ActionScript 2.0 :: Loading Dynamic Text Breaks Formmail Forms [renamed]?

This matter is something I haven't been able to solve for long and now I'm really desperate to find out an answer.Here's a link to a very simple zip file (as example) containing the conflictive fla and other files, for those of you who may want to have a look at it.TO SIMPLIFY THINGS:It seems that whenever I use a couple of AS instructions to load some Dynamic text from a text file, Forms which are based in formmail, stop working (no matter if these forms are made of dynamic or static text). Why??INTO MORE DETAILS:In the attached fla example file here, I've simplified things very much by just leaving 2 Forms (one made with Dynamic text and another one without any dynamic text on it).
Very peculiar, if in frame 1 I call the variables from the text file:[AS]webcontent= "File.txt"loadVariablesNum (webcontent, 0);[/AS]the 2 Forms stop working properly: The static one doesn't even seem to submit data and the dynamic one, it seems data has been sent but data is never received.As soon as I delete these 2 lines of AS, they work properly again (although of course, no words can be seen in the Form made with dynamic text).
Both submit buttons contain the following AS:

I'm creating a website for a friend which it's being made using Dynamic Texts (he wants different switchable languages). Problems come when submitting the Form... I've used the same Form model (formmail) for other websites which did not use any Dynamic Text and they worked without problems. The exact problem is that the submitted Form is not received (don't think it's even sent) to the specified email address. However, if the same website does not contain any dynamic text, then the form works properly and the query is received at my mailbox. Has anybody experienced a similar situation?? I'm completely lost because I can't understand the reason for this behaviour, the only thing I know for sure is that the problem is variable related.

I'm trying to make a feature for my website where a visitor can sign up for a mailing list. i have a form on my site else where (done in HTML) and it uses the server-side script FormMail to process and deliver the form. I was wondering if there was any 'easy' way for me to use this same script from flash for this feature.

Is there any way to make line breaks when you load text into a dynamic text box, other than using html? And if not, could someone give me an example of how to do it using html?

I'm not sure if its a specific cs5 problem, but my dynamic text boxes started breaking for seemingly no reason. I will tell it to display the contents of a variable, something like:
var myString:String = "15234m";
TextField.text = myString;
And on screen it will display something like "m" or "1"
Ive pulled up old flash files, that were working, and as soon as I save them out as cs5, all my dynamic text fields stop working correctly.

I've finally got XML information coming into my text field. Only problem now is that there for every line break in the text, Flash reads it as two line breaks, for example:
XML:
Line 1
Line 2
Flash:
Line 1
Line 2
I found that you can just use the <br> tag in the original text or if I'm using actionscript to input the text I can use or but what if I'm using text generated by a CMS which my client needs to be able to use?

im trying to load an .swf movie (or file which ever it is) into my main movie...well the way im doing that is by clicking a button and then the movie loads...then im wanting to be able to click another button and load a different movie BUTTTT when i do this right now the second button's movie loads right over the first buttons movie!! what do i do?!?

[URL]the opening squence i suppose it's all just movie tweens between files, but how is this thing done, when you click a button, the middle screen/part of the site, has a transition effect, loads, and there is a new page! i know how to do the transitions, and the loading bar, but how do i exactly tell my button, where to load an external movie file!...
basically, i want it when somone goes to the site, the while site opens, there are transition effects, and three different movies open at three different spots on the site...just like it happens at www.void.com when you enter their site, they got the main window, and the botton right and left windows!

I am trying to load an image into a movieclip and then draw the contents of the movieclip to a bitmapData object.
Below is some sample code.

For some reason it always draws a white box rather than the image. Has anyone ever seen this happen with the bitmapData class?

I can't get the code to "know" which of the dynamic thumbnails has been clicked (by "know", I mean return an index value, say 0 through 7 if there are 8 projects, that I can use to access that particular project in the array of 8 projects in the rest of the code)... So if the third movieclip thumbnail were clicked, I'd like "2" to come up somehow... I've tried this code, which is kind of lame, I know, based off of the idea of each of the thumbnail movieclips' names ending in their index number:

I'm relatively new to Actionscript, in fact, I just figured out today how to load text from an external source. I have another issue that I'm not sure how to handle. I have buttons for my main nav, a main text box, and a mini text box (both text boxes are loaded dynamically from external files). I want to have the mini text box load new external text files in the main text box. For instance, I have a button for music, which loads a list of songs in the mini text box. I want to be able to click on the name of one of the songs and have it load the lyrics in the main text box. I'm sure it's simple, I'm just new.

So I'm loading text from an external file I've uploaded onto the internet. It loads absolutely fine when I test the movie from my computer, but when I upload it and embed it onto an html page, all of the dynamic text refuses to load. Can someone enlighten me as to what's going on? Or at least tell me how to fix it? XD;

this is should be pretty simple but I have had a lot of trouble figuring this out..
I have one dynamic text field called "content_txt"
I have 3 buttons with 3 different instance names (btn1 btn2 btn3)
I have 3 text documents in a folder (1.txt 2.txt 3.txt)
I am able to have 1.txt loaded into content_txt, but here is the problem.
I would like btn2 to load 2.txt and btn3 to load 3.txt into content_txt.
I have looked for an answer for this problem (and found many close answers) but when I try and make my code fit, it just doesn't work. I'm really new to this so any help would be amazing. (or if this has been answered somewhere else and I have missed it..

When a user enters the website, it will pull text from some location (possibly an XML file) and load it into a text field. The trick is that I want it to randomly load a different chunk of text in each time the user opens the site. There are about 25 different small pieces of text I want to randomly load.

I am trying to create a quote estimator on my website. I want to create forms in flash that can take inputs (numbers) from the user and then automatically calculate the values by mutliping certain forms and and then totaling them up.
The total value does not need to be saved. No database is required.
I am assuming I need to use dynamic texts?

I have a dynamic text box that is loading in a text file. It seems to be doing this perfectly well. However, some HTML tags seem to break it. <b> makes the text dissapear. I tried doing a <span> on it, and changing the font-family with CSS, but I dont think its reading the CSS at all.

At the moment, everything is output to stage in one big clump. But I can't figure how to make each text field display on separate lines. Messing with the y value doesn't seem to do the trick nor do line breaks in the XML.

Putting them in a text field or movie clip would allow me apply mouse events, etc. I'm a novice coder and so I'm just trying to feel out the best way I can handle it at the moment!

I have a scroller window in my Flash file which uses a Dynamic string variable fed by a text.html file containing my variable &about_readmore_txt2 After running some tests with the text.html file, I noticed that after a certain number of line breaks (either entered by a "RETURN" or a <br />) the final text rendered when the Flash is played becomes erratic. It only displays a portion of the text in the middle of the scrolling window.The tests have been run using both options : Rendered as html and not. My tests also shows that this behavior is line breaks related (I shrank the content of the variable down to a point where everything comes back to normal and then, if I add another line break, it starts behaving erraticly again

Creating an image map in Flash MX. I want to be able to load text that I put in the actionscript pane into a text box, so when I mouse over a particular area of my image it will detect and put my text in the text box up on mouse over and disappear on mouse out.
