I have created an online streaming radio on Shoutcast website, now I want to add this radio player in my website to let user listen to my radio while browsing the website, I have no problem with that, but I want to add some extra features to my flash player as following :
1- Show Song Name
2- Show Singer name
3- Show Previous Song Name
4- Show Next Song Name
5- Show Singer Photo
I am currently working on a project that embeds a flash game, that uses Smartfoxserver for the flash communication. That communication is mostly just synchronizing the cursor and object movements between the two players.Since I am not a flash guy, but a ruby programmer, I got curious: What kind of communication options does flash offer for this kind of time sensitive data exchange? I was thinking of writing a ruby-eventmachine based communication server to minimize the dependencies on external programs.

We prefer not to simply use the html file which may be easier for what we want. Is it possible to open the movie from an HTML link? I'm guessing no.
View 2 Replieswe need some movie clips.Place in a movie clip (MC) with the instance name "volume" of a line with a width of 250 exactly, do it with the properties tab.Once you have done that double click it. Inside this MC lock the layer with the line on it, and lock it. Create a new layer, and on that put in a picture of a slider, and give it the INSTANCE NAME, "knob_mc".Now, make another image,which will be easy for users to click on, make the the width of this, 250 exactly also. Instance name it mask.
Now, create your buttons. Name the buttons for the songs respectively, song1, song2, etc...Also make an image of a speaker, with no sound wave coming out of it. Make it an MC, then, inside this movie clip insert 4 keyframes of the speaker,each with one more sound wave than the other, starting with no waves. Put stop on each frame, in the actions.Then on the last frame,frame 5, make the mute image, also put stop on the layer.

Others;Play button, instance name "playbut", 2 keyframes, frame 1 play image, frame 2 pause image.
Stop button, instance name "stopbut".

I have a swc plugin embedded in my product to stream live video to a group of recipients.The plugin uses the NetStream, NetGroup and NetConnection objects, the server I use to handle the RTMFP session is Influxis.One client creates a group as a publisher, and stream a live video.His Camera is enabled and I can see the video on the screen as well. The others connect to his group and play the video.Peer assisted Networking is enabled for both the publisher and the recipients.The plugin worked well in all 10.x versions (10.1/10.2/10.3)However, when upgrading to flash player 11.x, it stopped working.
-11.x to 11.x isn't working.
-10.x with 11.x isn't working.
-only 10.x to 10.x is working.
The server I use to handle the RTMFP protocol is Influxis.com I sent them the same question as well.The weirdest fact is that I'm using flash builder 4.6 with 4.6 sdk, which is aimed for flash player 11.1, and it is only working with 10.x flash players.
I'm working on a project that I want to export as a .avi file. I'm using Flash 8. I can go through the steps of exporting the movie fine, but once I try to play it in Windows Media Player, I get this error:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."
I've tried playing it in VLC and DIVX player as well I got similar error messages. This is a time sensative project,

I am in the process of making my first FLV player in Flash CS4, for videos I plan to upload on my site. The play/pause/rewind buttons seem simple enough. However, I have searched and can't find-a timeline 'duration' that tells how many minutes have been played and how many total there are-a fullscreen button that toggles full/not fullscreen in the browser-if possible, some way to manipulate the timeline (e.g. drag the cursor forward to make the movie skip ahead)or explain to me how to do thisAs I said, I have searched for the above and found the play/pause/rewind tutorials but no timeline/fullscreen ones.

Hi, Im curious if we can publish on multiple sites, I have 5 websites all password protected for members, and I want all 5 members areas to be able to view my live video as I publish it. So can I embed the flash player on all 5 sites and have it pick up the same live feed. Also was wondering if interactive server supports or has a chat box, so students can type questions as I am explaining things live. And One last question Can I stream my video from different computers or can I only use one ( the one I register it on ) I want other teachers to be able to use thier webcams from there homes and publish live videos as I do on my sites. The comboBoxes are dynamically built and loaded via code and added to the stage. I would like to build the comboBoxes into a single movie clip (maybe not the correct wording) so I can use options like tweening and such to make it look better. The code is below.

I am trying to create a flash player to stream an on online Internet radio station using FMS. I chose FMS after being told that I need RTMP server to extract the metadata. Our radio audio is being encoded using a DJ interface called SAM Broadcaster. But for some reason, it does not have an option to send over the stream directly to a Flash Media Server. Only options are either IceCAST or ShoutCAST. How should i setup the stream? Should it be Stream encoder>> IceCAST/SHOUTCast Server>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client. Or should I setup Stream Encoder>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client? Shouldn't Flash Media Server be an alternative to IceCast or Shoutcast? If that is the case, how do I send over the stream from SAM Broadcaster directly to Flash Media Server without restreaming through another streaming server?

View 2 RepliesI am having a problem with CS3 Flash and the toolbar on the left. Certain tools have options and those options are not showing up. Yes, I went to Customize Tools panel and checked and those options are listed to the right of each tool that should have them (Example: Rectangle tool: oval tool, polystar tool , etc) and even hit reset to default and still those options do not show up on the actual toolbar. I made a graphic thinking that would make them show up and no it didn't.
It seems to be a problem for each tool that has a options and they are
1. Free Transform Tool,
2. Pen tool and
3. Rectangle tool.
What parameters are required to set an Audio file to Streaming? I have imported both an mp3 file and a WAV file into the library. clicking on a keyframe, I drag either th emp3 or WAV file onto the stage. The audio file can be seen on the timeline. If I set the sync to Event, both of the audio file will play no problem.
If I set eithe of the audio files to Stream, nothing happens, no audio at all. Can I only use streaming audio files another way? I cannot find an option to link ot an external audio file as you can do with video so how do i successfully get an audio file to stream?
In the video tutorials and they use the character option in the properties of textInputs or textboxes or whatever, but I dont have a character option in my properties. All i see is Color Effect, Display, and Component Parameters. So i tried going to text and then to embed fonts but I still get an error saying i need to embed my fonts. Where can I set the fonts for text boxes to use? Is there something wrong with my Flash Professional or what?

View 3 Replieshave created a simple media player in flash that uses xml to pull and play tracks.i looked at the basic mediaplayer example in the INTRO to XML tutorials on Kirupa.I have also reviewed the "squirrel menu" example since i need the mp3 tracks to be played from a DYNAMIC list (when clicked on - that particular track plays in the mp3 player.)I have used a nested loop to define the <cd> nodes and the <mp3 track> nodes within each <cd> node.my issue is how do i play a specific track from a specific cd?i tried to reference the particular node and childnodes - but i get unable to open file error!the code pulling and generating everything is as follows:

It will not be running on the internet/network and only for a computer that have TV tunner. (Ideally: open a swf and you can watch a TV tunner by flash player). But i cannot find any information if i can do it without FMS.
how to make it work.I have 3 layers.
1. top layer is an image of a cell phone with a blank screen (where I'd like the mask to be utilized)
2. the mask... which is paired with the cell phone image above.
3. the main/maskable image, which is only revealed by the cell phone's screen.
4. the very bottom image, visible all the time.
I need the base layer image (#3) to be static, and I need the top two layers to be able to follow the same mouse x/y coordinates. So far, I've only known how to have the mask and the masked image be one together, rather than be able to move the mask independently of the image I want to mask.
I was wondering if there are any apps that have animation in a format that could be somehow exported for use in Flash, After Effects, or 3D software. So something other than flip book style "paint" animation. Instead something like vector point animation or object/property animation.

we are using flash interactive server 3.5 and have just noticed that when flash player upgrades to 10r32 the streaming fails? Is this a known issue and does anyone know if it is specifically a rtmp prob?
