Sep 15, 2009Hi! I just figured out how to animate a button on mouse over. My question now is, how could I make a button animate after clicking it and before it goes to the link?

May 23, 2010I am trying to create a butterfly to fly in front of an image gallery, kinda to be funny. I am new at this, so its probably easy and I just forgot, but I need some help please.
I create the butterfly on the stage, make into a movie clip symbol. Click inside the movie clip....and then what? I want to be able to click on the butterfly that is sitting on a leaf, once it is clicked on it will fly in front of the image gallery (I have already created, and seems to work) for a few seconds and then fly back to the leaf.

Jan 28, 2010I have a small mask that I need to animate across the stage in response to clicking various buttons. It has to go a different distance each time depending on which button is clicked along the x axis. I can get at the starting and ending x co-ordinates. need to develop a set of x cordinates so that the mask starts moving fast and slows down as it gets nearer - kind of like the easing effect. I figured using some sort of simple 1/x^2 expression and have spent an hour or so fiddling in excel. Trouble is its a LONG TIME since I did maths, and I can't remember what formula to use. Have tried google with "parabola", "simple curves" etc etc

Actionscript 3 :: Hide A Button After Clicking Another Button In Flash?
May 18, 2011I am using actionscript 3 to make a point and click game. On frame 1 there are two buttons, button 1 and 2. On frame 3 there are two buttons, button A and B. I want it so that after I click button 1 on frame 1, button A on frame 3 will be hidden or when I click button 2 on frame 1, button B on frame 3 will be hidden. The buttons that are hidden do not do anything when you click them.

Mar 16, 2009I have a SCENE with 4 MOVIECLIPS near the bottom of the scene that when moused over I want them to scroll/animate upwards to reveal the full view of the movieclip which has a message on it. Very similar to www.sunchips.com. Please look at this and you'll know exactly what I'm trying to do.
In the main timeline I have the 4 movieclip properties set as BUTTON with instance names on each mc. The attached code is for the first button/mc. I want the mc to scroll up when you mouse over it then scroll down when you mouse out.
Here is the AS code that is on the last frame of the SCENE where it stops the intro animation.
I get this error message when I test the movie: 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method gotoAndPlay through a reference with static type flash.display:SimpleButton.

Dec 12, 2011ok you know when on a button it may "move up" or somthing and then you get off the button and it pops righ back into place.. how do u make it move slowly and fluently back to the position.. like if you have 4 different boxes, and you click it and the arrows move to next box, but if the first box is clicked again, it will moved up to previous box smoothly back to the first box, what code do i need for this...?

Oct 5, 2009I have made a couple of 'advanced rollovers' if you will, yet one thing is annoying me about them! When you roll over the button it looks great, yet as soon as your mouse goes off the hit area, it just suddenly shoots straight back to frame 1 of the movie clip , is there any way to animate a scene once the mouse has gone off the button, so it looks smooth when rolling over and when rolling off?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Looping A Mp3 When Clicking A Button?
Dec 15, 2010Im creating an xml based mp3 player in AS3. I have everthing working except the repeat song part. I need a code to loop the song endlessly on the click of a button, while the song is playing. Say the user is listening to a song and wants to hear it again. They can click on the loop button and replay the song until they click on the loop button again, to take the loop off. Once the loop button is clicked again, the current song ends and plays the next song in the playlist. As the playlist continues to play, I hear another song that I want to replay, so I click on the loop button. Also I need to be able to pause the song and then play it, while the loop is in affect.

I have a page full of characters for a project I'm working on now, and I want to add some interactivity to the page by making each of the characters clickable and having a description of the character pop up that you can then close. I have included 3 images of what I'd ideally like tohappen.Picture 1: The page in just a normal state, nothing happening.Picture 2: On rollover, I would like the character to pop out and enlarge.I know how to make it enlarge on rollover, but I don't understand how you would make it come to the front above other layers. with understanding how to do.
