Would I just change the else statement to say MC2._visible=true; Also, when test the file is there a way to have the MC's hidden when the file loads, until the button is pressed? Is that an OnLoad statement?
I�m trying to toggle the movie clips visibility by passing in a parameter. I have seen an example of this before, but can�t remember how it�s done. Here is the basic set up below. Basically, you can set one of the movie clip visible while the other movie clips are invisible by passing in a parameter.

Creating the necessary code to make a mute/unmute button in ActionScript 2? I would like the "toggle" button to control a specific sound clip only -- not any other sound within my presentation. Basically I have an intro animation of about 20 seconds that has background music to it. I would like to add a mute toggle button that controls only this music clip and not any other sound found within my presentation. Is this possible? I've seen code for "globally" muting or stopping sounds. I need code for just a specific music clip (sound object?).

I have created a flash website, each button is a movie clip with an invisible button over it containing the following script

each page is also a movie clip and on release of a button its played. the problem is that when i press another button to play another movie clip 'page' the old content is still there.
Is there a way of reversing the page transition i have used to bring out the movie clip and then bring in the next movie clip.

I am trying to move a movie clip containing content via AS3 tween with a button outside of the movie clip. I have achieved this effect on another project by using the following code:

I'm trying to create a movie clip on my my main timeline that has a movie clip button within it that pops up a box in the middle of the site that contains text and links. On Frame 1 I have the Up state, frame 2 the roll over state, and frame 3 my Down State (where Box appears).

So if I had say 4 buttons Home Gallery About Contact If Contact is clicked then I want the Home page to play (Which is a fade out) and then go to Contact Page (which will fade in). What happens is the following: on mouse over the mc goes left, on mouse out the mc goes back to its original place.It works exactly as it is supposed to. Exactly until you try again... if you move the mouse away from the mc (onRollOut), before the animation reaches the end, it goes bezerk.what happens and also how the animation can be done using only AS (with some for loop or function or something and chaning _x property)?

I'm simply creating a button in flash that should alternate between a 'play' graphic (i.e. > ) and a pause graphic (i.e. || ) every time its clicked. That's all!
In shockwave I would simply type a line of code that would set a new memberNumber or memberName to swap the graphics on mouseUp. How do I do it in Flash? I called a friend and he though I had to do something like create a movieClip inside a button or vice versa. It all seems rather complicated for such a simple task.
