I have a asp.net master page that gets used by pages many /levels/deep/. I will put a link to a flash file in this template. I tried doing it like this but it did not work, what the best practice here?

I have created a basic flash navigation menu bar for my website. I have added the bar into a frame on my dreamweaver page. I was just wondering if it was possible to link the buttons on my flash bar to open the pages into the main frame below my navigation bar? The code I have at the moment for my "home" button is the following:

I have been to the 'get URL Function', but it says something about needing to link to a web page? But my problem is how can I link Flash Buttons to a web page, when my site is still being developed and not published? Do I have to publish first?
View 3 RepliesI am using the MovieClipLoader object to load a swf into a master swf. I am the using a series of buttons to load various swfs into the master.swf - i.e.; navigation. Her is the code that I am using for the movie clip buttons go to frame 2 of the external swf MM_work is the movie clip that acts as a button. The first three lines of the function give the button its various states and interactivity the final line in the function is telling the movement.swf to load into the master.swf (or level 0) thus booting out the previous movie clip.What I want to be able to do is to fade out the current movie clip loaded into the master.swf (level 0) and once that has been completed to then load in movement.swf. Basically fading out the existing movie clip before loading the next one.

On the over state I have changed the colour of the text and in the properties inspector typed in the email commanAnyway the text becomes underlined and when I test the movie and mouseover the text jumps up a little and is not smooth. Is there anyway to get rid of this underline. VERY ANNOYING.
View 2 RepliesI'll try again, but this time I can add a link to the .fla my issue is this - I am building a website but the pages jump around - they don't stay still like they should[URL] the file is called "all files" - the main .fla is called "history" - there are two .swf's "wagon" and "band" if you test the website (CTRL+ENTER) and jump around between the pages for 20-30 seconds you will notice the pages jump around like crazy by themselves.
View 5 RepliesI'm just picking up flash and I am trying to make a new menu of buttons in the template and I will be changing the menu that is already there, but it isn't using conventional menu coding. This is the piece of code I am trying to use for my button to lead to a different movie clip to a different frame than the one the buttons are sitting in, a separate movie clip.

Of course there are more buttons, this is just one. Customhomes is the frame label, customhms_btn is the instance name. It tells me that customhms_btn is not defined. I have this code sitting in the movie clip that the buttons are in by itself in the first layer.
I am building a basic website and am trying to set up my buttons to link to my different pages. But some of them are not working and I have no idea why. The ones that arent working are in the red box. I really don't know why cause they are set up the same as the rest... is there a bug or something I dont know that wont make these work. i am building a website that uses a flash dropdown menu and i am having some trouble getting the dropdown items to link to the pages.here is the code i am using

this is in an actionscript layer and works fine for the first set but when i try to use this same code for the other dropdown sections i get errors.i think it is because i an repeating the function but i cant get it to work without it either so i imagine i only need that function in the first set but i cant figure out how the other sets should look.
Making buttons that open another url is easy enough, but for some reason I'm having a huge amount of trouble having a navigation button open new content on my website, such as moving from the Home content to the Menu content (the layout is static, only one small section filled with content changes.
I think the issue is that I can't figure out how to code it due to the fact that there are a good amount of nested movie clips, I'm not sure how to direct it to the place and frame I want.

I believe it has something to do with the array, considering it works when I remove the array stuff. What i'm trying to do is to be able to move objects through an array with my gravitate() function in the Grav Class.

I've in my flash scene main page and sub pages scattered in different ereas at the scene, but the scene start from main page and that what will show only, now if I clicked any link the scene carry us to the link page in the same scene, and from that page I can press any other link to start moving over the scene to different pages.

View 1 RepliesI have a video object that dynamically changes. I want to put that inside of a movieclip that is always 320,240 no matter what the video object size is. I want the video object to increase or decrease but I always want to display it at 320,240. How would I write this? I tried:

But the video object still is large (my video object is 480,360 in this case). It seems like it is not nested inside of the the videoDisplay sprite which should only be 320,240.
I have the Adobe CS4 Master Collection and I'm interested in purchasing Flash CS5 by itself, rather than the entire Master Collection. I want to get the upgrade discount, but I was wondering if I can only upgrade from the version I have. (e.g. Master CS4 --> Master CS5 ; Design Premium CS4 --> Design Premium CS5)So, if I buy the upgrade version of Flash CS5, will I be able to install it?

DW opens and using one of its templates, no problems so far.Read about <supposedly> certain .Wacom tablet drivers and flash...don't have any such device installed, but stopped the generic windows tablet service....no change in the problem.
if I can upgrade the Flash that is part of my CS3 Master Collection to Flash CS4 without having to upgrade the entire suite.

I would like to know how to track my pages with google analytics to see which pages are getting the most clicks. My site is XML / Flash the menu is xml. Could I put the tracking code on each of the menu items in the xml file?
