I'm looking to create a simple .txt file that outputs to becuase I want to make this as simple as possible. Is there a way to do this?

can anyone tell me how the text fx was made on [URL].. go to work section and try to rollovers on the submenu or contact section and once you click on the text field any one can direct to a tutorial site or even better a sample file i think this is text effect also used by group94.com

I have created a small application with three different slides.
-one at frame 1 which acts as a Home page
-one at frame 2 which acts as a Gallery page
-one at frame 3 which acts as a Contact Page

I have a button that I would like to use with the basic actionscript as follows:

What I would like it to do is play a section on the timeline and then move onto another section or scene.

View 2 Repliesthe source files work perfectly when I upload them to my server - but when I insert the form into my flash website - I am unable to receive the contact email at all. The problem must be with the flash file becuase I have not altered the php (except to send to my email)
I am using Flash CS3 (but publishing for action script2) I have double checked all my input field sare named correctly with var_names that match the php code. The form fields have been created as a moviclip named "form" and the following action script attached:

I am going to redesign a website and for that website I want there to be a news section on the homepage. The news section should be built in Flash with images representing news headlines animating on a loop however a user should be able to click one of these images and then within the homepage a Flash pop up will appear with the news article. This is similar to sites that have an image gallery with thumbnails of images but when an thumbnail is clicked then the full size image loads within the same webpage. I want a similar effect but in my case, when a full size image is clicked, a text based news article loads.

I'm new-ish with flash and I am making a stand-alone player that I need a few things to print and have hit trouble when I try and do them.I can print the entire stage no problem.
- What I was hoping to do is have 3 print buttons, 1 would print a section of the player. The other a different section. and the last would print the whole stage (which I've already scripted).
- I've had a look at Print num scripts etc, but am hugely confused.

I am colorblind.I need to change either the color of the background or the color of the text on the layers section on the Timeline.I simply cannot read/see what is currently showing.It is a very light blue background with white text and white dots for seeing, locking, or setting the outline color.I need to either change the text color and dots to black so I can see them, or try to change the background color to a dark blue so I can read the white text.Changing the text color would really be my preference. Adobe hasn't been very concerned about colorblindness when developing these products. I can barely make out all the light grey/grey/dark grey/grey stuff.

Right now I have trace functions that are reading the input in flash. I just need to figure out how to communicate to php. It would be a bonus if I the input text can check to make sure the email is a valid email.

I'm working on a flash template from templare monster. The thing is that when i open the .HTML file of the templare (which call for the .swf file) everything works fine. Even the contact form. But when i open the .fla file And wihtout make changes i export the .swf ( or publish it) everything works cine except the contact form. And with that i mean i cant write in it. There is one flash file and it has a contact form. They are sitting in a subdirectory on my website [URL] The contact form has a button and the action script is as follows

I know this is a no-brainer for people who happen to know the secret to passing variables from a combobox to PHP. I have wasted all day and I give up.
I have a working, secure Flash-based contact form which sends to a PHP file which then emails the information to the chosen email address.
I want someone to add a combobox to my existing code without altering/deleting anything else. That is all I want. I want to be able to compare before and after and see exactly how you added the combobox and got it to work. I do not want to see completely different code and for you to say, "Well, this is how I would do the email form and it works better." The form I have works great and is secure. I just don't know how to add a friggin' combobox.
I am needing to build a contact form in my flash website and need some help. Right now I am using the simple mailto method but a form you be much nicer.
