I would like to create a button that makes my flash fullscreen.But this line:
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
does not work. Why?(I'm opening my swf directly in Chrome.)

I like to make a fullscreen desktop application, with an FLV, using the FLV Playback component. However, I�d like there to be a Fullscreen button on the playback component, which will allow the user to toggle the video fullscreen.I cant, for the life of me, figure out how to do this with various settings�it should be easy! This is what I have--is there a better way to do things (without a custom movie player)? My inital settings are as follows:

1) Is there any way to create windowless non-fullscreen projector with Flash CS3?
2) Or even better "masked" projector applications (where the window will be able to take any shape depending on a mask, and not only rectanlge shape)?
3) Or at least any way to change the title of the projector's window? ...
Or we are "doomed" with every non-fullscreen projector application to suffer from the "Adobe Flash Player 9" window title?.... :/...
I want to create a dynamic fullscreen flash site, similar to [URL]. So far, I made the intro, which contains an image animation with text, and this should always be fullscreen, no matter which resolution the user has. My problem now is, that my flash does not resize really nicely, and not correctly as well. AND, the only element which should be scaled (proportional) is the background image. Logo and text should just be repositioned, depending on screen resolution. Here is the current example: [URL]

View 5 RepliesI'm making a flash site, and i want it to load full browser with a "fullscreen"-button to go fullscreen. The problem, however, if i resize, the site will keep the same width-to-height ratio...But if i'm testing it using the flash debugger, everything resizes just correct...My html:

when the video reaches 1 minute, a button appears. is there a way to hide the button again if the user uses the seek bar to go back to the 30 second (or any time before 1 minute) point?
View 2 RepliesI have a Flash movie to be displayed in fullscreen on a kiosk. Also, It needs to run in a browser window because I'm using JavaScript to reload the page for resetting the movie.
The problem is, it doesn't go fullscreen when I put the following line to the constructor:
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
But it works fine if I put the line to a button's click handler.
Note: It doesn't work if just call the handler function with a null parameter.
How can I make it fullscreen as soon as it opens?
If I add the button component to my movieclip it makes it bigger, as if there's some sort of invisible padding or margin around it. Making a new fla, dragging the button component, and setting the below code as the document class produces a trace of w: 320, h:250 when run.Removing the mc.addChild(btn) line gives me a trace of w: 320 h: 240.The button isn't even close to the edge of the movieclip, so why is it expanding the movieclip's height by 10 pixels? I've been reading the documentation for the last few hours, but I can't find some hidden margin style or anything of the like I've been missing. The FLA & .as file are available here http[url].....

I used to make fullscreen Flash websites, using 100x100 width/height and "No Scale" on Publish Settings.Everything is ok on a browser, since I can position elements using relative coordinates for liquid layouts.Now I have to make a fullscreen standalone .exe projector.To get fullscreen I use fscommand("fullscreen", "true") on the first frame and it works.
The problem is:If I create a 1024x768 Flash movie, even with 100x100 and "No Scale" activated, the movie remains at 1024x768.So, if I trace stage.stageWidth and stage.stageHeight, those remain respectively at "1024" and "768", but I need for the movie to get the max width and max height available on the system.
In the browser it happens automatically, but in the Flash projector it doesn't. how can I get the movie to match the exact size of the screen where it runs?I've tried with Capabilities.screenResolutionX and Y but there is no way (and I think it's normal) to set the stage.width and stage.height properties on runtime.

I can't understand why if I push de button to go full screen and then I press the button to create the "ombra" sprite, it doesent work, it doesnt create the sprite, but If I press esc to go out the full screen, it magically apper.
If I press the createOmbra button before going full screen everithing works fine.

Don't worry about the moving balls, those are just there to challenge the frameRate of the movie, which has a maximum of 60. If you look at the background you can see the gradient effect I'm referring to.
The method I'm currently using to create the gradient animation is a simple shape tween on the Flash timeline that tweens between shapes with different gradient colors. I'm definitely not achieving the performance I want using this technique.
I've also tried creating a static gradient and shifting its color over time using ColorTransform, but this doesn't offer any better performance.
So that's a long-winded way of asking what people think would be a better way to create such a color-shifting gradient while getting better performance? Some examples might be through bitmapData or using PixelBender, but I'm not versed enough in these techniques to know which would get me the best performance.

and the button is within a couple of movie clips, but you can still click it when you test
on the attached fla I have an "invisible" button (button with 0 alpha). I copied a script from the tutes section that will allow me to open a new window when the button is clicked.This works OK, but I also have a MC below the button layer and this MC has some AS attached to it which basically makes it fade out to the image on the bottom layer.
It seems to me that the button script makes the MC script stop working because it's above the MC layer (I've switched the button layer below the MC layer and the fade out then works, but the button doesn't.How can I get both scripts working together? I know that MC's can't work like buttons, but is there a work around this?
I have a swf file that doesn't have any fullscreen button although it's prepared for fullscreen anyway.
Now I'd like to have some kind of button beside/under or elsewhere in the html that can activate the fullscreen mode for the swf.
If it's possible to do this with a regular image, AS3 and html instead of creating a flash movie, that would be nice (see, that was probably a stupid qestion) as I have tried and tested half a dozen flash tutorials to no avail.
Oh, and IF the only way to do it is to create a button in flash, it need to be transparent.....
So I've been assigned to create a custom flash video player. I followed a good tutorial by Lee Brimelow and went far with the project, until I've hit a dead end - fullscreen function for the video itself. I would simply want to add a fullscreen toggle button that doesn't scale my whole scene, but only the video container (videos are loaded from xml via tree component), while preferably keeping the controls visible.I'm really hard pressed here, since I have to finish by tomorrow, but I really can't see making any progress without some guidance, even if I pull an allnighter.
