Feb 15, 2011I've created next/back buttons to navigate to various frame labels on the timeline. There is a "main menu" frame that contains menu buttons to take the user to other frame labels on the timeline. However this "main menu" frame has an FLV playing and needs to be "stopped" when navigating to another frame label. I have the code for this.
What I am inquiring about is this:Do I need to create an "if statement" in the next/back button code telling Flash that if the user clicks on the next/back button while on the "main menu" frame, to stop the FLV also?

I know how to create the slideshow, I'm just not sure how to maximize the quality and keep the file small. The original was created as a .wmv and then converted to .flv. I have heard that creating the slideshow in flash using vector images is the way to get the best quality. So, my questions are:
1. How do I convert a jpeg to a vector image? Can I do this in photoshop?

Jan 25, 2012I'm developing a web app using Flex. This app allows to draw forms in a Canvas (like MSPaint in Windows).Now, I want a new feature on it: an infinite canvas. The user should be able to drag the main Canvas and this should be infinite in X and Y axis. Consecuently, this Canvas should be resized in real time.
Obviously, I don't want to create a Canvas of 1k x 1k pixels with zoom in an specific area to give the feeling of an infinite drawing area.
EDIT:I just read that Flash/Flex Flash/Air supports canvases up to 4056x4056 px, not infinite.

Jun 19, 2009I have to create an animation involving a big fast zoom with a little rotation and animating it on the timeline just doesn't cut it.I start with state 1 (see attached file state11.jpg) where there is an animation and then I want a fast smooth zoom until I reach State 2 (see attached file state2.jpg). In the first state the "map" occupies the entire screen, but when it reaches state 2 the map is inside a mask and the other elements will start appearing.how to create this zoom smoothly with actionscript? I am really lost here and I know somethings about actionscript but I just cannot do this and my timing is today...

Jun 7, 2004i've made a button that zooms into a movie clip on a rollover, but it on moves it a certain amount each time you rollover the button. code below:

wot i want it to do is to continue zooming in for as long as the mouse is over the button, is there anyway i can change the code to zoom in at the same amount but do it continuously until the mouse is moved off the button. Also is there anyway that i can set it so that the zoom stops at a certain percentage, i.e. it only zooms in so much and then stops. What i mean is that the user can zoom in but the picture will only zoom in to say 200% of the original size.

My goal is to move around the scene and zoom-in or zoom-out I found that if I move scene, I have to move registration point, because I always want to zoom in the centre of my ocular. So far application works fine only if I move, zoom-in and than before I move any further, zoom-out! But when I move, zoom-in (not fully), move again and zoom-in again, the second zooming doesn't appear on desirable registration point
