Php :: Passing Variables To Actionscript From MySQL To Play A Audio File?

How can you bring in a path as a variable from php? I have hundreds of mp3 file names stored in a My SQL database and I want to call the name, load it into a variable and then have it replace the URL in the call to the sound file. I am all set with the PHP and database side of things, but I have been frustrated with the Flash part. I think it would just involve passing a variable from php to flash. The web pages we are building would eventually have 10 - 15 files per page and each one would have a different sound file and a different image that you could click to trigger the sound. First click would start the file and the second would stop the sound. The images and sound files are all stored in the database.I found this code on another post and it is basically what I want to do. Still missing the button part, but if I can figure out the variable from PHP I think it will open up a bunch of new options.

I have created two buttons for separate audio files. Essentially if you click on the button it will play and stop. This works great! I have also injected a SoundMixer.stopAll(); to ensure if you click between both buttons that it will stop the current audio file to play the next one. My problem is when I select the 2nd button for the first time everything seems to be working...it's when I attempt to click on the first button again, that it will require 2 clicks and then it stops and plays accordingly...anyone know how I could eliminate this annoying two click process?

I am trying to pass a variable into my flash from my html code. In my html flash code I have a variable "id" with a value:hotels. HTML Code:hotel_carousel.swf?id=hotelsIn my flash movie I want to use the value "hotels" in my xml.load() funtion. But I am having some trouble and I think it has to do with strings. But I am not sure.

I have used the kirupa tutorial for passing variables to a flash file, which in theory all makes sense, however my code only appears to partially work.. this if from frame 1 of the movie:
if (movie=="" or movie==1) {
_root.section = "image1.swf";
}if (movie==2) {

It'll load image3.swf if i use myfile.swf?movie=3 but any other variables will result in the else running (even no value).

I'm trying to force the Flash player to play video files without showing screens. I did try to set vidDisplay.visible to false. But it seemed not working at all.I was doing was try to build a generic media player. I have an audio player that has a custom timeline and playhead. I am using a start and stop drag to move in the time line but the only way i can make it work is to have it play when ever I release the play head. I would like it to stay stopped if the player is paused and play if the player was playing.

My server is streaming binary audio data (mostly mp3 files) to a client (a browser). This client stores the audio data in memory.
What I'm looking for is a flash audio player that I can input the binary audio data so that it can play the audio file.
Preferably, the flash client is merely a bridge to Javascript so that I can handle everything in Javascript and simply use Flash's audio features, but this is not a requirement.

Making a piano/keyboard application and trying to figure out the best way to set this up .I plan on having a directory of sounds for each 'instrument' in my assets folder (piano1/C4.mp3,piano1/D4.mpg,...)Is there a way to import/embed all of these as an array? Also is there a way I can pass a variable to this class to indicate which folder I want to import these from? Something that would be ideal

I want to play *.spx files which encoded by Speex on the Web.But I have no knowledge of Flash/Flex or any Flash Audio codec. After Google search for a whole day, I got some solutions, that is:
Do something wrapping Speex files with a FLV container because that the Speex is only playable as the audio codec in a FLV container.Now I can play a SPX-Audio-Only FLV file in Flex, I use netStream.play("audio-only-speex.flv"), But I donot know how to wrap a Spx file with FLV container using ActionScript.I have never heard FMS stuffs before, as well as I'm not sure whether my virtual host can support or not...Convert every Spx files to MP3.

I am using Freddy Thunder's tutorial on how to make a login script with php/mySQL The problem is that the button doesn't do anything when I click it. I can't tell if it goes to the php script, but it sure doesn't return the correct variables like it is supposed to.

When I pass a single variable (telephone) from Flash using the below it works fine

I can read the variable in PHP using $key_telephone = $HTTP_GET_VARS[telephone];
and then run sql command to insert into table customers mysql_query("INSERT into customers (telephone) values ($key_telephone) ");

I'm looking for a (free) flash player that I can embed in my site and use to play a .m4a (.mp4 with AAC audio) file that will be obtained using a URL (i.e. it's not local to the server hosting the web page).I've tried searching on google for one, but either I'm searching wrong or no one has made such a thing. Ideally this would be very simple (small user interface with play button and maybe a progress bar) and it would be easy to have multiple instances of on an html page (can create the player with an <object> tag).

I'm able to record sound with a Flash application embedded in my website, this audio is saved to a ByteArray, which I need to pass to Javascript in order to post to my server along with other required data.
I know I can use AS3 ExternalInterface class to communicate with Flash from Javascript, but what would be the appropriate format or variable type in javascript to hold the ByteArray, and how can I ensure that I won't lose much audio data when doing so?

I have a swf with an input text box and a button. When the button is clicked, I need it to open another swf in a new window on a different domain and pass the variables to a dynamic text box in the new window. I looked at local connect but I wasn't sure it would work because the two windows wouldn't necessarily be loaded at the same time and they are on different domains.

I am loading images into a movie clip dynamically from an XML file. Based on what image the user clicks, I would like to be able to open a separate window, displaying a different image. Ideally, I'd pass the variable of which image was selected to the new open window.I've done some research online, and am thinking I'm making this harder than it needs to be.
