ActionScript 2.0 :: How To Hide Mouse Right Click Menu

Oct 31, 2008

Is there a way to hide the right mouse click pop-up (settings & about flashplayer x). The swf i use is placed in HTML refering to two other pages with some java games. The problem is that this is running at a science center in a browser fullscreen. But people may not open a new window/tab (this happens when you click on "about flashplayer x). I found this: [URL] but is there something similar in AS2? I can use JS.

Flex :: Menu Control - Click A Button And A Menu Is Displayed. Click That Button A Second Time And Hide That Menu?

Jun 20, 2010

Basically, I have a button and on click it displays a menu. I want to click that menu a second time and the menu closes. Currently, every time you click the button, the menu reopens. I pasted the Flex livedoc example below. If you click the button, the menu keeps reopening.Now, I rigged it up by setting a var to open and closed, so when clicking the button it does a check. However, if you click away from the screen, the HIDE event gets dispatched, and the menu closes. This messed up the open close var being set.

How could I make this Flex example below show the menu on button click, and then on a second button click, it closes the menu? Take into affect that if you click away from the menu, it closes it.Also, I played around with the MOUSE_DOWN_OUTSIDE event for the button and set the preventDefault, and the FlexMouseEvent event.cancelable is set to false.Changing to a PopUpMenuButton is not an option. I have to much skinning involved.Here is the Flex example:

<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
// Import the Menu control.
import mx.controls.Menu;

ActionScript 3.0 :: Pop-up Menu With Mouse Event On Click?

Jan 3, 2010

I am new to Flash and trying to create something that may be simple, but am getting tripped up on.My issue is I have a navigation bar with text. When I mouseover one of the links, I would like a "pop-up" menu to appear. And from there, a CLICK event on them would bring me to a main-timeline frame.

How I went about to test this was I created a rectangle on the first frame of the main timeline, I converted that to a button. On the fifth frame of the main timeline I named the frame. Going into the button now, on the 'OVER' keyframe in its' timeline, I inserted more rectangles to form the pop-up menu. Now, I then converted the first rectangle to a movieclip that I want to on a CLICK goTo the 5th frame of the main timeline.

When I use the usual AS3 code in the actions panel of the movieclip with a basic CICK event, this error appears;

1120: Access of undefined property 'name of movie clip that links to fifth frame'.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Mouse.hide() Error 1061: Call To A Possibly Undefined Method Hide Through A Reference With Static Type Class

Sep 12, 2011

I am using AS 3 Flash CS4, WIndows XP SP3. I am unable to use the Mouse.hide(); method in many of my scripts. If I add Mouse.hide() to a preexisting script, I get the following error; line1 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method hide through a reference with static type Class. If I add Mouse.hide():void; to a preexisting script, I get the following error: line1 Label must be a simple identifier Once this has happened, if I then remove ALL lines of script from the file...but leave the Mouse.hide(); [or Mouse.hide():void;], and also remove all objects from the stage, when I run the file, I still get those same errors.

ActionScript 3.0 :: When Mouse Down On The Menu And Then Drag The Mouse Off Of The Menu AND Off Of The Stage, I.e The SWF (whilst In Mouse Down) And Then Mouse Up Completely Off Of The Stage?

Jun 24, 2010

I have designed a menu that When you mouse over it, a custom cursor appears. When you mouse down it disappears and when you mouse up it returns. If you happen to mouse down and then drag the mouse off of the menu (whilst in mouse down) and then mouse up outside the menu, the custom cursor disappears. All good. The only issue is: If you happen to mouse down on the menu and then drag the mouse off of the menu AND off of the stage, i.e the SWF (whilst in mouse down) and then mouse up completely off of the stage, the custom cursor appears at the point it left the menu. I have tried to fix this using MOUSE_LEAVE but this dosnt work when the mouse button is pressed down. I have attached an FLA, SWF and the AS below.

Code:
stop();
import com.greensock.*;
import com.greensock.easing.*;
import flash.events.MouseEvent;

Current situation: Using ActionScript 2. The FLV component fills the stage. Autohide is set to true.

It looks to me that since the video fills the stage, the skin will not hide. What I would like to do is have the skin fade out if the mouse doesnt move for a certain period of time.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Show / Hide Sub Menu Using Array

Apr 12, 2010

I'm trying to show and hide a sub menu. So what I want to do is for the sub menu to show up and stay up if certain buttons are clicked, but disappear if other buttons are clicked. I've got an array of the sub menu. If any of the buttons are clicked from the sub menu array, it should stay.

var subMenu:Boolean=false;
This is my sub menu array:
var arrSub:Array=[m8_mcButton,m9_mcButton,m10_mcButton,m11_mcButton,m12_m cButton,m13_mcButton,m14_mcButton];

When a button is clicked, I want to check to see if the sub menu is showing and to check which button has been clicked. This is the code I came up with, but unfortunately, doesn't work...

function onButtonClick(e:MouseEvent):void {
for (i=0; i<arrSub.length; i++) {
if (subMenu && e.currentTarget!=arrSub[i]) {
arrSub[i].y=-130;
subMenu=false;
}}

ActionScript 3.0 :: Click To Open Menu Then Click To Close?

Sep 28, 2011

I've got a drop down menu. I want to click a tab to make it drop then, if it's open, click it again to close. I've tried a million variations on the script below:

var btn_grp1:String
function main1Down(event:MouseEvent):void {
if (btn_grp1 != "dwn") {

[Code]....

This works too (once). So the drop down buttons all disapear again, but it won't re-set. The drop down menu stays up from then on.

BTW i'm not set on this method, it just seemed the most obvious i.e. if menu hidden, then show it, set some variable to down (showing), else hide the menu, set var to up (hidden). Not working though.
