ActionScript 2.0 :: [FMX] Movieclip Keeps Fading Down And Up Until On Rollout?
Feb 20, 2005
I made a button that fades up a movieclip and then the movieclip keeps fading down and up until on rollout where it fades it down. Now, i use a delete this.onEnterFrame; on the fade out button but im not sure if i should delete this.onEnterFrame in the functions where i fade up and down aswell. If so where/how?Here is the AS:
Code:
fadein = function(){
if (white_1._alpha<=100) {
white_1._alpha += 5;[code]....
I am trying to figure out how to make a bottom bar similar to the one seen ontions inside the bar- here's what I've got so far:as you can see I have a date/time MC inside the bar_mc which is working fine but whenever I try to have a new rollover/rollout movieclip (or button) inside the bar_mc it won't work/won't show rollover animation.
I have a button which on ROLLOVER shows a MOVIECLIP on the stage and on ROLLOUT it should remove it from the stage.Check out this code which perfectly works as i want
[Code]...
but my problem is wen i go back to same button after a rollover, the movie clip doesnt show or code does not respond.
I've written my first function the only problem...... it doesn't work properly. Here's my function: Code: function fade() { i = 1; while(i<10){ roll._alpha = roll._alpha - 10; i++ if(i>=10){ gotoAndStop(1); trace("boe"); }}}
The function is located at the second frame inside a mc called "FLASH" , even as the mc "roll". The mc "FLASH" has the next piece of code: Code: on(rollOver){ gotoAndPlay(2); }on(rollOut){ this.fade(); } So when you rollover it, you will go to frame 2 in mc "FLASH", where my function and the mc "roll" are. But when I roll out, mc "roll" won't fade out...
I've got mc which onRollOver goes up and onRollOut it goes down. The problem is when I test the movie and move over the movieclip it works fine, but when I am doing it fast over it, it goes up and doesn't go down even I rollOut. This happens only over fast motion with mouse.
I have movieclip controlled by a button. by rollover on the button the movieclip transition starts working and I want that on rollout the movieclip will disappear in smooth fade. (the movieclip and the button have an instance name).
When ROLL_OVER the first image (typ: button) "map", the "panorama" image Tween (typ: movieClip) appears and starts to move on x --> that works. Now the PROBLEM is, that when ROLL_OUT on "panorama" the Tween to Fade Out (twOut) doesn't Fade Out and take the panorama MovieClip away. It should be a nice little Fade (EaseOut) Effect, not like removeChild(panorama). I can't track the position of the "panorama.x" whilest it is moving.
ActionScript Code: import fl.transitions.Tween; import fl.transitions.TweenEvent; import fl.transitions.easing.*; var timer:Timer = new Timer(1000); timer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, moveit); [Code] .....
How to make trail behind movie clip. I suppose it should be some kind of duplicate mc function but dont know how to write it. For example there is rectangle (mc) on screen when I click on it should move to the left but it should leave copies of itself behind it with different opacity, closer copies should be more visible and they all should fade out (I mean trail not main rectangle), it should look like circular animation which are often used in some flash video players where rectangles are rotating around center point but they aren't all same opacity.
I've looked around the net on this issue, and came up with the following code to fade out the volume on my movieclip:
var myTransform = new SoundTransform(); myTransform.volume = 1; loaderClip2[indexNumber].soundTransform = myTransform; audioTween = new TweenLite(myTransform, 2, {volume:0});
My movie clip is stored in the Array loaderClip2 at index position determined by the variable indexNumber. This code does not produce the desired fade.
I used a great tutorial posted on KIRUPA by Sam Kellett aka Sammo [URL] and i was wandering if i can make the snowflakes fade to transparent at the bottom of the movie?
I'm trying to play 2 external flash movies. its already running ok but i need the scene to be somewhat to gradually become transparent so that the timebased scene2 will comeout to of the screen.
Here is the script of it:
var myLoader:Loader = new Loader(); var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("scene2.swf"); myLoader.load(url); addChild(myLoader);
I need some help figuring out why my rollout is not working on this menu:I put some little close buttons at the bottom just to link them closed for now.Rollout isn't working.My code for each link is a movie clip with two frames for example links on "mens"Frame 1:
Link: [URL]. On my movieClip I have a rollOver & rollOut effect with the following script. txt1: will easeOut larger/ easeIn smallertxt2: will fade in. Script:txt1.onRollOver = function() { gotoAndPlay("on");}; txt1.onRollOut = function() { gotoAndPlay("off"); };
Problem: In my flash file since this effect is done on keyframes if you rollOver the movieClip the easeOut/easeIn on txt1 effect will stick on the stage and it doesn't look clean. How I could go about this with hard coding the actionscript effect instead of using a static motion tween.
A friend of mine asked me to build a web site. Since I am a graphic illustrator and that I know a lot of After Effects, he tought that that would be easy for me building his site.Well, here I am, stuck with this flash problem (I am a nuke in actionScript). The guy wants an interactive map of the best country in the world, that is, Canada.When the users mouse hovers a province, a little rollover/rollout animation plays. Actually, it took me about three weeks to make it work, but it works.Now, this is wheretrying to figure out how to trigger a movieclip with a rollover/rollout button. When the users mouse hovers an important city (in this example, Ottawa, Ontario), on rollover, it should play the movieclip box_mc up to frame 40 and on rollout, play the rest of the movieclip
I have a movieclip that has selectable text / scroll bar / other buttons etc - What I would like is to have an onRollOver / RollOut event to call a function on the entire movieclip, however when I do this - The entire movieclip is treated as a button and I cannot select the text nor click the scroll bar / other movieclip buttons within this movieclip. Is there a way to set the onrollover / rollout to execute a function without having the movieclip itself turn into a button / stop functioning?
Last week I made a class to simplify rollOver and rollOut event of a button based on MovieClip with ENTER_FRAME event. It works well but I'm not quite sure this is the best class, since I'm new in AS3 Classes. Now, if you don't mind to take a glimpse of my class.
Here is the class
Code: /** * VERSION: Early * DATE: 2011-11-15 * AS3
I am making a flyout menu and I have all the desired effects I need using actionscript but one: for the movieclip that fades in to fade out if the mouse has not been touching it for 3 seconds.
The way it works: The buttons in the navigation are movieclips. Each button movieclip has a submenu (which is also a movieclip). Each button movieclip is triggered to tween on Rollover and tween (alpha) in. As it is now, when the user rolls over a different button in the navigation, the submenu will disappear which is desired. The problem is that when a user rolls over a navigation item and triggers the submenu, but does not roll over another button, the submenu stays in view. What I want is for this submenu movieclip to fade out of view if the user hasn't had their mouse over it for 3 seconds.
on (release){ _root.drew._visible =false; gotoAndPlay(31); } Above is my code which I am using to try and fade out a MC when a button is pressed. The button (and the picture it shows when pressed) are within the same MC. I have placed this MC on the root timeline and given the MC I want to fade out the instance name drew // but still not having any luck making invisible.
I made a movie clip, with a button inside. When you roll over the button it takes you to frame 2, and on roll out back to frame 1. On press you go to frame 3. Similar to a button. It also attaches a white fading shape over the button on roll over. This button/movie clip works fine.
But when I try to add: (playbutton_mc_inst = the movie clip button) Code: playbutton_mc_inst.onRelease = function() { gotoAndStop("level01"); } The roll over, roll out and press commands don't work when I add that.
Just started using MX and learning ActionScript. How to make a button rollover/rollout target another movieclip using AS. (Before I was just putting an instance of my _mc on the OVER frame of the button. The problem is, whe I went to the AS menu, I couldn't find tellTarget anywhere. Later I found out its depreciated since v.5. What can I use in MX to substitute for this wonderful function???
I can't work out why - but when I try to fade out some text (by calling fadeoutSecondText), the text fades out, and then immediately fades back in. Fading in and out struggle against each other, resulting in rapidly flashing text!
I want to make a presentation in flash with all my work. Sort of a PowerPoint presentation but in flash. Yes, I know there is a built in PowerPoint function I flash. But I want it to be some more dynamic and most of all. I want it to run without pressing the "Spacebar" between all the MovieClips. I don't know if this is a good way, but my idea is to make a movie clip of each "thing" I want to present. I.e. I make a MovieClip with a logotypes fading in and out. And one MovieClip with another logotype fading in and out. Then I just want to add these external swf files in the main timeline and when the first external MovieClip has finished next ones starts. And when all the swf files have been played. It starts all over again.
I have a movieclip within the "over" section of my button, which contains both an roll over and a roll out animation. My problem is that I cant seem to get flash to play the rollOut animation.
I placed the following code in the button itself
on (rollOut) { this.start_mc.gotoAndPlay("mouseOut");}
I tried setting up a function to find when the user rolls off the button but it didn't work either.
this is what I want to achieve:I want to make a presentation in flash with all my work. Sort of a PowerPoint presentation but in flash. Yes, I know there is a built in PowerPoint function I flash. when i test the movie all i see is a large grey box (border color) with a medium white box (box color) in the bottom right.when i edit the border and lose the grey box but leave its line borders then i get the image with the white box in the bottom right. i've got an image: instance named 'image', a box: instance named 'box' and a border: instance named 'border' and pasted in the actionscript in
i've done the Fading Grid tutorial that Voetsjoeba wrote but i seem to be de-railing somewhere when i test the movie all i see is a large grey box (border color) with a medium white box (box color) in the bottom right.when i edit the border and lose the grey box but leave its line borders then i get the image with the white box in the bottom right. i've got an image: instance named 'image', a box: instance named 'box' and a border: instance named 'border' and pasted in the actionscript in place but it still hangs.
I know this question has been asked a thousand times already, but I simply can't get it to work. I've looked at various other threads posts, but none of them seem to work. Here's what I'm trying to do: I have a button (Instance name: "go") and a MC (instance name: "fader"). Now, I want the MC to fade in on rollOut and fade out on rollOut. Currently, I have this code: In frame 1 of my movie: (taken from this thread)
I have a movieclip with an image fading in and out (using an actionscript tween class set to yoyo). This movieclip is loaded into a dummy movieclip when a button is pressed. The first time you click the button the fading movieclip plays as it should, fading in and out continuously. However, the second or subsequent times the button is clicked the fading movieclip goes crazy, half fading in/out and half jumping from one alpha value to another.
