I try to use a flash button to load external website to a pop up lightbox. I see a white box shows up but no content....

So, I have to make a link to an external URL on a flash website, but I want it to appear in my flash website. So like the top banner of my flash website appears on top of the external link so that way users can just click on a link on my top banner and go back to my home page of the site.

I have then used a flash button to call the javascript function, in theory this should load my lightbox, however all that happens is the flash swf disappears and no lightbox overlay or image appears. I no that fksh objects do disappear when lightbox loads, however mine doesnt load. My ActionScipt on the flash button is as so:

- I made a flash-based website using Flash CS3 and then embedded the file into a blank html page with Dreamweaver cs3.-All my buttons, linking, and content were made in Adobe Flash CS3 using ActionScript 2.0 (AS2).The issue I am encountering is that when i click on some buttons that have get URL codes, they will not load the html files assigned to the As2 code of the button. The html files are supposed to load in a separate browser window for each html page assigned to each button. View 9 RepliesI have two external swf files which I need to load to the main page of the website, one is the about page which consist mostly of text, the other is an image gallery.Both of them have the same intro animation at the beginning.
My problem is, while testing the main page using bandwidth profiler, the about page loads beautifully, while the image gallery plays its animation first before it even finalizes to load the whole page.
I am an uber n00b to flash AS3. And it is not my intention to sound like a complete moron, but honestly, I have had a hard enough time figuring out just how to load an external .swf into my main file! add a button within the external .swf which will unload itself and load a new on in its place.

I am trying to get a nav button in one movie (main_nav.swf) to target a my main movie (index.swf) and load a sub nav movie (metals_subnav_infinite.swf) into it. The sub nav movie will do a similar task - loading a portfolio swf into main movie (index.swf). I am loading swfs into a movie clip. However, the contact button is not a loaded swf any longer. It's in the main flash page. This is what I want to do. All the buttons load the external swfs except when I click on the contact button that is in the main flash page. I need to get the other buttons to load after I click the contact flash button. Below is the code for the contact button and the one under for one of the other buttons.

View 1 RepliesI have a main swf (call it Main1). Main1 calls an external swf (call it swf1). Swf1 loads on top of Main1 like it should. Swf1 has a button that calls another swf on top of Main1(call this Swf2). Well the problem is, the button on Swf1 calls Swf2 on top of itself, instead of removing Swf1 first. I cannot figure this out for s*** how to make this work. How can I unloading Swf1 from the loader, and at the same time load Swf2 into the loader from a single button residing on Swf1? My code is below.
