Mar 22, 2005I sent an email to pom regarding a tutorial that he wrote, but the email was bounced and he hasn't replied to my PM. I have followed both of pom's tutorials that involve experiments with perspective in Flash, but I have encountered a problem while attempting to duplicate a movie clip symbol in the second tutorial ([URL]). I have a single instance of the "ball" movie clip symbol appearing at random positions. However, I cannot seem to successfully duplicate the symbol instance at random positions using the loop that pom provided:

Feb 28, 2006original: I really just need to figure out how to center the pictures. here is what I did I have modified the tutorial that I finished to have a bigger stage for bigger pictures. Everything is working properly but the pictures are displayed on the left side, I want to have them centered in the stage for the images, after clicking on the thumbnails, plus my images are different sizes as well. ranging from 200x410 to 744x410 but all are the same height of 410. i will post up what I am talking about at the end. Apr 9, 2010I am making a splash screen for a program and I have a picture in my head of a spinning sphere with pictures on it.I've already made my sphere and mapped my design onto the sphere in illustrator, although it is not as clear as I wanted.How do i get the sphere into flash and animate it to spin continuously?

Jul 29, 2005I'm having a bit of a problem with this rotating object. It loops and never stops. I searched and found similar problems, but if I'm not mistaken most loops where done with tweens, unlike this one.

The final view needs to be draggable - so a user can use their mouse to turn it left or right. I took photos of the product in 10 degree increments and created a movie clip - but I can't figure out how to get it so a user can control the view: turning the product left or right.

Apr 2, 2009I'm having a hard time wading through all the different types of flash and actonscript that is posted here. I've seen some of the senior members spend extra time trying to determine which Flash product was being used and which action script. Some of us are limited to F7, F8 etc. It would be nice to be able to search for entries that apply to what we're looking for. I see two possible solutions, maybe you have others.
1. Create a new entry item for the new forum that includes Flash type and Actionscript being used. 2. Each of us can identify what products and actionscript we are using or asking about in the Topic Summary.
Question: Would it be beneficial for seperate input fields to be added to the new forum site to include Product version and the actonscript being used?I know all you rich folks use the CS products and that's all

Descriptions For Each Product To Appear In The Exact Same Place
Jun 8, 2009on my stage are 5 buttons, each with the name of a product. i want to be able to hover over each product and see a Description of the product with a "learn more" link at the bottom of the description. the problem is that i want the Descriptions for each product to appear in the exact same place.
if the hit area of each button covers only the button itself, you can't click the "learn more" link because it disappears when you move off the buttonif the hit area of each button covers the Description area, the hit areas overlap each other. this causes the Description to always show the same thing (i think it is the Description of the last button i added) if you are hovering over anything besides an actual button.

Aug 3, 2011I'm trying to put together a Product Features Application, which allows visitors to our Website to view what their product will look like with add-on products via a simple checklist, and image layering platform. So essentially:
- Visitor see's the main Product (Fireplace) on Website Page- Visitor sees three Lists containing Checkboxes below the main image- Visitor clicks one checkbox from each list, and sees that ADD-ON product added to the main image above (so that they can view what the product will look like). I'm using CS4, and I'm slightly new to Flash.

I am doing this as part of subsite for a large company and long-story short, I need to make this site self contained, without relying on any assistance from their IT department (so no MYSQL, etc.).They already have a catalog of thousands of products, but the purpose of this subsite is to highlight products to a particular market.The catalog would need to have the ability to create a hierarchy, and basic product information (name, description, image, sku number) and an interface for easy updates. No ordering.
