ActionScript 2.0 :: Making An FLV Player - Adding Timeline And Fullscreen Options?

I am in the process of making my first FLV player in Flash CS4, for videos I plan to upload on my site. The play/pause/rewind buttons seem simple enough. However, I have searched and can't find-a timeline 'duration' that tells how many minutes have been played and how many total there are-a fullscreen button that toggles full/not fullscreen in the browser-if possible, some way to manipulate the timeline (e.g. drag the cursor forward to make the movie skip ahead)or explain to me how to do thisAs I said, I have searched for the above and found the play/pause/rewind tutorials but no timeline/fullscreen ones.

I got a problem while making a fullscreen enabled flv player.I developed a player which will got to fullscreen but the problem comes when the monitor is wide. There comes blanh space left and in the right side of the video.
my code is like this

I am having trouble with an embedded audio clip. (embedded in the timeline) First, the reason for embedding.... I need the audio (voice over) to correspond to the on Stage animations, and have words and animations appear when certain keywords are spoken. Second, here is what I have tried...
1) I have tried to embed the audio clip directly on the timeline. The audio file I am using is an MP3 created out of Garage Band. (Mac audio program) When I embed the clip, and publish a preview, it nearly crashes Flash Player. The audio continues to play, but all on screen animations are severely slowed and choppy. And I must force quit Flash Player to close it. Plus it is nearly maxing out my CPU during playback.
2) I removed the audio clip from the timeline, and decided to try AS3 to import and control playback of the audio clip. This seemed to work fine, no slowdown, less CPU usage, and on screen animations seemed to play normally. However, it is nearly impossible to sync the audio and on Stage animations with an externally loaded audio clip. (timing is always different depending on computer and internet speed.)

I am currently working on a project that embeds a flash game, that uses Smartfoxserver for the flash communication. That communication is mostly just synchronizing the cursor and object movements between the two players.Since I am not a flash guy, but a ruby programmer, I got curious: What kind of communication options does flash offer for this kind of time sensitive data exchange? I was thinking of writing a ruby-eventmachine based communication server to minimize the dependencies on external programs.

I am trying to make the SIMPLEST POSSIBLE MP# player using the player component preinstalled in flash.It is very simple, the code is as follows:

("player" is the mp3 component)
This works if I want a single track to be selected and played.Now, I need it to AUTOMATICALLY LOAD THE NEXT TRACK, which I will input in the code.I am thinking something like this:

But this is not working.
PS: I know an XML file would be the best here, but I don't want to use it. I just want to enter the next track's code inside the swf.

Im building a program that queries a database for options and displays the options in a number of comboBoxes. The comboBoxes are dynamically built and loaded via code and added to the stage. I would like to build the comboBoxes into a single movie clip (maybe not the correct wording) so I can use options like tweening and such to make it look better. The code is below.

I'm working on a Flash video slideshow (which you can preview here). I would like to be able to make it so you can click a button (I've got one made in the doc already) that will make just the video on each "slide" go full screen, similar to how you can do so with other videos on sites like YouTube and others.
While what I've linked to above is just a template I'm messing with, I'd like to be able to have a video on the right, let's say, with text on the left, and then be able to click a button (perhaps under the video that says "full screen) and have the video that is there fill the whole window and play.

I'm making a fullscreen button for my mmog. It has a draggable menu bar which can be moved up and down a certain height.But when i use fullscreen, the draggable menu cannot go down low enough.I even use Stage.width, but that doesnt do anything. It only supplies me with the width of the movie which was declared in the HTML file.

When you go fullscreen with their video, the bottom video controls and the top social media bar aren't scaled. They adjust themselves in width, but the text and button graphics remain the same size.Now, I've had success with a method where, when the FULLSCREEN event is invoked, I downsize my interface elements by a ratio equal to the difference between my SWF size and the screen size, essentially keeping the interface at a constant size in both modes. However, all text and graphics inside those elements are distorted or blurred when I do this.

I'm creating a presentation in Flash that will be projected onto a large screen. I'm using fscommand("fullscreen", true) to make it fullscreen. Since I don't know in advance what type of playback monitor will be used, apparently there may be some issue with the monitor ratio not being 4:3 which would make it widescreen. I was told to make sure the animation etc extends beyond the Stage frame so that it accommodates widescreen but I'm not sure how to do this - I mean how do you know how far beyond the stage to extend things? Since I don't have access to the playback monitor I can't test on it and the presentation will eventually be put onto a CD ROM where viewers may have all types of monitors.

My boss wants me to implement a full screen option in our player. I can easily make a button to activate the full screen mode but can figure out how to make it change to a 'full screen exit' button once full screen is activated.

So I've been assigned to create a custom flash video player. I followed a good tutorial by Lee Brimelow and went far with the project, until I've hit a dead end - fullscreen function for the video itself. I would simply want to add a fullscreen toggle button that doesn't scale my whole scene, but only the video container (videos are loaded from xml via tree component), while preferably keeping the controls visible.I'm really hard pressed here, since I have to finish by tomorrow, but I really can't see making any progress without some guidance, even if I pull an allnighter.

So I'm building a flash presentation and one slide has video. I have a flv component on the stage and the user wants the video to initially appear at a smaller size and then to click on it to launch the movie in fullscreen and to play. The playing is no problem but it doesn't want to launch fullscreen.Code below:

I have a really annoying bug with the Flash player. When I go into fullscreen then an image of the normal-sized flash player flashes up momentarily in the top left-hand corner of the player.It's really ugly and I can't seem to find a quick fix to get round this. The only answers I have found are to use a NetConnection and NetStream classwhich I simply do not have time to do

Any way of building in a fullscreen button right into the skin of a video player using actionscript 2? Or perhaps have access to a source file? I've seen the skins with fullscreen with AS3 with CS3, but I need tut on skins with fullscreen using AS2.

I have a problem with Flash Player 9. I have developed a flash application (projector) in Flash CS3 using AS2 . I can compile it into Flash 9 projector, but when I do that, it will not run FSCOMMAND("FULLSCREEN", true); anymore. I wonder why this is as such.
When I read through some help resources, somewhere it says that FSCOMMAND is not supported in FP9 because of some security reasons and it says that I should use External Interface API instead.
If I have to use External Interface whatever remember that I am working with flash projector (exe), not in a browser. I use "trapallkeys" to stop people from pressing ESC and CTRL-F to quit fullscreen mode. However, ESC and CTRL-F still work if I put "trapallkeys" above "fullscreen".
So the problem is, I only able to use either one, not both. This is really strange.
I could not make "showmenu", "false" to work either.
