ActionScript 2.0 :: Confining A Rotation To A Specific Range?

I have a 'plus' and 'minus' button that rotates a dial (.hand). The code below belongs to the minus button.
I trace the position and I want the dial to not go past a position of 40, how can I set this up? The dial can still move in the positive direction, however.
Also, when the dial reaches a certain positive position, I want the entire movie to jump to another frame, (to an area with a different dial), and the dial reset itself to its origianl (symbol) position.

Is it possible with the Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 to only allow a specific IP range to the archived video stored on the server. However allow the live feed full access to the server, so basically in the end have the archived video locked down to a specific allowed IP range and the live feed available to the public? What would the Interactive server have as far as advantages to the Flash Media Streaming Server in this regards?
I'm trying to make it so that and object rotates to the mouse, but only within a specific range. In the class file for Object1, I want it to be able to rotate a maximum of 45 degrees in either direction from the rotation of Object2. So far this is all I could come up with:

The possible rotations of Object2 are 0, 45, 90, 135, 180, -135, -90, and -45. The code seems to work fine if the rotations are between -90 and 90 (the right half), but because the left half goes from -179 to 180 to 179, it obviously fails. How would I accomplish the effect I want?
Im trying to make a cursor display when rolling over a movieclip only between a specific range of frames. with this code the cursor shows up in the range of frames but doesnt follow the mouse, and the mouse pointe ris visible

I was wondering if there's a way to rotate a movie clip around a specific x & y value? I've been looking through tutorials but they all seem to use maths to control the positioning, but I think it's probably unnecessarily complicated for what I want to do. I have a number of shapes which I want to rotate around a single point.

I have a movieclip and when I do 3D rotation from Transform panel, It rotates perfect, center is in the middle of image, and when I apply mc.rotationY, rotation center is in left of the image, aren't 3D rotation from Transform panel and mc.rotationY from AS same? what's up?

I can now put simple 3d objects on my marker and it works fine , but I wanna give my project some events that the user can interact with. I'm trying to trace the rotation of the marker. there's a container:DisplayObject3D which my application uses to add the 3d objects , I traced this :"trace(container.rotationZ)" but it's just returning 0 . Is it possible to have the child movieclip rotate separate of the rotation properties assigned to the parent? so ultimately giving the child element it's own axis?I've customized Lee Brimelows (gotoandlearn.com) 3D carousel to spin on the x axis to make it a vertical carousel. I've also rotated that by 45 degrees on the y axis to see all the items, and wrote a snippet of code to hide the left portion of the carousel. The entire carousel is contained within the 'container' movieclip, and inside of that are my carousel items (as seen below), with the larger item being the item in focus.
On rollover of the item in focus, I want to rotate it so it faces the viewer (as seen below),basically removing the 45 degree rotation applied to the container.The problem i'm running into is when you rotate the container (changing the rotationX of the container), the axis basically rotates with it, so when i rollover the next item 'in focus', the following happens..(in the example where it appears how it want it to, the carousel is at a rotationX of 0, so it works fine)
Program A has a cannon that aims to line up with where-ever the mouse is pointing, in 360 degrees, and fires when the mouse is is clicked. Program B has an eye instead of a cannon that should in theory do similar functions when the capslock key is toggled, but instead only has a 90 degree range of motion from the Right of the eye toward the bottom (quadrant 4 only). Where did the ther 270 degrees of rotation disappear to?

I am watching the tutorial on the motion editor and when he opens the motion editor to edit the Rotation X and Rotation Y values I'm in trouble.My motion editor now only shows Rotation Z but, no Rotation X or Rotation Y. What am I doing wrong?
I am trying to do a simple "pseudo 3D" rotation of a movie clip. The clip would "flip" on to the screen. I have created the effect using PaperVision3D, however, the final SWF is about 64k and my project requires a smaller file size. I tried to create the flip effect manually by creating skewed versions of the clip and tweening between them, except this doesn't work because the shape is not tweaked along the vanishing point as it should be. It looks like perhaps I could accomplish what I want to do using the MatrixTransformer but I've not had much luck so far.
What I want is a hint how to make a specific thing happen while clicking a specific button. Like "if I click button 1, do this". Would like to use this script though I'm gonna add buttons over time and this is an easy way to have the functionality working.

i need to change the colour of a graphic in a specific movie in a specific frame. if i have a movie clip instance-named "sidetext" thats 15 frames long, and i want a graphic in the movie, called "letterp" to change to one of four colours that i want it to randomly at frame 10 and stay that colour uintil frame 15, how can i do this?
how do i export specific frames not all frame. ex: if flash has 1 to 200 frames. here i want to export 51 to 150 frames as a movie. if there is any command or plugin to export movie like this.

Basically once my animation loads I want to pull in an external SWF at a specific frame, basically like the "home page" swf that will display first.
