ActionScript 1/2 :: Textbox Shows Xml Text In Working File But Now When Loaded Into Another SWF

I have downloaded an xml gallery (as2) as we needed one for an old as2 file. Now I mostly use as3 but thought as I only needed to tweak it there would be no probs. Of course, it rarely works out that way. The problem is, text loaded from the xml file is displayed with its corresponding image. This works fine in the file.When I load the SWF into another SWF however, it all works EXCEPT the text doesn't show at all?? Whoever made the gallery used 'device fonts' in the textbox, I don't know if this has anything to do with it. I tried changing the textbox to dynamic and embedding characters but still nothing.

ok, heres my prob... I got a textbox with a external file with html... this is working fine ! the problem is, that the textbox (with a scroller) shows only the 1/2 of the whole text.. is there a max of characters to put in my .txt file ? is there something to put it longer...

Ok, so i have this problem with text dissapearing if i use one font, it shows in one textbox, but the other ones are odd, they either show 0 or 1, or the first letter only, or nothing at all. What's the problem?In the beggining i tried to ignore the problem by changing the font or the font style, but now, it's becoming to ugly if i use too many different fonts.

I have created a fla document named main.fla I have defined the document class as Main which is attached. (rename to Main.as)
The problem is preloader shows only when the file is completely loaded. How can I appear the progress preloader for the main file.

Implemeting RSL in Flex 3.2 The build comils perfectly but opening it shows Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type. URL:Whereas I have confirmed the requisite files are there in the folder. i.e. SWZ/SWF. I also noticed we assetCache does not contains framework swz.

I have a basic flash file with a button, when you hover over it, an object with dynamic text appears. Now I want text from an XML file to be pulled from it into my dynamic text box. This is what my code in my actionScript looks like so far...

I have some button code on frame one. that looks like this:

mylogin = new LoadVars();
mylogin.password = password;
mylogin.username = username;
[code]....
basically sending and recieving variables from a php page. I want to be able to specify what my textbox on frame 5 says in the onLoad statement. Is this possible?
Currently the only way I have been able to get the text to display is either to use the textbox variable and declare that in the onload statement, or to put textbox.text = mylogin.message; on the actual frame.I doubt there is a way to do it, because the actual textbox hasn't be created yet, but if there were a way, that would be nice.

Im having a tought time here with my text thats loaded from a xml file. It displays fine if its just in a movie clip thats just in one frame, but once i try to animate with the text ( like a side scrolling news header ) the text doesnt display. How am i supposed to work with the text?

I have a dynamic text field in a MC that should loop, but for some reason it plays once then vanishes. The text from the XML file does show up, and the text field is still there but blank. I have checked the basic stuff like anti alias for animation, embed, no stop(); or anything that simple. Here is the XML, all my instances are labeled correctly in the .fla

I have loaded as2 swf in as3 using Loader object. Loading is done fine, but the problem is that the as2 swf uses stuff like _root, _level1.. etc. that doesn't work in as3. So is there any way by which I can make as2 swf work properly inside as2? I have bought some readymade as2 swf and need to use them here. I dont have the as2 fla so can't make any changes in them...

I have successfully loaded XML data into a SWF file and am able to get values from the XML without much problem. The code works. For example my test productimage[1].toString(); is returning back the correct value from the XML file.My issue is when I load this SWF into another, a preloader, the code no longer works? The preloader is working fine and the rest of the SWF file is loaded in succesffully, even the XML data appears to be working when I run a trace i.e. trace(e.target.data.toString()), but for some reason the individual data values such as productimage are no longer being defined??]code]

I have a main movie that loads a child movie clip. The child movie clip is a security access movie with 2 input boxes (standard input box components). When I run the child movie on its own the input boxes work fine.When I load the child movie from the main movie input boxes do not allow me to write in the input boxes. The cursor remains blinking inside the component but does not respond to keyboard.This is the code in the main movie that loads the child:

I have a dynamic textfield on the stage which is rendered for HTML. Then I load the xml text in it, but the CDATA html tags are not working(it works on singleline, but not on multiline)
I tried setting wordWrap/html etc to true but nothing seem to work.

I'm trying to load an XML file and place the content into a dynamic text field. The XML nodes contain content within CDATA sections that have basic <b> and <i> tags. Once I have the content loaded into a variable and trace it, I can see all my tags within.
I then place the content into a dynamic text field with html set to true but for some reason it doesn't show any formatting, the tags appear to have been rendered because they don't show up inline. I thought maybe this was due to embedded fonts but i have all of my bold, bold italic, italic and regular font's within a text field embedded so I wouldn't think thats an issue. Is there something I'm overlooking?

How can I make a preloader that shows percentage/bar for a movie loaded in with LoadMovie?
I've tried using a normal preloader (the one from Kirupa) in the "to load" movie, but it doesn't work.
Is there a way to have the preloader assess how big the movie to load is, how a bar etc. and have the movie hidden until 100% is loaded (as seen on the bar)?

In Flex Mobile Project, Text Input shows blocks instead of showing arabic text. Labels are working fine with Arabic.
Is there any way to show Arabic text inside text input?

Since, it is for flex mobile project, when I input any text in arabic, it shows separate characters. Arabic is a language that doesn't have separate characters. It should combine letters to form specific word.
