I'm trying to make a new flash player to stream a video from the vod folder. But after creating the player, the video doesn't show. It only shows the a blank screen with the player skin.
what's the format to put in the RTMPE url into the source/content path?
I have a setup where I have some edge servers (as in <Mode>remote</Mode>) that pull content from an origin server. I only want to allow RTMPE connections to the edge server. I'm trying to do this by using the <DisallowedProtocols> element on the origin server. I'm setting: <DisallowedProtocols>rtmp,rtmps,rtmpt</DisallowedProtocols>
in the relevant Vhost.xml on the origin server. However, when I do that, proxying through the edge server stops working. I get a "Connection attempt rejected by FMS server [ Server.Reject ] : Connection failed." from OSMFPlayer (which I'm using for testing) and these lines show up on the origin server's core.00.log file:

I'm hoping there's a simple answer to this. I'm attempting to stream a live event using FMLE and FMS. The first thing that throws me off is that I cannot push the stream to the server using RTMPE, only RTMP[T]. I assume this is because the the encryption is handled by the server and not the encoder. However, for the sake of security I would like to disable RTMP connections from the flash player to the server. Yet it would seem that if I incorporate the server side scripting described here [URL] (namely the changes to my main.asc file), that my server would reject an RTMP connection from FMLE? Is that correct? If so, where do I go from here? Can I broadcast a live stream using RTMPE only? Do I need a different encoder or something, or am I just missing a very simple point?

I am experiencing an issue with playback on RTMPE streams. after investigation it seems that the FMS server is firing the NetStream.Play.Complete message at random points, indicating that a stream has ended. This is happening and random points during the stream, not even close to the end.[code]As you can see roughly 17mins into playback...although the stream is 1 hour 24mins long.I have tested this numerous times, and each time it is at a different point in the stream.Intermittently the NetStream.Play.InsufficientBW warning is being fired prior to NetStream.Play.Stop.I am using a player built on OSMF 1.5

We currently have Flash Media Server 3.5 and our product utilizes RTMP connections, but I've been working with your Stratus Server and RTMFP and have found that the new protocol better fits our needs. However, the price for Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 is beyond our budget. Is there any possibility that RTMFP support are/will be available in the lower levels of Flash Media Server?
I would like to build a video conferencing app that supports H.264. Is there a way to use Flash to do that? I understand that Flash natively supports the Sorensen Spark video codec and that you need to use Flash Live Encoder 3 for H.264 encoding. I can't seem to find any documentation that shows me how to use FLE3 with ActionScript.
View 3 RepliesI am trying to create a flash player to stream an on online Internet radio station using FMS. I chose FMS after being told that I need RTMP server to extract the metadata. Our radio audio is being encoded using a DJ interface called SAM Broadcaster. But for some reason, it does not have an option to send over the stream directly to a Flash Media Server. Only options are either IceCAST or ShoutCAST. How should i setup the stream? Should it be Stream encoder>> IceCAST/SHOUTCast Server>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client. Or should I setup Stream Encoder>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client? Shouldn't Flash Media Server be an alternative to IceCast or Shoutcast? If that is the case, how do I send over the stream from SAM Broadcaster directly to Flash Media Server without restreaming through another streaming server?
View 2 RepliesWe're trying to stream Flash 9 .F4V files without any success so we upgraded to FMS 3.5, from 3.0, thinking that would do the trick, but they won't stream. I see MP4 support on Adobe's site, but not a word about .F4V support.

I've tried to contact our Russian Adobe support - but got a reply stating, that FMS is not supported by adobe support.. Btw - how can that be?! View 1 RepliesI have a swc plugin embedded in my product to stream live video to a group of recipients.The plugin uses the NetStream, NetGroup and NetConnection objects, the server I use to handle the RTMFP session is Influxis.One client creates a group as a publisher, and stream a live video.His Camera is enabled and I can see the video on the screen as well. The others connect to his group and play the video.Peer assisted Networking is enabled for both the publisher and the recipients.The plugin worked well in all 10.x versions (10.1/10.2/10.3)However, when upgrading to flash player 11.x, it stopped working.
-11.x to 11.x isn't working.
-10.x with 11.x isn't working.
-only 10.x to 10.x is working.
The server I use to handle the RTMFP protocol is Influxis.com I sent them the same question as well.The weirdest fact is that I'm using flash builder 4.6 with 4.6 sdk, which is aimed for flash player 11.1, and it is only working with 10.x flash players.
I installed FME 3.0 + FMS 3.5, and can get live stream on clients.
Now I want to record the live streaming from FME on FMS, I changed the fms.ini:
LIVE_DIR = d:Program FilesAdobeFlash Media Server 3.5webrootlive_recorded
but the streaming didn't be recorded in this folder.
Now it can only be done with the FMLE. Is there somewhere I can check the development plan for FMS besides here?
View 4 RepliesThe documentation is for FMS "4.5.1". Is PHDS for a live HTTP stream also supported in FMS 4.5? I tried setting Application.xml as instructed in the guide, and when I viewed the .f4m from the live stream, I did not see any indication that it was encrypted.

It will not be running on the internet/network and only for a computer that have TV tunner. (Ideally: open a swf and you can watch a TV tunner by flash player). But i cannot find any information if i can do it without FMS.
we are using flash interactive server 3.5 and have just noticed that when flash player upgrades to 10r32 the streaming fails? Is this a known issue and does anyone know if it is specifically a rtmp prob?

I have just installed Flash Media Server developer version 4.5 on my server, the Start Screen appears and keeps asking me to install Flash Player version 10.2 or above. I have repeatedly installed Flash Player 11 to no avail. I have tried to start the Admin Console but it just shows the 'get flash player' icon. I can confirm that Apache is running as I get an error from it when I try to access the Admin Console from the Internet. The Adobe web-site confirms that Flash Player 11 is installed and working correctly for the Operating System, Windows 2k8-R2. I have restarted the server to make sure everything has installed correctly, but it makes no difference.

View 2 RepliesJust installed Windows 7 RC (7100), and got the latest Flash player for IE8 and Opera. My site [URL] has a music player I created that plays (streams) MP3s from a Flash Comm Server I run. The player works fine with Flash Player version 10.0.22.87 on other platforms, but not in Windows 7. Once you pick a song, it should start immediately. Even clicking the play button doesn't work. The symptoms make me think there's a problem establishing the netconnection for streaming.
I've read Microsoft added streaming of some kind in Windows Media Player for Windows 7, could it be interfering?
