ActionScript 2.0 :: Loading Text Inside A Loaded SWF?

I have my MAIN FLASH WEBSITE that loads a PROFILE section which is a separate SWF file.Inside the profile.swf, I have the sub nav button 'experience' dynamically pulling a text file into my text box.If you view the 'profile.swf' file alone, the text is being pulled fine.However, If you view the MAIN FLASH WEBSITE, choose 'Profile' link, then 'Experience' Link. The text box DOES load the text, but you can't SEE it. You can tell it is loading the text files because the scroll bar becomes active, and I can cut and paste the invisible text into my notepad program.Why is my text invisible?Here is my Sub navigation code for the 'experience' button located on 'profile.swf':

I have a class that loads data from a text file and puts it into an array called tdv.importedTxtArray (public var).In a separate class i have written [code]The infoArray does not then contain the imported text however because tdv.importedTxtArray is not given its popper contents until about 1/2 a second after the tdvLoader class executes (i.e: when Event.COMPLETE is run and the array is populated with strings from the external text file). Subsequently in the code above infoArray is set to a blank array.How can i get the code in my separate class to ''wait' until tdv.importedTxtArray is properly populated before accessing it.

I have a movieClip in the library with the linkage Class name as "LinkClass". I can make it appear on the stage, but there's a dynamic text box inside that is called "linkText" that I can't seem to get working. Here's the code:

when I press a button, the text loads into the still visible imageArea_mc text area.When a button is clicked, I have external swfs which contain 2 dynamic text boxes, named heading_txt and content_txt, loading into my main movie. They are receiving their data dynamically from an XML file. The problem I am having is that as soon as the button is clicked, the new data loads into the still visible text boxes. What I want to do (I think) is somehow tell the main movie to assign the appropriate text for each individual movie.

This question relates to the gallery that I'm working on; basically, I am now trying to add text comments which change according to which button you press to the images. I know how to make this work by applying actionscript to each individual button, but I would like to put all of the actionscript on one layer, meaning that I would have to use the 'button.onRelease = function ()' operation instead of the 'on (release) { function" operation.The code is a variation of Kirupa's code for the tutorial on loading information from an XML, and the xml is his completely. I have a simple Google Maps API with external data loaded from XML file (location, lat, long, info etc.). I also have a custom marker as a MovieClip (marker_mc), which works fine, but I want to add a Dynamic Text Field (label_txt) to this MovieClip and load a simple data (<label>) to it from same XML file (distribubtion.xml), so as a result every location would have it's own label on the marker.I know how flash loads XML data, but what I don't know is how to include that in Google Maps API (if it's even possible).

I have a flash code where i am loading an AS 2 SWF inside AS 3. The thing is if i put the AS 2 SWF on same domain its working fine but if i put AS 2 SWF on different domain it loads the SWF properly but the "stop()" written inside the AS 2 frame doesnt work... and it keeps on playing all the frames continuously...

When I create a TLF text area that is editable at runtime (which means that it can get a user input at runtime) I set the text direction to the 'right-to-left' definition in both the 'container and flow' and the 'paragraph' sections and set the language for Arabic or Hebrew at the 'locale' setting. I also set the text alignment to the 'align to start' mode. Now at runtime there's a stange thing. When I try to click with the mouse cursor on the editable TLF text-box, it's not displaying the text icon cursor and don't allow me to insert text inside.
But when I move my mouse cursor over the right side of the editable TLF text box, it change his appearance to the familiar text cursor which indicate that if you click here you will be able to insert text input inside. So my problem is how can I make it that only when I will hover over the TLF text box itself, the mouse cursor will be changed to text cursor icon and when I will hover beside its right side, it will remain at the normal cursor mode.

I have a website up at [URL]. The thing is that I have flv files being loaded by swfs that are loaded on a movieclip of a main swf. Locally everything works fine but as soon as I move it up the web or even try to run in over my home network, the flv files won't run. Can the flv run inside a swf that is loaded into another swf? I have set the paths to relative already, this taking into account the main swf!
Something like this:
loaded_swf_folder/flv_folder/flv_file.flv
If I didn't take the main swf into account it would look like this:
flv_folder/flv_file.flv
But I tried this already and it didn't work at all. Except if you run one of the loaded swf directly instead of through the main swf.

I have an AS3 swf which loads and external AS2 swf. Inside the AS2 swf i have the following code which fetches the flashvars passed through html.

When i run the AS2 SWF independently passing the param through HTML. It works fine.But when i load the AS2 swf inside AS3 swf. It is not able to fetch the flashvars, which is strange cz if i load the AS2 SWF inside another AS2 swf it works fine. how should i fetch the flashvars inside the loaded AS2 SWF.

I'm working with several videos each inside their own movieclips. When I click my forward button to jump to the next video I get the second video playing over the first one especially towards the end part of the first video. I can play and stop the movies just fine but it's the gotoAndPlay that's causing me problems right now with forwarding and rewinding clips.

I have two swf, one loads the other using a Loader class, in the loaded swf I have a NetConnection object which I need to access from the host swf, but I can't, if I debug the app, I see the obejct is there, but I can't access it, if I try to set a variable likeloadedSWF = connectorLoader.content (connectorLoader is the Loader object)loadedSWF is always nullIf I debig the app, I see the NetConnection in the loaded SWF, but I can't have access to it, I have try to use Security.allowDomain("*") in both swf to be sure, but nothing, I thought that only doing the allowDomain method I will have access to the loaded SWF objects

I'm using loadMovie to load in an external SWF file. I'm looking to call a function called setText() inside of this swf. I can get to the function by doing this:

This is a webpage, where I use a modified gallery from tutorial (xml galllery with thumbs).This place is where I align picture movieclip in the center of area (which is also a mask).Sometimes, action clip doesn't get image _width and _height and load a picture with it's left upper corner in the center of mask movieclip. I'm pulling text from an xml file into a dynamic text field and I need to highlight the text one paragraph at a time depending on where the timeline playhead is. I was thinking of doing this by changing the color of the text but I don't know how to do it inside the CDATA tags.At the moment one CDATA populates one text field.Another option is that there would be a movie clip behind the text that would jump to highlight a specific paragraph but then I would need to know how much vertical space each paragraph takes.
