working and I have no idea why. The ones that arent working are in the red box. I really don't know why cause they are set up the same as the rest... is there a bug or something I dont know that wont make these work. I'm creating website that I want to put my resume and portfolio on as different Flash applications. For my resume it would be like a mini-web site that has various linking buttons to different pages. I tried to use scenes b/c I had a professor who told us to use scenes to create our pages/animations, and the scenes concept did not work with the actionscripting.
I then read online that scenes were not the way to go. So I'm trying to use Frame Labels to create this - right now I made a menu movie clip that I have my actionscript in for each button - the buttons have the correct instance names and I have my frames properly labeled with their movie clips attached to each for each part of the resume/page portion.
This is the code I'm using in the Menu movie clip. The problem I'm having is that when I click on each button - nothing happens! I tried this one, and nothing happened:
education.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, educationCLICK);
function educationCLICK(event:MouseEvent):void{
gotoAndPlay('education');
};
And then I tried to re-order it and nothing happened:

I have a scrollPane on my Stage and I have it linked to a movieClip containing a series of images that have been converted to buttons. Everything works fine, except I can't seem to figure out how to get the buttons to link to the main timeline. All I want is them to gotoAndPlay ("frameLableOnTheMainTimeline"). (I am using AS3)I tried a standard on Click eventListener, but am unsure of the syntax to make it go back to a specific frame on the main timeline.

I'm building a website that has a main swf with buttons that open external swfs which completely cover the main swf. The external swf has a close button to return to the main swf. My problem is when the external swf is open the buttons hiding underneath on the main swf are still active. I want to add code to the button on the main swf to disable itself while opening the external swf. BUT, I also want to reactivate them when I close the external swf. Is there code I can place on the close button of the external swf that will communicate to the main swf to reactivate its buttons? It seems so simple but this is the trickiest part for me.

I make a website. First I have a frame with a movieclip, where my entire page is within.Inside of that is where all of my pages is in different frames, and in each of these frames there are other movieclips with content. My example:Top level /Entire site/My pages, in different frames /Movies/Pictures/About/Etc./Content (inside the "Movies") /Info about movies/Movie one/Movie two/Etc./My problem is as easy as this: I will link from the "My pages" level, to the first frame in "Content" (info about movies)If i just link to the, "Movies" frame, I can't get from "Movie One" to Info about movies by pressing the button, wich lies on the "My pages" Level.

im creating a character sheet and all i have to do is get the character to do a few things, im using Stan from american dad, so he draws his gun, salutes, and does this guns speech, only problem is. i can get him to salute by using the code

this links fine, the salute is in a movieclip on frame 2 of the timeline, and the button is set to link to this.problem starts after the movieclip finishes playing, how to return to frame 1 on the main timeline, ive tried gotoAndStop("1") amongst other things (gotoAndStop ("Scene 1", 1)ive also tried frameLables too but that didnt work, though im not sure if i was doing that right to start with.Then im having a problem with my other buttons, even when set to on(release){gotoAndPlay("3");} they still go to frame 2 (with salute on)

[URL] On the left you will see a menu, it will be flash (actionscript MX 2004) and for the effect I want it will have to be flash. Now, heres the tricky part for me: I want those links to open up different pages inside the black center box either using frames or php. How could this be done? On the menu part, also, with the buttons, I need to make them movie clips for the effect I need for the rollover, but I want the movieclip to have a hitspace, how do I assign a movie clip a hit space.

I designed a flash banner with buttons. I am trying to get those buttons linked to other pages in my website. I have tried several methods but none appear to work. The first thing I tried to was to assign the buttons to my other webpages through using the behaviours under the windows tab in Flash CS4. It worked when using the publish preview option (preview in flash) and choosing Flash, but when I went to add the banner to my webpage through Dreamweaver, the buttons would not work. I tried another method and used actionscript 3.0. I kept getting errors.

I work with 3d animation. Im have a problem with a personal website Im doing, I have a link in a button inside a flash movie to open a new window and play a youtube movie:

This works fine in Firefox but in IE it doesnt work, I then change the /v/ in the youtube link with /p.swf?video_id= and now I have the window open showing the small youtube thumbnail of my video but once a click play, nothing happens, I check it and is not loading anything.

I created a very simple website with the flash export capability of Adobe Encore. To my disappointment there is a noticeable black flash between the different pages which makes the project basically useless. What is causing the black frame and is there a way to fix it? I have included all the files involved as an attachement so you can take a look at the code if you want!

I have continued to find a resolution and have had no luck. My website has 5 flash buttons (tabs) to take you to a new html page. Each time you go to a page the button seems to have to re-load creating a "white blinking" inside the cell. The background of the fla file is black and I have the table cell background set to black hoping thatbut to no avail. I thought once a swf is loaded it won't have to re-load. The swf files are the same on all pages

I've created a flash naviagation menu and currenlly my links will open a pop up window. I don't want this. I want it to open the link in the same window. Here is the code for one of the links:

The problem aren't about html, php or webdesign itself I believe, but the problem is the flash menu. The menu is coded to open the buttons in the same window, but it doesn't, it opens the links in a new tab/window which is very annoying, I've tried to fix it by adding "_self" to the flash file, but it doesn't work at all now, it doesn't go anywhere when I press on the menu!
