I am trying to save some images from Flash to Php by sending a jpgstream, capturing it in php and pushing it to a file. Not sure what I am doing wrong here.
I am putting all the images I need into an array like so: (history is just where I am keeping all the image data)

But this doesn't seem to do the trick. I have been going through a bunch of different tutes and code snippets, so maybe I just ogt something confused along the way. I have done this before though and don't remember it being this difficult.
I am attempting to capture a very large image that was made dynamically within the Flash Player (the size of the image is 2400px by 12,000px) and am running into some very serious issues... Let me run down how the image get's to that size in the first place:
User adds elements to a canvas and then when the user is finished the canvas scales up to 2400px wide and ~12,000px tall. The problem arises when I attempt to save the image to the hard drive. Now, I dont know if this will affect the recommended fix, but the rendered image wont be saved on the hard drive, it will be sent to a server. I know about the ~4050px limit in Flash Player and was thinking I could get around that by clipping the images with the ImageSnapshot.captureBitmapData() method and keeping the required Rectangle variable below 4000px then repeat that down the large image until it reaches the end where the final images will be pieced together at a later time. However... As i mentioned the error comes when it reaches the 'fileReference.save(pngImage);' method..
I'm debugging a flash website that do a request to an php file named upload.php to upload some images to the server.The problem i'm having that debugging it with Firebug the request to that page is throwing a 406 Not Acceptable status code and is not saving the images.
Post Data: This website runs well on the staging server but in production server this process of the image upload fails. I only can assume that a change to apache configuration / php must be done.
I am working on my first Flash website for my photography, and along with placing watermarks on my images, I want to disable the users ability to "Right Click", and other saving options.
(By the way, I do not know if this matters but I am using "Adobe Flash CS5", on a Mac, running the most up-to-date version of "Snow Leopard". Also, I assume in-order to disable "Right Click" and other saving/downloading features I would have to enter some code; Can you either post the code, or put the website where I can get it?)
How can i save a webcam screenshot to a website?
I know you can save it to your hard drive using:

But how would i go about it to save this image to a website, lets say flickr or facebook or something.
I have this action script that i'm doing for work and it is basically an analog clock with daylight saving to be placed on our website. The clock updates its values from [URL]. It works fine for 5 minutes then it stops updating.

Ive been trying to create this code for some time now and just wondered if someone out there who may read code better than me may work out why the image doesnt end up on my server as i seem to have brain freeze on this :(

I can view it in my browser by going directly to the file however when it is embedded the photos will not load. The images it loads has to be in the same directory as the .swf file and as i stated it clearly works when going directly to the file but not once it has been embedded.

Flash won't let me drag-and-drop them or anything remotely sensible like that.Suggestions posted around t'Internet talk about putting each one on the stage and going through "file-export". Besides from being very tedious, this might not be so great - the images constitute an animation and need to be precisely aligned.Incidentally, the library does have a movieclip of 60 frames - each containing a single image.If all else fails, is there some tool which will extract these images out of the compiled swf?

When you click the save button, it will get the image from the SWF and save it to the user's hard drive (or if easier, it will download it from an URL).
View 2 RepliesHere's my problem. I currently have a Flash banner on my website that displays artwork I have made. However, it currently just shows jpegs that are embedded into the Flash file. Is there a way that I can set up a directory in my domain and just have the flash file pull these external images, at random to display? Also, it should be noted that it shouldn't pull the same image twice. That would look silly I would make the files all the correct resolution and size, so resizing is not an issue. I know you can do this sort of thing with javascript, but I want more control and a more stylish appearance.

For example, an application would allow the user to load in external images, position them on stage and label them. This data would be then be stored in a ByteArray (I guess) using BitmapData for the images and probably XML for the metadata.
I would then like to write this to a single file, with a bespoke file extension that could be associated with said Air app.

Is there a more logical way to do this? Each image is a movie clip and I basically want them like a background slideshow?
I'm trying to load random images every time the website is refreshed. I currently have some actionscript that makes my random image appear but it appears at the top left of the screen. and the movie continues to load the very first image in the layer. So I have 2 images loading and the random image is off center.

The foreground portrait is random and fades in but is in the wrong spot. All of my random images are centered in the layer. And the image in the background loads since it is the first image in the layer. but it shouldn't.

View 2 Repliesam i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything

View 3 RepliesI have made a cartoon section that needs to go into a video movie, it uses a lot of movie clips etc. It needs to be very high resolution- 1920x1080 When I just export it as an avi, none of the movie clips animate- they just slide around on the first frame of their animations.
When I export is as a .mov the file size is huge and I am not even offered the ability to compress it. It is like 8 gigs. When it was finally done the movie played in slow motion- the clip was about twice as long as it should have been.When I saved the file as an swf, and then tried to convert it to an avi using a converter, all the movie clips moved in doubletime, while the animations in the timeline were fine. How can I get my flash file to play in a standard video format.
