ActionScript 1/2 :: Animate A Button That Can Move Back Slowly?
Dec 12, 2011
ok you know when on a button it may "move up" or somthing and then you get off the button and it pops righ back into place.. how do u make it move slowly and fluently back to the position.. like if you have 4 different boxes, and you click it and the arrows move to next box, but if the first box is clicked again, it will moved up to previous box smoothly back to the first box, what code do i need for this...?
I am trying to animate an image of a butterfly so the wings flap slowly. The wings flap slowly down and as they come up they turn into different wings, turning the butterfly into a different butterfly after each second flap. I have about 30 or so images of butterflies to do this with. I have photoshop'd them so that each butterfly is split into 3 parts - the wings and the body. I was thinking to load the butterflies and then transform the wings but I am not sure how to do this.
I am still quite new to AS. I'd like to rotate a circle (compass_mc) around its centerpoint slowly forth/back with +/- 45 degree...or better with random degree. As file size is important, I can not solve it with MotionTween. Up to this time I applied this code to the MC, which endlessly rotates it: iranytu_mc.onEnterFrame = function(){ this._rotation+=1; } How to apply that sort of random slow forth/back rotation to the circle with AS?
This may be a big ask, and I am just a beginner in coding - but can someone tell me what is wrong with this code? (it is fairly short. The intentions of this code is to make the predefined object hero to move with acceleration and to slowly decelerate over time.
I have the following code which will bring my Banner_mc onto the middle of my Introduction page with some effects. Now, I want this movie clip to wait for a while and then move to right until it disappear with the same effects. How can I do that?
well i want to make buttons that on rollover move to left, on rollout move back to their initial position, and if clicked, they but stay this time at the final rollover place, and be there until something else is clicked. When something else is clicked, the previous button , returns to its initial place. So i ve got it all figured out except for the freeze and move part when the buttons are clicked. All it does now , is when they are clicked they freeze at the position i want, but i havent got a clue how to update them, after so they start moving back, and reacting on rollover and rollout, when the next button is clicked.
Using Tween class maybe? I tried the easeOut. But if will write 2 Tween, the 2nd one will overwrite the 1st one, so I only see the obj moving in the 2nd Tween direction, not the 1st Tween direction. I know the coordinates for the 2nd Tween below is not correct (cos all coordinates shld follow the defined reference point), so I need to find out the logo's width and height. But is alright now cos it is for testing purpose.
i ve an animation of many symbols(mc). I want that when they all finish into a resultant graphic, i click a button on stage and the whole result moves to the right and another object appears
I am having some dificulty making a path for this enemy i'm trying to create... cause i want him to rotate + move, then stop, then shoot, then rotate back and move off screen... Its easier if you see it.. you can download the swf file in the zipped archive to demonstrate what i mean. I did it there with tweens. Anyway.. i tried and make it but i'm a little stuck on the stopping part... you can also see what i did in the fla file attatched...
basically this code will work like a browser back button its very simple but "could end up very long" basically it will act "similiar to the browser back button"
Code:
on (release) { if(page1 = _currentframe){ _root.gotoAndStop("quiz"); } else if (page0 = _currentframe){
[code]....
it works when the (page1 = _currentframe){ is rotated with the first if statement...because for somereason it seems to not recognise the "else if's"
I have a Flash website with 3 interfaces( 3 frames with movie clips inside). they have a button that goes to different loaded .html page(text). But once the back button is pushed on the web browser, it always goes back to the first frame instead of the actual last page, which might have been frame 2 or 3.
The title pretty much sums up what I am trying to do: I haven't started digging into using script in Flash yet, still being very much a beginner.
I created a simple file using movie clips nested in buttons so that when I mouseover a letter, it bobs up and down, but I can't work out how to make it return to its original "up" state *smoothly* when the mouse is moved away. If it must involve script please be aware I am a total noob!
OK, at first this seemed like the easiest thing to do, but I've tried to make it work a number of different ways and nothing seems to work. I have a movie clip that I want to have constantly moving back and forth across the stage, basically "bounce" off the left and right sides. What's the best way to do this using AS2?
I have made a simple "maze game".Player is sent to frame 10 if they reach the end goal or frame 20 if they accidentally "rollover" my walls (button). In frame 1, I successfully remove the mouse and add a Movie Clip to the Mouse/Cursor. I remove the MC when they go to frame 10 OR frame 20 and then when they replay and are sent back to frame 1. The MC again appears as the Cursor. GREAT. Now here's my problem. When they are sent back to frame 1, I want the Cursor to be at an exact position to replay the game. Right now, it ends up wherever they have the cursor pointing and if it is touching my "walls", game over immediately. Here is the code I have on frame 1. It is working BUT I need to add code that makes the cursor ALSO go to a specific position.
I have created a motion-tween with three images rotating in a flat circle from the foreground to the back. As the images move to the background, they shrink in size 25% and darken a bit. The motion has three stopping stages, with each image having a period in the foreground.
I am having an issue figuring how to make the images in the front to overlap those in the back as it rotates. I have tried placing each image on a seperate layer and placing the images on a single layer but it doesn't function the way I hope.
I'm having issues with a dynamic text box not displaying the any text. I've tested this on the main timeline, and everything works. When I move the textbox back a couple of MC's, nothing displays.
_root.bullets_mc.flip_mc.points_display.text = "You have a total of "+formatNumber(totalEntries) + "Hits";
I would like to be able to move images into and out of Flex by converting back and forth between ByteArrays. I've been having some trouble with this, so I designed a simple test program, and even that I can't get to work. Here's the code I'm trying right now:
[Code]...
So far the process follows top to bottom: Click button 3, image displays, everything is going well. Click button 4, and I get "Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type." after the line "loader.loadBytes(myByeArray);" in the function button4_clickHandler. As far as I can tell I'm using everything as intended.
I tried to create simple animation from this Kirupa's tutorial My aim is to make a circle run from left to right and when it is almost to the edge it will move back to the origin point and it will loop only 3 times. So I came up with totally baby script like this:
[Code]...
But the MC is not move back to the original place. Sorry for not even finish the script for stop looping. Only tweak on play loop it make me very confused. My knowledge is quite in entry level but I eager to learn. Could you let me know what is wrong with the script?
I have an animation that I want the user to be able to move back and forth by clicking Next_btn or Back_btn buttons. Here's what I've done.
[Code]...
I can navigate through the movie correctly, until I navigate back to frame 1 ("start"). After this, when I click on the Next button, the movie goes to the last frame without stopping at "KMT2".
how do I script a movieclip to repeatedly fade/move/scale from x to z back to x to z again and again..I've tried onEnterFrame with ..if statements and whatnot but with no luck.[code]
I'm trying to make an application in cs4 that allows the user to move a stickman into various positions and then play back the sequence of moves. Despite the fact that I haven't even gotten that far yet I also would need an undo and redo button. I have a few ideas regarding this i.e. logging each body part's coordinates as the user moves them and editing the timeline through some sort of 'record' button and undoing by having some sort of array...none of which I know how to implement into actionscript yet.
I'm rewinding an FLVPlayer w/AS, but the little triangle on the seekbar doesn't move back to the start. The code I'm using is: videoComponent.stop(); videoComponent.seek(0); videoComponent.playheadTime = 0;
Hi! I just figured out how to animate a button on mouse over. My question now is, how could I make a button animate after clicking it and before it goes to the link?
I have a SCENE with 4 MOVIECLIPS near the bottom of the scene that when moused over I want them to scroll/animate upwards to reveal the full view of the movieclip which has a message on it. Very similar to www.sunchips.com. Please look at this and you'll know exactly what I'm trying to do.
In the main timeline I have the 4 movieclip properties set as BUTTON with instance names on each mc. The attached code is for the first button/mc. I want the mc to scroll up when you mouse over it then scroll down when you mouse out.
Here is the AS code that is on the last frame of the SCENE where it stops the intro animation.
I get this error message when I test the movie: 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method gotoAndPlay through a reference with static type flash.display:SimpleButton.
I think the title is self explanatory... anyway, I wanna make my buttons do a cool animation (like roll away or explode) but until AFTER they're clicked,
