ActionScript 2.0 :: Insert Simple Line Between Scaled Thumbnails?
Apr 22, 2010
I have a simple gallery that pull photos from folders, dislays thumbnails and then when user clicks on a thumbnail it displays larger image. Here is a link to a gallery[url]...
Bellow is action script for flash. where I need to insert this line creation in script and what command I need to insert? I would like to control the line color since I might play around what is the best color.[code]...
i verified kirupa's thumbnail generating tutorial i did it, but all the images are creating in a single row i need the 4th image to be placed down of the 1st image and 7th image to be place down of 4th image.
I've finished my flash file. I created it with Flash CS3. I didn't use any scripting, dynamic stuff, etc.. It's a simple flash movie of vectors/tweening.I want to insert it in my homepage, but when I publish it, I get quite a lot of code. I've been looking around & I see some sites that have all this javascript & some that don't.Could someone help me identify the correct way to embed my .swf file? I'm not a fan of .js since it doesn't work if it's turned off in a user's browser. I want my .swf file to play as long as the visitor has Flash 8 or higher installed. And if they don't, I want to display a .png instead.[code]
produce some very simple checkboxes to insert into an elearning program.The Checkboxes he created before he left are apparently overly complex and refer to _root and/or _level0, which is a no-no for the elearning software.I've done some web searches to see what I can find but honestly I haven't felt this stumped since first year calculus.
I'm trying to create the simple photo gallery with thumbnails which is in the tutorial Adding Thumbnails, but I'm having a bit of a problem. I've just done the Photo Gallery Using XML and Flash tutorial [URL] which worked perfectly . I've then gone on to the Adding Thumbnails tutorial, [URL] which follows on.I've been working my way throught the tutorial, but when I get to point ix. on page three, I don't get the thumbnails loading at all. I have checked, and double checked the code I have, and I've copied the code from the tutorial assuming that this is right, but nothing appears to work.I'm using Flash MX, not MX 2004.
what is the syntax for a line break in flash. I have an array with a large amount of text and within the text i want to insert a break to make it go to the next line.
I have created a gallery with thumbnails (using various tutorials) howver the thumbnails all load on one line.. I would like to able to brake up the thumbnails so that after say 4 tbm load the next 4 will go below I have tried various methods. Here is my script
images = new Array (); xml_file = ("Gallery/Range/images.xml"); //xml_file = "images.xml"; xmlload = new XML ();
I'm trying to create a simple slide gallery with one main canvas + thumbnails.Usually the main canvas has auto slide feature.Users can choose the picture on main canvas from thumbnails.When the mouse is over thumbnails I want Canvas to stop auto slide show until that mouse is outside of thumbnails.So I start creating this, and I finish coding for auto slide show and choosing picture from thumbnails. Now I need to code if the mouse is on the thumbnail then temporary stop auto slide show.I thought the right way is to write the code like this,[code]but when I do this, the timer won't stop.
Who knows how to get this kinda menu: [URL] to only display a certain number of items per line? (I'm referring to flash file down the page a little that says "Choose Thumbnail" on it. The source code for this flash file can be found on page 2 of this tutorial)
As you can see, it currently has 4 thumbnail images, and all 4 of them are displayed on 1 line. But what if I wanted to tell Flash to only put 3 per line (thus 3 on the first line and 1 on the second). This thumbnail image menu is dynamically loading data from XML, so if I wanted to add more images to the XML file, I wouldn't want these extra images added to the same line as they would run off the page! I need them to load under the existing ones..
Is there a way to insert a horizontal line after a certain number of rows, which may be variable depending upon a property in data provider of a datagrid?
I have flash CS4 and some time ago made a simple movieclip in an older version of flash.I now want to make a simple gallery with thumbnails that show a larger image once you hover over the thumbnail.[URL]I forgot most of the workings in flash, so it's difficult to make what I want.
I have a file uploader that uses a file reference list (FRL) to upload files. However what I want to do is use the FRL to display all the images/files that were selected and then display them in either a list, or photo gallery. I would lean more towards the photo gallery approach but I don't know how to dynamically lay out the thumbnails properly.
What's the best way to display the thumbnails in rows 3 pictures wide and then skip down a line etc.Now ofcourse I don't know how many files will be selected so my next question would be can I draw the thumbnail gallery in a seperate container (or frame sort of like in VB) and then have that container have it's own scroll bars?
[AS] onClipEvent (load) { loadText = new LoadVars();[code]...........
As i could read on macromedia 's web site: Use an empty pair of <P></P> tags to insert a line break. Use two pairs to insert a line break and carriage return.But this isn't working... Why?
I created a rigged character in Flash Prof. CS 5.5 that has a mouth that moves when the user types letters. Is there any way I can insert a line of code that will simulate the user hitting a key and thus trigger the functions that I have already written?
myNews=<FONT COLOR="#FFFFFF"><B>This is bold 24 point text</B><P></P><P></P>blah blah</FONT>

I have a number of sphere's which have random x, y and z values.I thought it would now be simple to create a vector with the x,y,z coordinates on the spheres I want to connect and that would be that.However the vectors remain in the 2D plain.
i'm new to actionscripting so bear with me on this:
i've been using motion tweens to create simple movement animations and i'm looking to reduce the size of my movie - can anyone suggest a simple tutorial on how to achieve a simple left to right movement of a line using actionscritping? [URL]
I have simple black line on white. It needs to crack like a whip. And it needs to recoil nicely. I'm not sure if top-notch tweening would do the trick. Or maybe a dense 'Inverse Kinematics' bone structure. Or if actionscript is the best course. I'm using a pen-tool/bezier-curved line right now and trying to shape tween with hints? I've never been bad at math, but I'm not a programmer and it's been a while.
I'm trying to make a simple for loop that makes a line move. But it won't work, and when i search for "for loop" it gives me all these dynamic things that are WAY over my head.[code]The way i see it, the i should increase by 1 each time the loop is run, and then the line will move up by 1 until it is at x = 0 (it starts at x = -77). But when i preview it in flash and html, nothing happens at all.
how could i (least painfully) insert text into first line of multiline textfield so that it looks like textfield actually hasnt moved vertically, like text has been inserted into line before first one?
i want to make a line with mouse movement and with bnlur effect i also want to save those point to reproduce that, i know how to make simple line with mouse and also able to reproduce it with the save point but not able to do blur effect with it
i have few button to let user click and the symbol will insert into the input text. i change my input box to 'symbol' but i facing the problem that i can't insert character other than symbol...
Haven't been here for a while and I'm really rusty using Flash. I looking for a tutorial or some information on how to scroll thumbnails by scrolling the mouse left or right over the thumbnails.
I'm wondering, is it possible to access shape data with actionscript. I want to draw simple lines with "line tool"somewhere in my movieclip and then to access information about my lines with actionscript to get startX, startY and endX endY of every line.
I used the tutorial "Adding Thumbnails" to build a fotoshow. Adding another xml-file I have the problem,that I cannot reload(?) the thumbnails correctly.[code]Then I do not see any thumbnails,if(!) the new thumbnail list contains fewer elements than the old one and if the old thumbnail list was scrolled over the hit_right field before.It is seemingly necessary to reset the internal state of the movieclip. But how can I accompish that?
