[URL] I'd like to be able to have multiple rows or columns for the thumbnails as apposed to just one continues line, say 7collums by 4 rows of thumbnails or any given amount for that matter. I've been trying for past thew hours with no luck (not that crash out with action script) and I can't find any examples on the web.

I have a file uploader that uses a file reference list (FRL) to upload files. However what I want to do is use the FRL to display all the images/files that were selected and then display them in either a list, or photo gallery. I would lean more towards the photo gallery approach but I don't know how to dynamically lay out the thumbnails properly.
What's the best way to display the thumbnails in rows 3 pictures wide and then skip down a line etc.Now ofcourse I don't know how many files will be selected so my next question would be can I draw the thumbnail gallery in a seperate container (or frame sort of like in VB) and then have that container have it's own scroll bars?
Another thread I will hopefully resolve before someone replies. I'm making a picture gallery and putting a bunch of thumbnails in a container.

There are a few examples on the web showing how to post a row/form to mysql with flex php. I think it will be valuable if it allows user to post multiple rows of data. I want to split the username into lastname, firstname, address and some other stuff. Can we have multiple rows in the grid for one image? Tried multi-line, it works but we need to keep adding spaces and its cumbersome. Since each row in the flex datagrid is represented by one index in the XMLList which is enumerated, is there a way to have more than one row assigned to one image and shown in the grid? something like this.

My problem is I am able to make it work with a single column and multiple records but for multiple columns I am not being able to format it correctly. What i wish to have is an array(of records) of associative arrays(of columns) i.e. I want to be able to partition the output (from php) based on '|' and store it in a flash array and then be able to access name,id for each of them (see below the code).[code]the problem is I get an array of names,id but the myArray ForFlash is empty (which is kind of expected).

Here is the statement, using the "IN" operator:
"DELETE FROM mylist WHERE tdId IN (tdId1, tdId2, tdId3, ...)";
Where tdId1, tdId2, etc. will be determined at runtime based on which row(s) the user chooses to delete. The user can delete arbitrary number of rows.
I've tried something like:

It would seem too much of trouble to chain these deletes with a callback. So I guess I am using my last resort: building the sql at runtime. Conclusion: Cached statements can't be used in these kind of situations...

View 3 RepliesI have a DataGrid which contains a DataGridColumn with a textinput and DataGridColumn with a Button.The DataGrid is bound to some XML which displays values in the text box.When the button for a row is clicked I need to get the value out of the text box and save it into the relevant XML node.My solution was just to pass the id of the row to the button click event then loop over the rows until I find the id then just grab the text box value. Simple. However the only advice I can find on looping over the rows is via the underlying dataProvider, which is nonsense as the two aren't the same thing.

It is possible to have buttons as [MOVE UP] and [MOVE DOWN] so that when I select a row in a datagrid and press one of those button that the order changes and the seqno updates accordingly.
Meaning if I select Jane and press the [MOVE UP] button, the new order would be;

I have a table which stores high-scores, along with player ids. I want to be able to extract a record by a players id, and then get the rank, or position of their score in the table. Means, Basically I want to be able to say "you are in Nth" position, purely based on the players score against all other scores. For Example: if i am at 46th position then to me the position message will be like you are at 46th position out of total scores. Can anyone show me small example?

I realise that the size of the jpg determines the point at which the second row is displayed so can I do it easily by determining that the third mc has been reached so start a new row?
I have a datagrid that displays the contents of the array gotoArray[i], my only problem is that whenever an item gets added to the array the labels all go onto the same row instead of into sperate ones.
So it looks like this all on one row: Frame1, Frame2.....
