ActionScript 2.0 :: Formmail Forms & Website Does Not Contain Any Dynamic Text

I'm creating a website for a friend which it's being made using Dynamic Texts (he wants different switchable languages). Problems come when submitting the Form... I've used the same Form model (formmail) for other websites which did not use any Dynamic Text and they worked without problems. The exact problem is that the submitted Form is not received (don't think it's even sent) to the specified email address. However, if the same website does not contain any dynamic text, then the form works properly and the query is received at my mailbox. Has anybody experienced a similar situation?? I'm completely lost because I can't understand the reason for this behaviour, the only thing I know for sure is that the problem is variable related.

INTO MORE DETAILS: In the attached fla example file here, I've simplified things very much by just leaving 2 Forms (one made with Dynamic text and another one without any dynamic text on it). Very peculiar, if in frame 1 I call the variables from the text file:
[AS]webcontent= "File.txt" loadVariablesNum (webcontent, 0);[/AS] the 2 Forms stop working properly: The static one doesn't even seem to submit data and the dynamic one, it seems data has been sent but data is never received. As soon as I delete these 2 lines of AS, they work properly again (although of course, no words can be seen in the Form made with dynamic text).

I'm trying to make a feature for my website where a visitor can sign up for a mailing list. i have a form on my site else where (done in HTML) and it uses the server-side script FormMail to process and deliver the form. I was wondering if there was any 'easy' way for me to use this same script from flash for this feature.

I am trying to create a quote estimator on my website. I want to create forms in flash that can take inputs (numbers) from the user and then automatically calculate the values by mutliping certain forms and and then totaling them up.
The total value does not need to be saved. No database is required.
I am assuming I need to use dynamic texts?

I created a form for my website for customers to post information and I want this information to be sent to my email. The server does not support PHP, nor my own .pl or cgi scripts to send email. The server is Windows IIS based, so SendMail is a bust. The server says I have to use their FormMail script which is located on a separate link.

I have a AS3 fla and I have 3 simple contact fields. I am using formmail.pl to pass the data through to email. I published the swf and uploaded to my server and the data passes fine. My problem however is instead of having the default open up from the formmail.pl file is there a way with AS3 to tell flash once the data has been submitted to gotoAndStop on a specified frame and show the user my own page in the same swf file? Here is the code I have for my form. Everything resides in the first frame.

Im trying to make a website using swfaddress, and i cant figure out how to do the dynamics with arrays, rather then putting the motion tweening in the frames. What i got so far: everything is working as long as you use the buttons on the page, each button in the menu makes the previous page go away and brings up a new page according to the button pressed (its just white square, that comes from the bottom of the screen) dynamically.
Buttons and pages are located in the first frame, then i ve got keyframes: about, gallery, etc. The problem comes up when i upload it in the internet, and i try to use the back and forward buttons in the browser, my white square windows (pages) are only capable of moving out of the page, but a new white square doesnt come up.

I would like to try to build a big site - something like facebook () but in flash. What is the optimal resolution for this mission? I'm planning to do the integration like that:
Flash AS3.0---XML--->PHP---SQL--->MySQL---Data--->PHP---XML--->Flash AS3.0
What classes should I pay attention for? I want to apply the aforementioned integration for anything: Login the user, read messages etc. I think the "loyal" way to transfer data is with XML, but for a short and simple (username and password only) Login- maybe in fact the best way is GET method? or still XML? I heard the best way is to create one function for the Integration-how do u think to do it?

In my buttonView class I have a function to add all my button_mc's depending on what's in my XML file. I have my main movie, which contains the logo and navigation.I have a blank movieclip created with actionscript that loads the individual movie swf files.That works fine.What I want to do, and which I can't figure out is dynamically have the main navigation buttons' text indicate what page you the user is on. Right now the code is on each button instance, example:[code]so the variable aMenu holds the moveclip names of the buttons. pageHolder holds the the name of the current page that is loaded.Thats how I change the pages to be loaded. To explain, if you look at the button code, the text for each button is by default greay and when you rollover it becomes black and off and it becomes gray again. That is on the first frame. On the second frame the text is black.In the code I tried to make the black dynamically, but it didn't work, so I settled for going to the second frame and stopping.My second question(much shorter I promise).I guess its preference, but is it generally good to put the code on each instance of a button or put in in the main frame where your code lies.

As far as I know theres in no way to cahnge the alpha of a dynamic text box. I put one in a movie clip and when i try to change the alpha of it everything else in it changes its alpha but the not the DT box. Could someone plz verify for me that u can't change alpha and help me find a component that allows alpha control with a dynamic text box. thx in advance.

I want to have the mini text box load new external text files in the main text box. For instance, I have a button for music, which loads a list of songs in the mini text box. I'm making a flash website for a non-profit organization. I made a guestbook with PHP and XML and my contact form with PHP, but the server I am using doesn't accept files with php, asp, js, html, or htm extensions. They are using godaddy's WebSite Tonight built-in website builder currently. They want to keep the original site for backup but cannot export the current website files because of the website builder application. Is there any way I get make a guestbook without php, asp, js, or html?

If you take a look at my flash movie you will see that I have draggable movie clips, which contain dynamic text fields. These text fields contain text drawn in from a simple xml document. The problem I have is that the text in the text fields is hedged right next to the border of the autosized text box. This makes them look untidy and in the worst case difficult to read. I wonder how I can add some margin to the left and right of the text to fill in some space.The code which formats the text boxes is:

if I repeat this IIS topic, I couldn't find the answer to my problem any where on the internet. I installed FMS Dev 3.5 on Win 2003 Server with IIS 6.0 enabled. I don't have any issue with port 80 Listening, I used the IP address 192.168.0.21 for my web application (IIS) and 192.168.0.22 for FMS (I only have one network card and port 1935 is open under firewall). I can play the sample videos (RTMP, HTTP, and Dynamic Stream) using the Flash Media Start Screen (or from the location C: Program FilesAdobe Flash Media Server 3.5webrootindex.html) without any problem.
I then modified the IIS Default Website to look at the "webroot" folder (C: Program FilesAdobe Flash Media Server 3.5webroot). From IE, I can access the default web site by enter http://192.168.0.21/index.html. The website loads up correctly, and the RTMP video is playing perfectly. However, if I click Play Video (HTTP) or Dynamic Stream (tab), I receive "Connection Error. Please press Play to try again." I look at the log file (access.01.log) and see the error log "Session disconnect

I have a dynamic text on the stage which gets updated (shows numbers) when some buttons are pressed.I just need to know if it is possible to show the first dynamic textfield in another dynamic textfield.Lets say the first dynamic textfield called "price" and the second one called "price2". when a button is pressed, the first dynamic textfield "price" will show a number. is it possible to show whatever is shown in the "price" in "price2" ?

I'm creating an XML-driven pie chart in AS3 with 2 text boxes in each pie slice. Both text fields are dynamic in the sense that they are populated by the XML doc and then told where to place themselves in the AS3. I've got them both using the same x and y position to place themselves at the moment (which of course puts them right one top of each other), but I'd like to make one of the fields (which acts like a label or a title to the larger number and % text field) place itself in a particular spot around the other text field. The result I'm looking for is to have the smaller "title" text field appear approximately 5 pixels above and left-justified to the larger "percentage" field.
Anyway, here are two sections of code that I've currently got. The first chunk, for the Tags portion, sets the position for the "percentage" text field using a good old x and y method. The second chunk, for Titles, is setting the position for the smaller "title" text.

I am doing some forms in Flash Cs4 with AS3. The forms are working well, but i have a code to check if people have enter information in every field. But the verification only works for 2 field.
