ActionScript 2.0 :: Create A Flash Site Search Swf?

I'm trying to create a search box in a flash website. The search box will display contain a search text entry field and a search button. When information is entered into the field and the Search button is clicked, a movie clip containing a Datagrid will display resulting the Page name (clickable) and a few lines of text in the page.
I'm building this against a WP database using Flash8 / PHP / MySQL.
I'm experienced at developing Flash / PHP / MySQL websites (not using XML) that display MySQL results so I'm not a newby in this area, however, I'm new to having Flash input information and retreive results in a DataGrid
I already have a PHP script displaying the results from a search that works and now I need to complete the Flash frontend

I'm trying to create a search function or find one on the web to purchase for a flash based website, and I've been trying to find some different tutorials on how to do this. I found a search program from CoffeeCup Flash Website Search that looked promising, however the big problem that I've been running into is that the website does not have an http:// address because it is running on an internal company network so it's file extension is like this:\File01MyDepartmentIndex.html so the CoffeeCup Flash Website Search can't do a search for all text found on my site. I'd like to have someone be able to search my site for text found on any of the different pages (All created with seperate swfs) and there are datagrids on most of them with xml data being loaded into them

Is there a way to increase traffic for flash web site. Is there an action script to make your flash website "visible" for others. I heard that if I build a flash web site it will be difficult to get customers due to the fact that flash pages usually don't show up in the data bases. Is it right?
so anyhow is there a way to increase traffic or make my flash site "visible' in search engines. do you think building a splash page in html and then redirect them to flash is a good idea?

Within this project are various amounts of information on diffferent frames. How can i create a search box on my maing frame that when inputted into it will search my project for the text entered?

I am trying to create a search bar within flash which will generate links to frames within my flash project based off of given text. I have found a flash project online which does almost exactly what I need, but it only allows for searching a single word rarther than a full term or sentence. It also gives no error message when no word match is found. I am not very good at actionscript or I would be able to midify myself.

create a search field using Flash 5. I am currently using the search robot, just like the kirupa website. On registering your website, they give you a HTML code, which you put inside the variables of the search field. So when the user types in what he's searching for, he clicks "go" and then the next page is "Powered by and then the results of the search.Now I wanna know how I can simulate this in Flash 5, with the search results displayed in a normal HTML file, once the "go" button is clicked.I am creating an input text field and then a button saying "go". How do I set the variables in the search field to look up the search robot?

I want to be able to do site specific searches for a online group on Black Planet but they have so many restrictions on coding my only option is to use Flash. I tried some of the search box stuff on this site but they all seem to just do a web search, not site specific searches. I would like to have something that would search the group threads only. I'm trying to create a sort of search relevancy within flash and actionscript 3. The goal is to have a person's search return results that match the most user input search terms. For example, if a person searches for "apple pie", I don't want pictures of just apples, and just pies to show up first. I have, what I believe is a good system so far. I basically go through each item in an XMLList (consider it to be all the items that will be searched), and see how many of the terms return true. I add this number to a variable I called "relevance", and then push it to an array.
So now I have my XMLList and matching relevancy array. My big question: Is there a way to sort my relevancy array numerically, and have the XMLList(or a temporary copy of it) sort to match the relevancy array? In other words, when my relevance array sorts itself, I want the xml list to copy the resorting.

I have made four complete flash sites and I m about to create the fifth one, but every time I start creating a new one I get into a debate myself on what would be the better way to create the site with all its different sections (home, contact, about, etc... ). Should I create all sections in one .swf file or shoud I create .swf files for each section and load them as needed?

I want to create a dynamic fullscreen flash site, similar to [URL]. So far, I made the intro, which contains an image animation with text, and this should always be fullscreen, no matter which resolution the user has. My problem now is, that my flash does not resize really nicely, and not correctly as well. AND, the only element which should be scaled (proportional) is the background image. I did the tutorial for "create a full flash site" under flash mx advance. I did everything right and it worked. Ok here is what i want to somebody to help me out.
The action: on (release) {
_root.contents.loadMovie("locations.swf");
}
because when i extracted the zip file it had only the different swf. files and the main file where they were going to be loaded. What i am saying is do all the swf. files have to have some connection to the main movie where i am loading the swf. files in order for it to work or it doesn't matter. so what am trying to say is i could have any swf. file and use that action to my main movie even if has nothing in come and it will play it.

I need to create a login page in my flash site that relates to information input to a mysql database. after the submit their information we want to send them a link to a differnt flash page with a login screen they will use their first name and a password (already in our database) to gain access to this "new" page. on that page there will be a welcome message that says "Welcome, User First Name" so I guess i have two questions

I have a client that is wanting me to create a flash website in which they can add products pages (product info, images, etc.) themselves after the website is completed. I will setup up the first few products then they will do the rest. Would I wanted to go with dynamic text and empty movie clips loading the images? If so how could I have this create a duplicate page that refers to the new text and image?
