ActionScript 2.0 :: All Clips To Either Stop / Fade Out After 30 Seconds?

Oct 21, 2011

With this [code]...

However, I need all the clips to either stop or fade out after 30 seconds.

It seems like I've tried quite a few methods of stopping all clips, due to the instances in the loop, but sigh, nothing works.

Button Wait For Some Seconds Then Fade In

Apr 15, 2010

Is it possible in AS3, to have 0 alpha for some seconds, then have the buttons fade in... and I say buttons, as I have two of them. But wanted to finish it all of with a nice fade-in effect on my buttons. I've found some nice fade out effects with tweening in AS3, but I need fade in - and would like for me to decide when they should do this. So far I'm pretty satisfied with my first flash file, but I do like perfection!

ActionScript 2.0 :: Fade In After A Couple Of Seconds

Feb 21, 2004

I am trying to create a timer to fade in a dynamic textbox that is a dfferent size depending on the button. This is kind of complicated so if you got lost I am going to say it again a bit simplerly.I have three buttons, and when you click each a box moves to the correct size.I am trying to get a textbox that will fade in once the box has moved, proably about 3 seconds, and have the textbox a different size depending on the button.When another button is clicked, it should fade out, and then the box should move.You should understand what I'm trying to do when you look at the FLA. By the way, the textbox is going to have dynamic content from either a mysql or xml database.

ActionScript 1/2 :: Add A Wait Or Interval In Seconds For Fade In/out Effects?

Jul 16, 2011

I have the following actionscript which is working fine, but I would like to wait for some seconds each image once has reached the alpha in 100, if you see the example in the headerwhat it does is that the image fades in and when it gets to 100 starts fading out, and I want that when it gets the alpha in 100, keep it for let's say 5 seconds and then fade it out.

square._alpha = 0; whichPic = 0;
_root.onEnterFrame = function() { if (whichPic<4 && !fadeIn && !fadeOut) { fadeOut = true; whichPic++; } else if (whichPic>=4) { whichPic = 1; } if (square._alpha>10 && fadeOut) {

ActionScript 2.0 :: Display For A Few Seconds And Fade Out Using _alpha Function?

Jan 13, 2006

I have eight images in a MC that I would like to sequentially fade in, display for a few seconds and fade out using _alpha function. So far I can fade one in with this AS:

img1._alpha=0
img1.onEnterFrame = function() {
this._alpha +=10;
}

Assuming my instances are img1, img2, img3, etc, etc... how would I go about sequentially fading each instance from 0 to 100, letting it display on the stage for a few seconds and then fade out (like a slideshow)?

These are then linked through to separate movie instances that display relevant information regarding that number and then go back to the random numbers. There are options to randomly display text from an external file, but not library objects within the same movie. I have a cobbled together version using scenes and timeline animation, but it's repetitive. It needs to be more random and effective as a visual element.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Using The FUSEKit To Fade In And Out Clips From An Array?

Feb 26, 2007

I am almost there I think. I am using the FUSEKit to fade in and out clips from an array.The fade in and fade out cycle works fine for the first item in the array, however it doesn't increment like it should to fade in and out the next clip from the array. It seems to me that the second onEnterFrame isn't being called for some reason, perhaps an inheritance problem?

The code is basically just using an onClipEvent to see if the current clip has hit either 0 or 100 alpha and then playing the next fade in or out function after that point. Any clue why it doesn't increment? It should finish the cycle, move to the next array item, and then when they are all done go back to the first item, infinitely.

The pictures are loaded from an xml file, which also contains captions for the pictures. What I would like to do is to have the caption fade in and slightly move to the left with each picture change. E.g. picture 1 is displayed, caption 1 fades in, moves to the left and stays there; picture 2 is displayed, caption 2 fades in, moves to the left and stays there, and so on.

Stop(); Not Working - Main Menu Automatically Switches To The Next Page After About Six Seconds

May 3, 2009

I have a home page and five other pages. The five pages have a main menu at the top containing buttons that allow you to go to the other pages:

on(release){
gotoAndPlay("gallery");
}

I have an actions layer. Each section has the following action in the first frame: stop(); When I view the website the home page works correctly. However, any page with the main menu automatically switches to the next page after about six seconds. The code seems pretty straightforward so I have no idea what I'm missing.

ActionScript 1/2 :: Making A Movie Stop/fade Out At A Certain Frame

Sep 24, 2010

I'm using the code and assets from this page. [URL] I'm creating ads for websites and they don't allow continual  animation after 3 loops. I added to the above code to make it fade at the end. I think I'm close, but it doesn't seem to fade away as I had hoped, it just keeps  falling.

Am I missing some code that I need to replace? Do I need to put a frame # somewhere when I  want it to fade? Does the last part of the code go on a frame at the  end? The snow just keeps falling even though it's reached the last frame. What do I add to make it stop?

Here is the code. The link above will show you exactly the type of animation I'm looking at. I added the fade part after "init ( );"

init = function () {
width = 300;
// pixels
height = 250;

ActionScript 2.0 :: Making A Movie Stop/fade Out At A Certain Frame

Sep 24, 2010

(remove the spaces to correctly link, my post count is too low to include links)
kirupa. com/ developer/flash8/snow. htm

I'm creating ads for websites though and they don't allow continual animation after 1 to 3 loops. What I'm hoping to do is one of the following:

Rather than have an abrupt stop to the snow on the last frame and have them oddly disappear, I'd like to have it stop creating snow on (for example) frame 100 so it's all gone by the last frame (for example) 130.

Here is the code.

init = function () {
width = 300;
// pixels

[Code]....

On a side note, I have the AS code on frame 1 currently, and just to test it out I added a stop(); to the last frame, but the snow kept falling. Do I have to add code to this snow code to get it to stop at a certain frame?
