i have situation in which i have some library projects, say
"DataProcessors","Lib2"
, included in my lets say "MainProject" (a web project) placed on directory
"E:in-debugMainProject.swf"
, when i build the project it automatically place all the libs .swf in its "E:in-debug" folder, but when i debug or run the project it it gives loading error that
I have a db file Resided in Flex Air Bindebug Folder,Here i want to Move/save this db File at another location let say In mydocument/or any Folder, I am not able to do it's programatically.
I want to create a panel (or any other component) inside a component that has a 5 pixel border on all sides, but scales fully when the window is resized. I know I can set width to "100%" to make it resize, but that gives me no borders. If I put it to "95%",I have borders, but they scale annoyingly. Also, that only works for borders on the right or lower bounds, and not to the left or upper sides. Is there a convenient way to do this without having to write tons of resize-code (in which case I will not bother and just accept bad rescale behaviour, as it is for a private pet project).
EDIT: I know that I can just overwrite the display handling and set the positions manually every frame. I wondered if there is a cheap way to do it in the mxml-structure, along these lines:
<mx:Panel> width="100%" height="100%" </mx:Panel>
Coming from C++ and Java, I am intrigued by the option of setting something to "95%" and let the library work out the details, instead of having to write many lines of code, just so my text-area always keeps a 5 pixel distance from the border, but scales with window width. If there is no easier way to do it than figuring out pixel sizes by hand and setting the coordinates.
i am trying to create a flash movie for my browser page. i am able to import and export the movie just fine, the problem comes after i export the movie. As long as i leave the flash file in the folder it was created in things work great. If i try to move the folder or rename the folder it stops working. It acts like it cant find the flv file i created the flash with. if i rename or move the folder back where it was created things work fine.
I am creating an autorun exe file. Basically the CD is filled with markering materials. What I need to know is how to get Flash to open a folder on the CD so the viewer can pick from what is in side the folder.
How do I prevent a user from dropping an item outsider a folder? My dataProvider is only 1-level deep.It seems that with a DragEvent handler or DragDrop handler I can find the data of the item I'm dragging, but not where I'm dropping ( so I can prevent it ).
i have a flash movie that is coded in flex and when i upload it to the web it requires that i also upload my /music folder or it wont work. is this normal?
because i have about 3mbs of music and my swf's size is only 1.3mbs and im trying to use the flash compression but i dont think itlll actually be compressing the music...
Why does FlexBuilder insist on a main class in the root of the source folder? By insist I mean that if I create an Actionscript project called MainTest. A file called MainTest.as will be placed in the root of the src folder. if I now create a package/folder called some/package and place the MainTest.as in it (and adjust the package statement accordingly), I cannot select the project to use this as the application class in Properties/Actionscript Applications as the package is empty as far as Flexbulider is concerned.
So there is a restriction that a main/application class cannot have a package other than the root package. The mxmlc compiler and FDT do not enforce this restriction so why does Flex Builder?
I have three images and I want change the images size based on the scene size (default size is 1024x768). After each image has completely loaded I call bindableUtils.setter to set width/height when scene size changes but I don't know how to make a pointer or something like that. I'm using a public var img, but it only works with the last complete image.
Here is my code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
Could you explain why a Flash Builder source folder - no larger than 2 MB - compiles into a SWF exceeding 15 MB with debugging turned off (exported release build)?
There is only 1 embedded image at about 93k - no other images. The application is not that complicated, basically calls are made to a MySQL db to display information, as well as store information. I have used drop shadows and borders, but all standard to Flash Builder. Some custom classes and one custom skin.
I AM USING AIR FOR ANDROID. I want to get all the jpg's (or Mp3's) in a folder of an external folder ... that will be stored on the users PHONE with included in the APP.

I am using Flash CS3 and Actionscript 2.0.I want to make a photo.jpg that is in my images folder load into a swf that is in a swf folder. It works fine when I have the photo.jpg in the same folder as the swf. But it does not work when I have the photo.jpg in a different folder. What must I do to the AS2 to make this happen? Here is the path: mcLoader.loadClip("swf/images/photo1.jpg",mcHolder);
How do I import a class that resides outside the root folder of a fla file?
From root I should go back two folders to get the classes I want, which by the way is TweenMax. I don't want to copy these classes to every website's folder.
Is it possible to loadMovie into the main movie when the swf is not located in the same folder that the main swf is locatedThis is the script that works when I am loading the swf from the same folder as the main swf,
How can I change the location of the src folder? Right now I can just move the src folder from the navigator to some other location, but it's not being referenced as the src folder. (it doesn't have the square-ry icon on the folder icon)?
If I copy all the files from the debug folder and paste it somewhere it stops working gives me a sandbox error. ( I am not using any absolute paths) and everything seems to be fine in debug folder.
I'm working with modules and each of it will be compiled (deployed) in a common folder in a webproject. In the main class I defined an array of module paths which I need for loading all these defined modules.
How can I make that more dynamically, for instance, I want to say, load all modules in a certain folder an its subfolders without to know each module by name.
How can i get all the files in a given folder in flex project. the folder is within the project itself, under src folder, like.[code]I want to get the names of all jpg file in an array.. how it can be done programmaticly?
I am having an issue with sockets where the data I'm sending is getting truncated on the client side (Flash/Flex). The data that is sent by my server is full and in tact, but flash does not wait the appropriate amount of time before firing an event saying to read the data. This results in the data not getting fully read and (as such) I can't parse the object out of it after that. We are exploring the possibility of stripping the object into smaller chunks, but the idea is for it to be as lightweight as possible so we would much rather get it to work the way it's supposed to than patch in a temporary solution.I'm not entirely sure if referring to it as the receive 'buffer' is correct, as some computers are able to receive all of the data and others are having it truncated (which means the buffer is adequate but flash isn't waiting the appropriate amount of time to dispatch the event for whatever the reason).
I figured out how to get a TextField to maintain focus when the tab key is pressed (using an event listener on FocusEvent.KEY_FOCUS_CHANGE), but what I'd like to do is control the size of the tab character in the TextField so that it is equal to five spaces. (I would just insert five spaces when the tab key is pressed, however due to requirements this is not an option.) Is this possible?
I need to set the size of SWF up to 800x600. But i don't know where can i change this property. There was an idea to change stage width and heigth, but nothing happened=(
I'm loading and displaying a large image say 6000 x 6000 px using an image tag. I wanted to take a snapshot of the image. But the maximum limit I get is 2880 px dimensions using Flex 4, flash player 10. Didn't the limit of FP 10 increased to 4096 px? Then why am I getting 2880? Is there a way to increase that size.
