I have trouble with my animatnion. I have panorama 360 and xml with photos. I want to connect panorama where are buttons which show after click the photos from xml, but I have some troubles with code... When i try to compile my flash I have some errors in output;/

The image should stop spinning when it reaches its boundiries in left or right.

I have a panorama which I've coded to move back and forth horizontally when I press the arrow keys. I'm trying to get some buttons to sit at designated points across the panorama.I'm having trouble getting them to stick at the right places, though, instead of roaming around. Right now, I'm focusing on Norris_btn (although Annenberg_btn doesn't work right now either), which starts out in the right position (all the way at the far left of the panorama, which is 10061 px wide). However, if I scroll all the way to the right and then try and go back to the left, Norris_btn appears in the wrong place. Here is my code:

View 2 RepliesI have created a "scrolling image" made by adding extreem limets to a basic panorama file.The idea is that when the user moves the mose to the left or the right, the image then scrolls that way.Everything works as it is supposed to when previewed in flashplayer and projector. However when i try to add the swf to a HTML or genarate the HTML straight from flash the scrolling function does not work. the buttons and other items work but the scrolling does not. i have tried multiple browsers with the same result.here is a copy of the code (nav1 is the instance name of the movieclip i am scrolling):

View 3 Repliesi am trying to create a simple panorama viewer. the direction is governed by two mouse over areas one on each side of the stage (both will be invisible), at present the left side animates the background panorama right by 10 and the right side animates the panorama left by -10.
This essentially means it multiplies its speed if i mouse over the same edge twice, this is a problem i wish to fix, i also notice that if i go from one edge of the screen to the other it animates and stops, if we look at this from a maths point of view.
-10 moves left ( if mouse moves too right mouse over edge) +10 this = 0 value or in other words stops animation, then i have to mouse over again to +10 to make value 10 eg move right. this mouse over twice thing is not what i want.
To fix both issues, i think it would be best to place a mouse over area between both left and right that zeros out the value. so the middle will always stop the animation. though id not know how to zero out the value.

View 1 RepliesWhen ROLL_OVER the first image (typ: button) "map", the "panorama" image Tween (typ: movieClip) appears and starts to move on x --> that works. Now the PROBLEM is, that when ROLL_OUT on "panorama" the Tween to Fade Out (twOut) doesn't Fade Out and take the panorama MovieClip away. It should be a nice little Fade (EaseOut) Effect, not like removeChild(panorama). I can't track the position of the "panorama.x" whilest it is moving.

I've been looking for an actionscript's source code or file for making 180 degree looping panorama website which the screen can be moved from left to right and vice versa when moused-over on the left or right of the screen. There are 3 levels of objects; foreground, middleground, and background, set on the screen moved at differnet speed. Whenever I import my .swf to stage, it gives me a little circle, and that's all. The movie clip appears to be empty.. When I test the movie nothing appears. I have looked at the following website for information: [URL] I but I cant make head nor tails of it.
There are panorama viewers available in flash that basically just scroll a flat image from side to side like this: [URL]. I was wondering about the possibilities of a flash viewer that would also warp an image so that you could view a 360 image and then be able to look straight up and down also since the image is mapped to the inside of sphere. Here is an example in a java viewer that warps the image: [URL]. I can create a shockwave 3d pano using director but I would like to have a flash viewer. It must be hard or impossible since I have not seen one available yet in flash.

View 2 RepliesIv been having some real trouble lately attempting to create an object panorama, emphasis on the object version, iv found plenty of tutorials on how to do regular panoramas (ie, from one spot looking outwards, i want to make one of something looking inwards orbiting it) iv used flash quite loosely before in the past and have come to the conclusion from various articles on the internet it is capable and probably the best way to make a small file size.
basically what i wanted was to have it so that when u click and drag side to side it would show around the object, im not too worried about how fast around it goes or if it accelerates the further away from the centre its dragged, just the main control im looking for. at the moment i have 180 odd pictures of my model im looking to orbit, or less or more depending on what people think is better (its a 3d render i made so i can choose how many pictures it has) or iv already got it stitched together into a video.
the ideas id already had were that it would load each picture into an empty movie clip based on the frame number, ie it would load model001.jpg on frame 1, model020.jpg on frame 20 etc etc, but that didnt work as i suspected and it seems to flicker which i probably should expect as it has to load each picture each time. my other idea was that if its possible to make a movie scrubber, and load the video of the orbiting object in, then just use a scrubber to control moving it around but i couldnt find anything (that wasnt to buy) on how to do that.
I'm searching for free partial panorama viewer. It should be placed in somewhere in the page and it should be customizable (openSource?). So far i found pan0.net but it only supports 360 and i have priority for non 360...
View 2 RepliesI am working on a flash photogallery. It is pretty basic, just consists of thumbnails. The larger images are on another page all together. I didn't write this script myself, I'm still learning. So i grabbed a flashmo file. It is flashmo_067.Anyways, i changed some things around. I made the images scroll with the mouse and i took out alot of the extra stuff in the gallery. I also changed the document size and the thumbnail size.I created thumbnails to the exact size i made the holder in the flash file. Yet when i pull up the movie, the images are doubled in size and are overlapping. I have looked at the actionscript a bunch of times and still cant figure it out. I changed the size of the thumbnail to be smaller but it just blows it up and makes it very pixelated. I cant seem to figure it out.

View 22 RepliesI've been modifying some code I wrote a while ago that simply loads and plays an external FLV. The original code works well as I can simply copy the swf into any folder and when run, it will play the FLV with the given name in that particular folder.
I decided to have a photo still over of the movie before it plays, so I modified the script and 'loader' to put in the external Jpg. If I test the swf it works fine. But when I install the code from a sub folder into a webpage via 'object', the Flash file trues to find the photo in the webpage folder not the sub folder where the swf originates and where both the FLV and jpg are?? Both the FLVplayback and Jpg loader address in the same way in 'parameters' of properties, yet the FLV plays and the jpg won't. I only discovered what exactly was happening on a hunch and copied a different photo into the main web page folder with the same name.
I have also rewritten it a completely different way using movieloader, but got exactly the same results. I know I could put the full web address of the jpg into the parameters, but then I have to modify it every time I use it. I'd really like to be to simply copy it into another folder.
I want to create a swf of 5 photos that fade into each other. For example, black background, first photo fades up from alpha 0 to alpha 100 in one second, stays on screen for 4 seconds, then fades back to alpha 0 while the next photo fades up, etc, then the 5th photo fades back into the 1st photo and it loops.
What's the best, easiest way to accomplish this with cs4?
Also, if the jpgs are 980 x650 pixels and approx. 70 kb apiece, will I need a preloader if I'm going to use the swf as a header to my site? If so, is there a simple, plug n play preloader I can use?

View 4 RepliesI'm building my first website in Flash, and it's a porfolio website. I'm trying to set up my portfolio page to show screenshots of my graphic design projects, and when a user clicks on them, it enlarges the photo.
I am looking for it to be done like this website below when you click on their photo samples, it enlarges it, where you can also go to the next photo.
I have about 27 photos. They are all 250x188. I would like the work space to be 250x564 so that 3 photos display first and they keep scrolling from the bottom to the top continuously through all the photos and repeat. Could someone recommend the best way to do this in Flash CS4. I am totally new to this.

As i'm out of practice, linking videos kind of skipped my mind and therefore my first file which has lots of images in has become quite heavy and slow to run.My problem is... Is there a quick and easy way i can directly switch one part of an animation with another, keeping all the tweens and actions that are on it? (EG I want to switch out images for the same images saved as smaller files)
Or, is there a way i can scale down the movie in size to make it run smoother? I am going to have quite a lot of photos in a series of linked videos, but as i forgot about it, my first video has too much content and is too big in file size. It can be quite big as it's only for use on my mac (not online) but i still need it smaller as it won't run smoothly.
have to build an app that shows a bunch of photos (listed in an XML file) based upon certain criteria in the XML data. First view will show ALL the photos, and then the user will whittle down the choices/photos based upon criteria they select via check boxes.
how to pull the XML data into the application. I'll have to build a listener for the check box component(s), which shouldn't be difficult. The onClick event would then have to search through the XML/array and show only the user-selected data. It would be good also if the pictures were actually pulled from the server's hard drive rather than having them stored in the Flash file. That would allow the site's owner to easily add images by simply copying them to the server and adding data to the XML. Is that do-able, and if so, can anyone put me on the right path (theorhetically) to developing it?
I have at this pre-planning stage is this: ALL the pix are certainly not going to fit on the stage at one time. I am going to have to have a finite number of pix, say six, visible on the stage, and then allow the user to filter through the as-yet-unseen images by clicking on a number (Page 2 of 7), or something along those lines.
