ActionScript 3.0 :: Go To Another Page Automatically When MC Has Finished?
Oct 23, 2010
I have a thumb nail movieclip picture, when clicked on it comes across the screen from the left to the center, then increases in size. When clicked again it does the opposite and disappears which is what I want but then I need the page to automatically goto back to where the thumb nail is.I have tried getURL but no luck.
how to automatically load external movie clips so that they load and play after the previous movie clip has finished. I have attached a simplified version of the files that I am working with. The files are set up as so: Main.fla : this is the main file in which all of the other movie clips are loaded into.Movie1.fla, Movie2.fla, Movie3.fla : These movies need to load and play after the previous movie has finished playing.
I just did the tutorial for building the gallery found at [URL].. I added audio to the slides, and am trying to figure out how to advance the slide automatically when the audio is finished playing.
I have a flash header for an html site that is about a megabyte and obviously needs a preloader. Unfortunately it won't work to have the preloader loading at the top while the rest of the html below is visible — it will end up looking like the top navigation is cut off, as the top 10 pixels of the nav bar is actually in the swf header (fully loaded it will look contiguous)Is there a way to preload it in one html page and then once it's loaded into the cache automatically jump to the page with the big swf?
I want the simple movie to load the URL(home page) after it's finished. so i tried to add getURL("[URL]" , "_blank"); at the end of movie, but i keep getting errors.. this is the website that i'm working on LINK It's a very simple. i'm not even going to dare to make it fancier. I just want the movie to be over and go straight to the home page without any clicks.. i tried to put the geturl thingy at the last movie clip(Imagine tomorrow) and i tried to put it at the end of the keyline.. neither seem to work. i'm sure it's very easy one, but it just doesn't work.
I'm interested in coming up with a flipbook which turn to another page, with a "turn page" animation. Exacly like what they did for Fullerton, at this URL...I got a great reply from JCS (thanx again dude!), who passed me a fla where they came out with a flip book, but you'll have to manually drag the page frm one page to another. Technically this flip book is more superior, as the user can flip the book manually, and it looks very very cool, but the thing is, there doens't seem to be a way to flip all the way to the last page withouth going through all the pages in between, and that sucks, as imagine that the document has like 50 pages!. BTW, the file in JCS sent can be downloaded here.URL...So basically, I want to modify the script to enable the the page to turn automatically when clicked, instead of having to drag the page.
I have been working in Flash CS3 now for a couple of months and action scripts have been a challenge for me. I have created a site that has 4 areas that play a looping swf file of images. I can get this to work no problem with a behavior for rollover, but what I am looking to do is have the 4 swf files automatically play when the page loads.
The swf file I want to play is really simple, just images of banners.
can anyone tell me the coding for how to load an html page after a flash intro? i have my .swf file in my html page which plays to enter site, but intead of going right from clicking on enter and bringing up the html page i have it clicking on the 'enter site' which goes to a fade up animation which i would then like to end automatically at the html page.
can't for the life of me find this coding which seemed to me shouldnt have been this hard, all i can find is the geturl script which seems to only work for as2.
I'm new in flash and I taking a basic flash class in my school, I did a project in which have a basic intro, well the problem that I have is this, I want after finish the intro automatically load the first page of the project, how to do that? edit: the intro and the flash project are in separated SWF's
I have a bunch of buttons. That when pressed call a seperate function. I do this so that if I wanted to play a video, I can put a command at the end telling it to launch to a new page automatically. Sooooo, I'd do this:
I have a streaming MP3 player that i'm going to incorporate into my site. Below is the AS for the player. At the moment the player starts automatically when the page loads up. Can someone tell me what i'd need to change so the player doesn't start streaming on page load....?
I am making my portfolio and trying to learn working with as3 at the same time. I have hit a rock now and I tried very hard to deal on my own but to no result I get this error when I tried make my home page load automatically first.
Error #2025: The supplied DisplayObject must be a child of the caller. at flash.display:isplayObjectContainer/removeChild()
how to make the child to be the child of the caller or figure out another way to load the homepage at the beginning.
I have a home page and five other pages. The five pages have a main menu at the top containing buttons that allow you to go to the other pages:
on(release){ gotoAndPlay("gallery"); }
I have an actions layer. Each section has the following action in the first frame: stop(); When I view the website the home page works correctly. However, any page with the main menu automatically switches to the next page after about six seconds. The code seems pretty straightforward so I have no idea what I'm missing.
How to alter the onPress to make things happen automatically when the page loads? Basically here my_btn (on frame 1) is used to send data to the server. I need it to happen automatically when the page opens in the browser.
I have attached a zip file which has a main.fla and a folder pages which contains 2 fla's p1.fla and p2.fla.The main page loads the first page which is p1 and as the main page has 2 buttons i am using _level script to know which page to load, actually i wanted to create 3 buttons. Since i have already created 2 buttons the first page automatically loads but when i click on the 2nd button it does'nt the p1 page goes but it comes back again. In the main there is a movie clip which has an instance name of page_mc and the code inside it is:
i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,
function over(event:MouseEvent):void { this.gotoAndPlay(30);} function out(event:MouseEvent):void {[code].....
I have a master page and a child page and have placed the javascript code inside the child page for flash movie.
The problem is the movie seems working when there is a alert on, without at least one alert msg, the code does not work, I am sure you people can solve, I can see that the following code works well in both Mozilla and IE, but only if the alert is ON, if I put it off, then the code does not work. Can anybody tell me what is the workaround :
_root.object_1.sunny.gotoAndPlay("walk"); _root.object_1.sunny.gotoAndPlay("laugh");Hi, I code the following. But it jumps straight to the seconf mc "laugh". Is there nbo way of playing walk and on finishing playing laugh.
I'm working on a project where a SWF will play (as sort of a splash), followed by JS. After the video plays, the navigation and content will appear, and the video will fade out. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to accomplish this? Play the video first and then load everything via ajax behind the scenes? The goal is to be as seamless as possible and I am having a flash asset provided to me by the client.
I have a movie that plays a series of movie clips, it will play a clip, then, once the clip has finished, it will move to frame 2, where it will play another clip, and so on
Is there any way for the root timeline to now when a child movie clip has completed. I currently have the child clips do _root.nextframe, but i would prefer to have all control within the root
A.swf has an empty_mc on it's stage. Loading into the empty_mc is B.swf.B.swf plays C.flv. After the C.flv is done playing I want B.swf to tell A.swf to go to frame 3
I have set up a nice video site for a client. I have a sub menu where you can select swf files. Each swf has an FLV attatched to it. I prefered this method over XML for various reasons. In any case I would like after the swf has loaded, and the flv COMPLETES the entire movie, to automatically go to the next swf file and start that flv. I've tried many codes with no luck.
I'm using Actionscript 2 for this interactive. This is what I'm trying to get a button to do:on release:check "mainmovie1" mc on main timeline. If "mainmovie1" mc's timeline is at frame labeled "finished" go to label "1.0" on main timeline If not, go to label "fake_1.0" main timeline
