Nov 11, 2011i am trying to create a simple panorama viewer. the direction is governed by two mouse over areas one on each side of the stage (both will be invisible), at present the left side animates the background panorama right by 10 and the right side animates the panorama left by -10.
This essentially means it multiplies its speed if i mouse over the same edge twice, this is a problem i wish to fix, i also notice that if i go from one edge of the screen to the other it animates and stops, if we look at this from a maths point of view.
-10 moves left ( if mouse moves too right mouse over edge) +10 this = 0 value or in other words stops animation, then i have to mouse over again to +10 to make value 10 eg move right. this mouse over twice thing is not what i want.
To fix both issues, i think it would be best to place a mouse over area between both left and right that zeros out the value. so the middle will always stop the animation. though id not know how to zero out the value.

Mar 27, 2004There are panorama viewers available in flash that basically just scroll a flat image from side to side like this: [URL]. I was wondering about the possibilities of a flash viewer that would also warp an image so that you could view a 360 image and then be able to look straight up and down also since the image is mapped to the inside of sphere. Here is an example in a java viewer that warps the image: [URL]. I can create a shockwave 3d pano using director but I would like to have a flash viewer. It must be hard or impossible since I have not seen one available yet in flash.

I'm trying to make it so that if I click on one button (Movie Clip) it will make it look different, and then if I click on a DIFferent button (Movie Clip) it will make the old one normal, and the new one look like it is selected.

Mar 31, 2011In TFS 2010 build, I have a new build and I want to call an ant script that builds Flash. How do I call the ant script? Also How can I compile the Flash directly? I've seen the Power Tools and this question but it doesn't help me as we don't have TFS 2008. I can't find any documentation on how to use the power tools except the 1 sentence on the bottom of download page saying to create your build the old way and import it (which isn't very helpful). I've installed the power tools on the agent computer but I don't see any new options in the Toolbox when I'm designing the build flow.

Apr 14, 2011I just started working with ant a few days ago. Right now I have a general buildall.xml which should call each project's build.xml. Because some projects depend on each other, I need to rebuild some other projects which depend on it. This isn't a problem--I'm just setting the depends property of the target. However, ant is always building the dependencies, even when the files haven't changed.Let's say project1 has no dependencies; project2 depends on project1; project3 depends on project1, 2; project4 depends on project1, 2, and 3; and so on.I could hack a solution which looks at project K, and checks if project 1 .. project K have updated files using uptodate. If so, then run the target. This is messy and appears unnecessary.
What is the cleanest way to implement this?EDIT: So I decided to just hack in a bunch of targets, "check_projectK" where it does the uptodate checks on all of its source files, its build file, and the build files of the 1 .. K-1 projects. Due to dependencies, this is always handled correctly. However, this is still a large amount of copy and paste for a large workspace.

Buttons Moving On Top Of Panorama?
Nov 26, 2011I have a panorama which I've coded to move back and forth horizontally when I press the arrow keys. I'm trying to get some buttons to sit at designated points across the panorama.I'm having trouble getting them to stick at the right places, though, instead of roaming around. Right now, I'm focusing on Norris_btn (although Annenberg_btn doesn't work right now either), which starts out in the right position (all the way at the far left of the panorama, which is 10061 px wide). However, if I scroll all the way to the right and then try and go back to the left, Norris_btn appears in the wrong place. Here is my code:

Jul 30, 2011Using FDT, when I have a debug configuration with several operations in the launcher chain and the final launcher opens in Flash Player, how can I retrieve the build output from the console once the build is complete and Flash player is running?
It seems that once Flash Player has started the console clears to make way for the application's trace output, but I need to be able to look back over the events and build times for each item in my launch chain while Flash Player is running. Is there a setting I can enable to either log my build output to a file or to preserve it in the console?
Edit: I know I can still read the info when building normally, this question is specifically for building with the debugger.

Nov 10, 2010I have created a "scrolling image" made by adding extreem limets to a basic panorama file.The idea is that when the user moves the mose to the left or the right, the image then scrolls that way.Everything works as it is supposed to when previewed in flashplayer and projector. However when i try to add the swf to a HTML or genarate the HTML straight from flash the scrolling function does not work. the buttons and other items work but the scrolling does not. i have tried multiple browsers with the same result.here is a copy of the code (nav1 is the instance name of the movieclip i am scrolling):

Jan 30, 2009When ROLL_OVER the first image (typ: button) "map", the "panorama" image Tween (typ: movieClip) appears and starts to move on x --> that works. Now the PROBLEM is, that when ROLL_OUT on "panorama" the Tween to Fade Out (twOut) doesn't Fade Out and take the panorama MovieClip away. It should be a nice little Fade (EaseOut) Effect, not like removeChild(panorama). I can't track the position of the "panorama.x" whilest it is moving.

Oct 16, 2009Iv been having some real trouble lately attempting to create an object panorama, emphasis on the object version, iv found plenty of tutorials on how to do regular panoramas (ie, from one spot looking outwards, i want to make one of something looking inwards orbiting it) iv used flash quite loosely before in the past and have come to the conclusion from various articles on the internet it is capable and probably the best way to make a small file size.
basically what i wanted was to have it so that when u click and drag side to side it would show around the object, im not too worried about how fast around it goes or if it accelerates the further away from the centre its dragged, just the main control im looking for. at the moment i have 180 odd pictures of my model im looking to orbit, or less or more depending on what people think is better (its a 3d render i made so i can choose how many pictures it has) or iv already got it stitched together into a video.
the ideas id already had were that it would load each picture into an empty movie clip based on the frame number, ie it would load model001.jpg on frame 1, model020.jpg on frame 20 etc etc, but that didnt work as i suspected and it seems to flicker which i probably should expect as it has to load each picture each time. my other idea was that if its possible to make a movie scrubber, and load the video of the orbiting object in, then just use a scrubber to control moving it around but i couldnt find anything (that wasnt to buy) on how to do that.
Professional :: Simple Sound Player - Visitor To Hear The Sound And Be Able To Apply Simple Controls?
Aug 1, 2011Flash is not in my toolset, but I am an old Director jock and have spent some hours dipping my head into the Flash manual. I suppose that makes me a promising beginner-level poster. I'm working in CS5.
I need to make a simple Flash-based sound player for a website for a newly-released novel (http://www.bearriverbooks.com/index.html). I want the user to click on what appears to be an icon (or image), which kicks open a simple controller and starts playing a sound file (a radio interview, which I will probably export using Flash's voice compression). Nothing fancy. Just want the visitor to hear the sound and be able to apply simple controls (stop/start/rewind/volume).
I can learn ActionScript, I suppose, since I used to dream in Lingo, but my life would be a lot simpler if I could just publish a controller without having to roll my own. I'd like to think there's a magic button somewhere that can do this, but I haven't found it yet.
