I am trying to improve the quality of the slideshow displayed on this website[url]... My knowledge of flash is pretty limited. I know how to create the slideshow, I'm just not sure how to maximize the quality and keep the file small. The original was created as a .wmv and then converted to .flv. I have heard that creating the slideshow in flash using vector images is the way to get the best quality. So, my questions are:
1. How do I convert a jpeg to a vector image? Can I do this in photoshop?
2. How do I convert the .swf file to .flv without losing quality?
how to have 4 or 5 images continuing or looping at the top of a web page, no thumb nails just the images changing. This is the site I'm working on [URL], you better see what I'm trying to do.
I want to create a slideshow of 5 images, with black fade effect in between. So from black to image to black to the next image and so on. Then it stops on the last image. I dont want any buttons or any interactions.
Previously I've done all the monkeywork by hand on the timeline, but now I need to make an automated slideshow for an image portfolio that collects pictures from an external folder (1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, etc...) so I can just upload variants of the image without having to change the flash file each time.
I'm also hoping to include fading transitions and an easy way to change the amount of time each image is on screen.
I am wondering if anybody can tell me how to create a picture PUSH. I have three images that I wish to work with. By pushing I mean having an image come in from the left (or right) and place itself on top of the other (or pushing the other out of view). Like a slide show of three images scrolling along but one stops for a brief period before the other image comes into view.
i have a question about text in a slideshow. i know how to make a basic photo slideshow with external images. but now what i want to do is add 4-5 paragraphs of text next to each photo (with possible scrolling). the text will be different on each photo.
I am only perfect with basics of AS3 and flash. I need AS3 code or a basic example/tutorial for loading of .jpeg images into flash from database.I had searched through google, but, any of the example won't match. If anyone has their ideas, atleast send me the algorithm for your idea, so that i can try by implementing the idea. I think, once again when I open this topic, i will be getting my requirement.
I have two images on my flash stage (A camera image and a scenery image) The idea is that the camera is in front of the scenery. The problem is although both images are on my stage the camera is completely transparent and looks wrong . How can I set the cannon image transparency so that it is a solid image on top of the background image.
I have a combo-box on the stage with a few items in the combo-box and also have corresponding JPEG/PNG image files. I need to display the appropriate image onto the stage based on the selection of the item in the combo-box. So, please I need ActionScript code or procedure to handle this using Event-Handling mechanism of MouseEvent.
I am using this code Code: loadMovie(filename1.swf,_root.location1); To load an external swf into my movie. That external swf is a 'loader' for some JPEG images.
The external swf (filename1.swf) contains four empty movie clips, and this code Code: loadMovie("IS.JPG",inviteb); loadMovie("PLS.JPG",placeb); loadMovie("RSS.JPG",rsvpb); loadMovie("TYS.JPG",thankyoub); loadMovie("main.jpg",main);
The idea here is that (filename1.swf) can be placed in any directory with images bearing those names, then be called upon to display the images in that directory into my flash page. The problem is that it doesn't load the images. I am sure it is because it doesn't know what container to load them into, because of the nesting. But I don't know what location to use.
I have tried Code: _root.main _level0.main _level0.location1.main _root.location1.main but none of those work.
to the first frame of the movie which contains an empty mc "imagenes_mc" which should load a diferent JPEG each time someone gets into the website.
Thing is: ON my published swf nothing happens with that code and on the output windown i get "1120: Acess of undefined property mages_mc" and also "1180: Call to a possible undefined method random"
I have an AS3 swf which users can upload jpg images to my EC2 instances which sit behind and Elastic Load Balancer. The jpg images are converted into bytearray data and sent using URLLoader.load(URLRequest)I make 2 calls when uploading, one to upload a large version, then another to upload a thumbnail version. A PHP script to which the bytearray data is uploaded converts this to a file using file_put_contents($destination,$GLOBALS["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"])Is it possible to combine these two requests into a single request which contains both the bytearray data for the large and thumbnail images and 'split' the HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA to create 2 files at the server. This would be better than uploading the bytearray for the large version then using something like ImageMagick to resize the resulting image into a thumbnail which I realise is another option.
I have an project that when you enter a certain number and click a ''enter'' button, it send you to an image (forest picture, desert picture, town picture, etc). In these pictures, I've hidded some object. In exemple, in the forest picture, there's some blue birds, red birds, green birds, etc. I want people to find them and click on them to get some information about these birds. The thing is that these birds are hidden. When I open my picture with windows viewer, i can zoom-in and find them with the little hand toolso everything is fine cause I can find them. The problem is that when I export my project as an animation, we can't find the birds because we cant's zoom in. My question is, is there a way to zoom-in these images and navigate trought them (with the little hand tool) like we can do with windows viewer? Or is there a way to just Zoom-in my animation?
I want to do a zoom in/out effect on images. I am using caurina to scale the images everythign is working fine but it always scales for the rigstration point of the movie clip which in this case is top left.
Is there any way to zoom from the point the user clicks the image using caurina?
i have a simple xml/flash portfolio script (similar to the one in the xml/flash) tutorial and the problem is my pics are not uniform in size.this is probbaly an easy problem but how would i get flash to create a mc getting the size from either the xml (manually put it in the xml) or automatically get it from the jpeg??
We're trying to implement a smooth distortion free pan and zoom similar to the pan and zoom slide show in Windows Vista. I'm using the Tween class for the animation. For zoom I'm tweening the _width property then setting _yscale equal to _xscale in the change event. In parallel, I'm tweening the _x and _y position for the pan motion. I've set the quality to highest, the cache bitmap property to true, and the FPS on the Stage to 30. Still, the images show lots of wavy, shimmery distortion on every redraw. The start and destination rectangles for the images is known up front. I tried just tweening the _xscale but that doesn't translate well when you're targeting specific rectangles. Maybe there's some other completey different way to do it I haven't ran across?
does anyone know the best way to go about creating a flash movie that lets you click a button to dynamically create a JPEG screen shot of the movie. i looked around and found a thread close to what i am looking for but it was done in AS3.
how would one go about replicating it or something similar. I like the way the images transition between each other and the hover over zoom effect. [URL] Is there any tutorial on how to achieve something like this or close to it?
I would like to intergrate 6 pictures in my AS 2 website, that uses XML, but i cannot manage to do anything. I added a flash magazine, but what it only does, is keeping my website loading hard and jerky. so i wanted to put a simple gallery with 6 images, and zoom so the user can read the newspapers images well, like 200% zoom so the text would be visible to the viewer. When it clicks on any of the pictures or a separate button, the newspaper image goes zoomed like 200% and, when the mouse is out the image zooms out, or click on the separate button and the image zooms out as its initial state.
I've created a world map in flash and I want to code an ActionScript so that if I click on a country the map, it should zoom into it and show some information beside the country.
I dont know how to start it. A sample could be better.
Please let me know if you know any good step by step turial site.
Find the pic here for reference : ASIA
I have added the ASIA part which i have created. When i click on India, it should zoom into it.
I have to create an image zoom and pan. The problem is that I have to set some boundaries for my pan to stop when the image is finished. Here is my source code.
I'm trying to create flash app where a single jpeg (person headshot) is loaded into the masked movieclip (same size as passport photo) (using loadMovie), then user can edit the image (drag inside mask, zoom, rotate) and then after pressing a button the app duplicates the EDITED image 4 times - to make sort of headshot sheet.
While I know how to load movie, drag single clip or scale it, I have no idea how to duplicate the movieclip once is edited, to make identical copies of it (scaled, rotated...)If I use duplicateMovieClip it won't work since it won't duplicate the loaded image.
