ActionScript 2.0 :: Flipbook Which Turns Page Automatically

I'm interested in coming up with a flipbook which turn to another page, with a "turn page" animation. Exacly like what they did for Fullerton, at this URL...I got a great reply from JCS (thanx again dude!), who passed me a fla where they came out with a flip book, but you'll have to manually drag the page frm one page to another. Technically this flip book is more superior, as the user can flip the book manually, and it looks very very cool, but the thing is, there doens't seem to be a way to flip all the way to the last page withouth going through all the pages in between, and that sucks, as imagine that the document has like 50 pages!. BTW, the file in JCS sent can be downloaded here.URL...So basically, I want to modify the script to enable the the page to turn automatically when clicked, instead of having to drag the page.

I've created a flipbook in Flash. It pretty much looks the way I want it to except for one thing. On the 3rd and 4th page I've created a spread where it has have a movieclip playing inside the pages. It plays fine but everytime you're about to flip to the next or previous page it keeps playing the animation inside the page. Obviously I only want it to play once. Even though I put a 'stop' function inside the movieclip it still loops the animation. It looks like I have to set a function at the top level so it disables the movieclip after the first page-flip. Is this possible? Or is there another way that I can make the animation stop looping when about to flip pages? I could only attach the actionscript in word doc as the fla and swf where too big to attach. If you're happy to look into it I can email it to you.

how to make moving objects leave a "ghost" impression of itself behind that automatically shrinks and turns invisible. I've managed to get the original particles to drop, but now I'm looking for a way to get the particles to actually leave disappearing non-moving prints behind them.

I have a flash header for an html site that is about a megabyte and obviously needs a preloader. Unfortunately it won't work to have the preloader loading at the top while the rest of the html below is visible — it will end up looking like the top navigation is cut off, as the top 10 pixels of the nav bar is actually in the swf header (fully loaded it will look contiguous)Is there a way to preload it in one html page and then once it's loaded into the cache automatically jump to the page with the big swf?

I have created a booklet in InDesign cs4 that includes page turn transitions. I have saved it as a SWF file and it works perfectly on my PC with the ability to sweep through the page turns. My issue is now, what type of file can I export the SWF file to so that I can view it on an iPad and am still able to have the page curls?

I have a thumb nail movieclip picture, when clicked on it comes across the screen from the left to the center, then increases in size. When clicked again it does the opposite and disappears which is what I want but then I need the page to automatically goto back to where the thumb nail is.I have tried getURL but no luck.

but now i have to do one thing that is. when my intro is completed then page will automatically redirect to website home page.
is it possible then page will be redirect without single click. if yes then how.

I have been working in Flash CS3 now for a couple of months and action scripts have been a challenge for me. I have created a site that has 4 areas that play a looping swf file of images. I can get this to work no problem with a behavior for rollover, but what I am looking to do is have the 4 swf files automatically play when the page loads.
The swf file I want to play is really simple, just images of banners.

can anyone tell me the coding for how to load an html page after a flash intro? i have my .swf file in my html page which plays to enter site, but intead of going right from clicking on enter and bringing up the html page i have it clicking on the 'enter site' which goes to a fade up animation which i would then like to end automatically at the html page.
can't for the life of me find this coding which seemed to me shouldnt have been this hard, all i can find is the geturl script which seems to only work for as2.

I have a bunch of buttons. That when pressed call a seperate function. I do this so that if I wanted to play a video, I can put a command at the end telling it to launch to a new page automatically. Sooooo, I'd do this:

Is there a way to give an onPress/onRelease function a command that can be called, without having to write two separate functions?

I have a streaming MP3 player that i'm going to incorporate into my site. Below is the AS for the player. At the moment the player starts automatically when the page loads up. Can someone tell me what i'd need to change so the player doesn't start streaming on page load....?

I am making my portfolio and trying to learn working with as3 at the same time. I have hit a rock now and I tried very hard to deal on my own but to no result I get this error when I tried make my home page load automatically first.

I have a home page and five other pages. The five pages have a main menu at the top containing buttons that allow you to go to the other pages:

I have an actions layer. Each section has the following action in the first frame: stop(); When I view the website the home page works correctly. However, any page with the main menu automatically switches to the next page after about six seconds. The code seems pretty straightforward so I have no idea what I'm missing.

I have attached a zip file which has a main.fla and a folder pages which contains 2 fla's p1.fla and p2.fla.The main page loads the first page which is p1 and as the main page has 2 buttons i am using _level script to know which page to load, actually i wanted to create 3 buttons. Since i have already created 2 buttons the first page automatically loads but when i click on the 2nd button it does'nt the p1 page goes but it comes back again.In the main there is a movie clip which has an instance name of page_mc and the code inside it is:

In a "container" movie I have an imported swf flipbook from indesign that needs some buttons to move through pages. I can control it with a simple nextFrame() and prevFrame() but this is done without the page curling/turning effect. Does anybody know which as3 command(s) or function(s) calls the turning effect like when clicked at corner of pages?

I am creating a flipbook application for a magazine. I am using Flash CS4(AS3) to build a navigation interface which contains a UILoader that loads magazine pages in SWF format created by InDesign CS5.Initially I was loading one large SWF file for the magazine pages. Internal links on the table of contents worked great but the load time was ridiculous. Now I am loading individual SWF files for each spread (adjacent pages) and the load time is great, however the links on the table of contents no longer work, which I expected.
The links still appear to be on the page however they don't appear to do anything. I have managed to interrogate the display list objects within the SWF file and the links appear to be of SimpleButton type. Some are even recognized as having HTML significance, they are given an instance name of "Hlnk#" instead of just "Instance#".I think my problem is that I can't/don't know how to get to the event that is triggered by the link/SimpleButton object. If I could see what page it is referencing I could load it.

I have recently purchased Pageflip 3.6 (http://pageflip.hu/) for a project at work and what I am planning on doing is implementing a guest book which i have created in flash.The guest book I created consists of a file upload (for images) a comment entry and a signature section (where the user has a choice between a bunch of fonts and writes there name) which are located on the left page of the flip book and then on the right page it displays the post (using XML).
Now the guest book on its own works like a charm, but when it is called into Pageflip the buttons for the upload/submit stop working and nothing happens.The way Pageflip pulls in the swf/png/jpg to fill its content is through an XML file.Pageflip does have hot spots and controls to switch pages directly within the book but I have disabled them so that you can only switch pages through the control bar, as I thought the hot spots were conflicting with the input for the guest book but it didn't do anything it still will not allow me to use the controls for the guest book.
I know this might be kind of confusing I hope i described my problem clearly enough and any help or input at all would be fantastic. I'm fairly green with actionscript but i'm the only one at my agency that knows how to use it so its tough on me to do these advanced things without anyone to bounce ideas off of

I want to create Flipbook in flex/Flash. Normally its created via XML and XML has some image or swf list it is loading as page in flipbook. But I want to create this functionality directly from the PDF file. Just developer need to give only PDF file name/path flip book will generate automatically.

i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,

I've been using flash for a whopping 3 days now, and I've stumbled onto a problem that I can't seem to find a way around. I'm using flash 4, due to the fact that #1 it's all I've got, and #2 the new flash mx 6 won't run on the old ass computer I'm using. This is my problem: I import a .bmp image and edit it in flash to make portions of it animated. The image is a symbol (I think it has to be anyway to animate it...) Everything runs fine when I use the basic play/rewind buttons to test the animiation, but when I make it into an executable, or when I go to the menu and hit "Test Movie", the image shows up as a red square. The animation I added still runs, but the actual image I imported is a red square.

I would like a function to run when a user clicks anywhere on stage. But this function should not run when the click is on buttons & on url:s inside a dynamic html-formated textfield. How can I detect this? I do realise that the cursor turns to a hand when you hoover over a url inside a textfield & you can set the hand to appear on buttons as well (which i always set it to do). So is there a way in realtime to detect when the cursor is & is not a hand? I've tried the following:

I am trying to load html into a text box from a website. when i load to the text box, everything goes fine except that it is loaded as something that looks like this:
