I`m trying to build a navigation that displays all the days of a month in a single row. The days should be loaded calling its specific month array. How can I set actions to the itens in the array so I could load an external swf?
View 3 RepliesOn the DateChooser component, it shows the days for only the current month... but i'd like to show some of the previous month's days and some of the next month's days.Is there a property to set on the DateChooser component to show 42 days. I mean, to show some of the previous month's days + the current month's days + some of the next month's days. I'm not sure what this is called...If you look at a typical month calendar, for example for June 2011 it shows:

Is there a property that I've overlooked which shows some of the days from the prev. month and next month in the current month view? Or would I need to extend the DateChooser component and override a method?

I want to build a Flash app that displays content from various RSS and XML feeds.Rather than import the whole data from the different feeds straight from the url into Flash (which would take forever anyway) I'm thinking of using a MySQL database to first import the numerous data feeds and then in Flash call a server side script to retreive only the data I need.
This way only data requested is loaded into flash, which is a requirement since I intend to make the flash app available on mobiles as a flashlite app - it keeps the app light and not demanding on network traffic which will ultimately cost money.
I will need to run the import periodically, perhaps once per hour.I'm not interested in building up an archive of the data since it is time specific and will be out of date, so I intend to clear out data as it expires, perhaps with a daily script.
I'm trying to make a navigation with 8 buttons, each represent a year and I want that initially there is one selected and highlighted and then everytime the user clicks on a different button the selected one will be highlighted and the previous one selected will be back in normal state (on/off).[code]...

It is FP10. I'm using CS3 and FlashDevelop. When I right click on my Flash file, it does indeed display FP10. Same with Flex.

In TFS 2010 build, I have a new build and I want to call an ant script that builds Flash. How do I call the ant script? Also How can I compile the Flash directly? I've seen the Power Tools and this question but it doesn't help me as we don't have TFS 2008. I can't find any documentation on how to use the power tools except the 1 sentence on the bottom of download page saying to create your build the old way and import it (which isn't very helpful). I've installed the power tools on the agent computer but I don't see any new options in the Toolbox when I'm designing the build flow.
View 2 RepliesI just started working with ant a few days ago. Right now I have a general buildall.xml which should call each project's build.xml. Because some projects depend on each other, I need to rebuild some other projects which depend on it. This isn't a problem--I'm just setting the depends property of the target. However, ant is always building the dependencies, even when the files haven't changed.Let's say project1 has no dependencies; project2 depends on project1; project3 depends on project1, 2; project4 depends on project1, 2, and 3; and so on.I could hack a solution which looks at project K, and checks if project 1 .. project K have updated files using uptodate. If so, then run the target. This is messy and appears unnecessary.
What is the cleanest way to implement this?EDIT: So I decided to just hack in a bunch of targets, "check_projectK" where it does the uptodate checks on all of its source files, its build file, and the build files of the 1 .. K-1 projects. Due to dependencies, this is always handled correctly. However, this is still a large amount of copy and paste for a large workspace.
Using FDT, when I have a debug configuration with several operations in the launcher chain and the final launcher opens in Flash Player, how can I retrieve the build output from the console once the build is complete and Flash player is running?
It seems that once Flash Player has started the console clears to make way for the application's trace output, but I need to be able to look back over the events and build times for each item in my launch chain while Flash Player is running. Is there a setting I can enable to either log my build output to a file or to preserve it in the console?
Edit: I know I can still read the info when building normally, this question is specifically for building with the debugger.

i have a big assignment to schedule in the end of the month/ i've made a game which made of pictures and videos (flv), and when i've inserted the third flv movie i tried to test my project. and when i have exported it, it reaches the end and just doing nothing: no errors, no file, just nothing. my project is on 1920X1080 resolution, i have 23 videos of 10 seconds each, that i need to insert, and the quality is 1500 bits.the first two inserted movies succeeded, but from the third and above, nothing happend.

This works fine. However, I am attempting to change the targetDate by retrieving the last day of the month and counting down to that. Right now it counts to christmas. I know how to get the last day of the month through PHP, so I was thinking I could send the variables to the flash document and somehow replace 11,25 with $n (which is the month variable in my php) ,$lastday .

In my site I need to have the date available for viewers. I know how to display the date of the user and I would like to create an onion skin animation for each separate chatacter(yes, I know how to create an onion skin animation but not how to do it separate for each character). My problem is this: I want to display the name of the month, not the number. Now I want each character animated separately in the date animation. for example:
S would appear with an onion skin animation, then about a quarter second later all the other characters with the same animation, E, P, T, E, M, B, E, R, [space], 2, 4, [space], 2, 0, 0, 2. How can I code actionscript so that I can do this with the user's date? Sorry for my lack of description, its late and I can't think well.
I am using this code to get the months off of the users computer and it then highlights what ever day it is, also it is dynamic. However what if I would like to call up a just july or just november. I know how to make arrows that get the next month in the sequence but my question is could I change the script to just get a month of my choosing?

Setting the month directly to February via setMonth(1) actually sets the month to March.
Here's the code in question:

That will trace "2" in the output. Setting the month to 0.9 will output "0", and setting the month to 1.1 will still output "2". It seems all other months are fine, except this one.
Is there any Flex control to select months (any)? Right now I'm using a DateField and allow the user to select any date in a month to select that month.

The user may change the Month/Year but there is no point in choosing a date for the month as it is going to show the entire month anyways. View 1 RepliesI have five images on five different frames in my example. I always want to display the first two images (frames 1 and 2), but only show 3, 4 or 5 depending on the current month.
If it is January, I want to display frame 3 and then loop back around to frames 1 and 2. If February, frame 4 and loop back to frames 1 and 2, etc.
Right now I'm just testing it with a "4" for the month hard-coded in and it just plays the whole slideshow.

I am trying to find a way to use the date object to check the day of the month. If is the 23rd then play if not, do nothing. I looked at the date countdown tutorial, but I don't need to display the information just check the date. even if I hid the countdown info, once I hit the 23rd I am out of luck till the first of the next month, the "alarm" stays. Think of what I need as a date alarm, if it is the 23rd the alrm goes off, if it is not, then it is business as usual (this is tied into an analog clock that is supposed to have a monthly reminder for the 23rd). Getting the clock to work was cake, but I just can't get this "alarm" to work for me.
