ActionScript 3.0 :: How To Create Dynamic Fullscreen Flash Site
Jan 18, 2010
I want to create a dynamic fullscreen flash site, similar to [URL]. So far, I made the intro, which contains an image animation with text, and this should always be fullscreen, no matter which resolution the user has. My problem now is, that my flash does not resize really nicely, and not correctly as well. AND, the only element which should be scaled (proportional) is the background image. Logo and text should just be repositioned, depending on screen resolution. Here is the current example: [URL]
I have a client that is wanting me to create a flash website in which they can add products pages (product info, images, etc.) themselves after the website is completed. I will setup up the first few products then they will do the rest. Would I wanted to go with dynamic text and empty movie clips loading the images? If so how could I have this create a duplicate page that refers to the new text and image?
I made a website in flash with a fullscreen button. Now when i click on the fullscreen button the function fullscreen works but the webpage has the same size like in normal mode. How can I realize it to resize the webpage automatically in fullscreen ? Is there any code-snippet for this function ?
I am really tired of searching a solution to make my site to a fullscreen flash site..What i want to make is a site that fills the screen without extra spaces and all..The funny thing is it is working fine in swf but not in html..When viewed in html there is a big white space to the right..I have tried several solutions for this line making the html "width and height to 100 %" and scale mode to " noscale" It didnt work I tried changing the html code itself like this:-
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html> <head>[code].....
I am doing a flash site with a embedded simple video player(from gotoandlearn.com) in it.[url]..- goto "VIDEO" section.
My question is how I can do fullscreen with only video(like in youtube), not entire site when users click on fullscreen button from video player? [code]...
i create site with flash 1240X800 with fullscreen option.when you click in my swf on fullscreen button it work! but i want to set onload fullscreen when i open my site , the swf work on fullscreen
I have to create a flash site .Requirment is like [url].........and i m having problem in understanding how this flash will b created. how i can create this..what action scripts will b in this movie..?what will b the method..?
I just posted about an hour ago and I realized that there's a better way to explain what i'm trying to do. Basically, i'm wondering if there's a way to create a blog in a flash site.
my new project is to create a flash site for an resturant. the have an html site, that they don't want to chage. I am aloud to create a new home page that allows the user to choose between the two, or create a new html . I have complete control over design. and I'm looking for some ideas. seeing the html is of common design.[URL]..
I'm trying to create a search box in a flash website. The search box will display contain a search text entry field and a search button. When information is entered into the field and the Search button is clicked, a movie clip containing a Datagrid will display resulting the Page name (clickable) and a few lines of text in the page.
I'm building this against a WP database using Flash8 / PHP / MySQL.
I'm experienced at developing Flash / PHP / MySQL websites (not using XML) that display MySQL results so I'm not a newby in this area, however, I'm new to having Flash input information and retreive results in a DataGrid
I already have a PHP script displaying the results from a search that works and now I need to complete the Flash frontend
I have made four complete flash sites and I m about to create the fifth one, but every time I start creating a new one I get into a debate myself on what would be the better way to create the site with all its different sections (home, contact, about, etc... ). Should I create all sections in one .swf file or shoud I create .swf files for each section and load them as needed?
I did the tutorial for "create a full flash site" under flash mx advance. I did everything right and it worked. Ok here is what i want to somebody to help me out.
The action: on (release) { _root.contents.loadMovie("locations.swf"); }
because when i extracted the zip file it had only the different swf. files and the main file where they were going to be loaded. What i am saying is do all the swf. files have to have some connection to the main movie where i am loading the swf. files in order for it to work or it doesn't matter. so what am trying to say is i could have any swf. file and use that action to my main movie even if has nothing in come and it will play it.
What are the best practices for providing dynamic content within a flash site? I am trying to get my head around the idea and I am not sure how to think about this. Are there sites that use a graphic frontend for updating flash content? If so, what is the common way of doing this? XML? PHP+XML+SQL? etc. I am relatively new to all of this but I have been messing with Flash and XML. I can update stuff on my site by just modifying the XML but I want to go a step further now and create a frontend on the web where people could do this.
I'm trying to implement a dynamic flash site and would like to have multilevel deeplinking. how to use swfaddress with more than 3 levels of deeplink but found nothing.
i'm making my own portfolio full dynamic flash site. And animation and interface is ok. But i don't know about connecting to database. And i read about PHP+AS. And i couldn't get a good point.
I used to make fullscreen Flash websites, using 100x100 width/height and "No Scale" on Publish Settings.Everything is ok on a browser, since I can position elements using relative coordinates for liquid layouts. Now I have to make a fullscreen standalone .exe projector. To get fullscreen I use fscommand("fullscreen", "true") on the first frame and it works.
The problem is:If I create a 1024x768 Flash movie, even with 100x100 and "No Scale" activated, the movie remains at 1024x768.So, if I trace stage.stageWidth and stage.stageHeight, those remain respectively at "1024" and "768", but I need for the movie to get the max width and max height available on the system.
In the browser it happens automatically, but in the Flash projector it doesn't. how can I get the movie to match the exact size of the screen where it runs?I've tried with Capabilities.screenResolutionX and Y but there is no way (and I think it's normal) to set the stage.width and stage.height properties on runtime.
I need to create a login page in my flash site that relates to information input to a mysql database. after the submit their information we want to send them a link to a differnt flash page with a login screen they will use their first name and a password (already in our database) to gain access to this "new" page. on that page there will be a welcome message that says "Welcome, User First Name" so I guess i have two questions
1: how do i set up a login page?
2: how do i pull that login info to a welcome page?
I have a swf inside a html page. If I open it with IE or FF and put it into full screen I can exit full screen with the ESC button. Now if i try this with my WinForms app and WebBrowser (or ShockWave Flash Object) it's not working??
I can't understand why if I push de button to go full screen and then I press the button to create the "ombra" sprite, it doesent work, it doesnt create the sprite, but If I press esc to go out the full screen, it magically apper.
If I press the createOmbra button before going full screen everithing works fine.
how to create a fullscreen mask transition like the example of - www(dot)hellohikimori(dot)com/#/home - If you hover over the "works" menu link then choose a project, you can see the transition effect
My maths isn't too sharp either, and I can't work out the boundaries for the conditional rules. That's why I can't make the scroll action stop when the MC has gone too far upwards.
- From my XML file an array is created with several background images
- The first image gets randomly loaded into a BitmapData and is attached to the first movieclip for smoothing. After that the movieclip gets proportionally scaled to fit the Stage.
- After an interval (set in the XML) the second image gets randomly loaded into a BitmapData and is attached to the second movieclip with a nice fade-in effect. After that the movieclip gets proportionally scaled to fit the Stage and the movieclips swap their depths.
- The third image gets loaded into a BitmapData and is attached to the first movieclip again. etc etc etc.
For a project I'm working on I'm trying to create a Flash file with a constantly color-shifting gradient that fills up the entire browser window. For a better explanation please see the following link:
View the Example
Don't worry about the moving balls, those are just there to challenge the frameRate of the movie, which has a maximum of 60. If you look at the background you can see the gradient effect I'm referring to.
The method I'm currently using to create the gradient animation is a simple shape tween on the Flash timeline that tweens between shapes with different gradient colors. I'm definitely not achieving the performance I want using this technique.
I've also tried creating a static gradient and shifting its color over time using ColorTransform, but this doesn't offer any better performance.
So that's a long-winded way of asking what people think would be a better way to create such a color-shifting gradient while getting better performance? Some examples might be through bitmapData or using PixelBender, but I'm not versed enough in these techniques to know which would get me the best performance.
