Php :: Database Sending Multiple Rows X Cols To Flash

I have a Mysql database and I am trying to import multiple records with multiple columns into Flash AS3 using PHP. My problem is I am able to make it work with a single column and multiple records but for multiple columns I am not being able to format it correctly. What i wish to have is an array(of records) of associative arrays(of columns) i.e. I want to be able to partition the output (from php) based on '|' and store it in a flash array and then be able to access name,id for each of them (see below the code).[code]the problem is I get an array of names,id but the myArray ForFlash is empty (which is kind of expected).

how to send data from a flash to a database and how the receive it aswell. Im presuming you pass the data from the flash to a php file to the database when sending and call the data using a php file to the database aswell. What im trying to do is just have a button that will increment a number in a database by 1 and then display that information on a different Frame within the flash later.
Basically what i want to do if have a button pressed to increment a number in a database.

I am looking for some advice on creating a flash sound game. The visuals are all done as is the animation. I am trying to create a piano, that you can play a tune, somehow (when pressing down a button) 'record' the sound and once you have finished, send the link to the sound you have created to a friend, where it can be played back when they visit the website and see what you did.

I have a table (session) in a database which has almost 72,000 rows. I extract those rows with the help php+mysql but when the result is returned to the HTTPService, i need to wait for some 32 seconds before the all the rows start appearing in the DataGrid at once.
Question Is there any way by which DataGrid may start displaying data one by one while the application may extract next rows in parallel. Or that the DataGrid may show data in chunks of hundreds. Like when application starts, it may show first 400 enteries in DataGrid, then the next 400 hundred are extracted until all the 72,000 rows are extracted? Or can i involve threading such that one thread may be responsible for displaying data in datagrid while the other, executing in parallel may be responsible for extracting next data from database?

I have a problem with a flashpage I am developing. It sends a request to a database through a php-file and retrieve a text that I place in a textfield. The problem is that the swedish and other specialcharacters is shown in code format looking like this u00e4 . I know both my php-file and database is correct because I have used the same request with the same php-file and database in a android app and it works perfect.

There are a few examples on the web showing how to post a row/form to mysql with flex php. I think it will be valuable if it allows user to post multiple rows of data. Supposed I have a datagrid and its id is myDG, how can I post the datagrid data to a table in mysql? I am using Flash Builder 4 and I need a solution based on Flex 3/4 + PHP + MySQL.

[URL] I'd like to be able to have multiple rows or columns for the thumbnails as apposed to just one continues line, say 7collums by 4 rows of thumbnails or any given amount for that matter. This is more of a database design issue but almost everybody here uses database integration with their apps so I feel it is important. I am integrating AS3 + mysql + php and need to clear up the database design for multiple students results in various activities. Developing an online e-learning course with a "dashboard" or teacher control panel with all kids results in each activity. I have read the database design rules by Codd etc... understand the need for parent and child tables so information is relational and not duplicated etc... BUT I am not sure how to design the results part. Various students do various lessons with 10 activities which each give a mark out of ten. The table would be updating every few seconds as 10,000 users would be online at the same time
1. Would I create a results table with all the students results going in the same table ie: Tom would be the first row

I have a flex datagrid with 3 columns. The first column contains the image name(unique key). The other two columns have username and size details. I want to split the username into lastname, firstname, address and some other stuff. Can we have multiple rows in the grid for one image? Tried multi-line, it works but we need to keep adding spaces and its cumbersome. Since each row in the flex datagrid is represented by one index in the XMLList which is enumerated, is there a way to have more than one row assigned to one image and shown in the grid? something like this.

I am trying to delete multiple rows in the sqlite table in my Adobe AIR app (runtime 2.5).
Here is the statement, using the "IN" operator:
"DELETE FROM mylist WHERE tdId IN (tdId1, tdId2, tdId3, ...)";
Where tdId1, tdId2, etc. will be determined at runtime based on which row(s) the user chooses to delete. The user can delete arbitrary number of rows.
I've tried something like:
//delete statement text
"DELETE FROM mylist WHERE tdId IN :tdId";
//delete statement parameters: take 1.

It would seem too much of trouble to chain these deletes with a callback. So I guess I am using my last resort: building the sql at runtime. Conclusion: Cached statements can't be used in these kind of situations...

I know j2se for the desktop and oracle SQL/MySQL i finally got the feeling that i need to learn PHP anyway along with css and javascript. So it is fine. Also another query. I'm kind of stuck on something and I haven't been able to find out how to get around this. I have a form that consists of 3 pages. User fills out the first page, then clicks continue, fills out second page, then clicks continue again, then fills out final page then submits. Usually when I build a form, it's just on one page so I just send all of the variables to a php file. In this situation, I'm not sure how I could jump from page to page.

I need to send a HTTP request (and get XML response) from Flash that looks similar to following:

I.e. having several parameters that share same name, but have different values.
Until now I used following code to make HTTP requests:

I have code to send a movieclip to a frame label which works just fine, but I want to pull the frame labels from a database for multiple movieclips and send them to different frames.. the following works :-

but once in a loop, I'm having problems... is it down to the syntax ?

Case1: When a client makes a remoteObject request ie to save some Info... A call is made to Java SAVE_INFO method. If request failed ie came back to FaultHandler ( we save the info in an arrayCollection).Later we call SAVE_INFO again for each item in arrayCollection ie( if arrayCollection has 10 items.. We call 10 times the same method.. I know that's kind of stupid but we have no control over java to write a overloading method). Some times we see there are multiple records of same info in DB. I am not sure if this happens when looping over arraycollection and making calls or during normal one time call. We could not find a pattern to reproduce. Java LOG level is at Error level in production. can't set to INFO in production to monitor all calls. We dont know if this multiple times saved record is, the one in arrayCollection or normal one.

In my main .fla file I have a movie clip onstage called "square". The movieclip is empty. Below that are five buttons (black, red, blue, green, remove) which, depending on the color button clicked, would load into the empty "square" clip either a movie called "black_square.swf", "red_square.swf", "blue_square.swf" or "green_square.swf". Only one such movie at a time is loaded into the clip. Clicking the "remove" button empties the clip. I've also got a "submit" button, which, when I click it, I'd want to submit the name of whatever .swf file happens to be loaded to a database. If nothing is loaded I want the record created to show the "square" movieclip was empty.
I've been able to make an application that has a central movie clip containing 20-something other clips. The application lets people create their own design of a particular item, choosing the colors of every component to this item (each of which is loaded into its own component-specific movie clip). One of the movie clips can be populated by a .jpg or .png file a user himself uploads. Once finished, people can print or save this design by choosing the appropriate button on this app. What I'm trying to do is find a way to also pass this design, created from multiple movie clips into a central clip, into a database as well.
The movie clips are "driven" by 21 color chip buttons each which has an instance name of a color, i.e. "black", "brown", "dark_green", etc. By a series of switch/case statements, when one clicks a "component" button (there are approximately 13-15 components) they load into the clips a movie named "(model)_(view)_(component)_(color (event.target.name)).swf". There are many "models" to choose from but within the stage only one "model" is selected at a time, so that wouldn't change here.
The design can be viewed from front, back, left or right, so that's what the "view" is - the colored components that are the same save for the view (i.e., an object which can be seen from either the front or left view) are loaded into movie clips that are either visible or invisible depending on which view one selects. Is there a way I can attach a variable name to a movie clip which is selected (bearing in mind that the application viewer can change the color of each component (and therefore the clip loaded) at will) to be read by the database? Or would the name of whatever movie clip itself that happens to be loaded be sufficient? "populating a database from contents of a movie clip".

I want to create a Flex 3 application running in Adobe Air that accesses an SQLite database and I need to keep this database in sync with an SQL server 2005 database running a website.Is this something that Flex supports or is it going to be a custom script? Also, has anybody done anything like this?
Edit: The synchronisation can be done on a daily basis rather than real time. The data will be read only from a front end perspective with a CMS to do updates on the website.

I have researched this issue all over and most people say use the .refresh() method to update a datagrid after updating or adding a new record. This does not do anything. So, my issue is this. I have a mySQL database hosted I am connecting via PHP, I have 1 mxml file and 2 php files (I know I can use just 1 but I am learning and this was easier for me to use for troubleshooting). The issue is no matter what I change on the datagrid the update does not show on the datagrid unless I close out of IE and reopen it. I can refresh or open the page in another window and the update does not show. I have to exit entirely and restart in order for any updates or additions to show.Here is my licenseTracker.mxml
