I'm using the pageflip fla file found out pageflipDOThu and it is working ok except that I am using larger page sizes (595 by 842) and when the corner of the page curls before you turn it, the opposite diagonal side also curls.i haven't altered any of the script, just added new pages.The files are both 10mb in size so can't attach.
View 0 RepliesI am not the best coder out there so I'm not really sure where to start. I am hoping this is already done and avaliable somewhere from the get go. When I am trying to do is I have around 200 books that I have to take from a .pdf file to flash document and eventually I guess a .swf file. As of now, I have taken the .pdf files into InDesign with a placing script and exported it to a flash document. From there I added a Previous and Next button that basically just stops the play and allows me to cycle through the frames. The only thing that I need now is I want some sort of page curling transition much like the one in InDesign one. I tried adding the transitions before I exported to flash, but it does not keep it. The reason I want to keep it in flash and not use one of the ones where u just upload your .pdf into and it converts it for you is because we might want to add more features later. Therefore I have to write some sort of system for page curling.

View 2 RepliesI'm using pageFlip to load several jpg's and to show them in a pageFlip catalogue.Now I would like to on page 3 of my catalogue to add a button at a specific coordinate.Do you know if pageFlip creates several MC's holding the jpgs it loads dynamically or does it load them for each page-pair???I couldn't seem to find the name of the MC's, - if I could, I guess I could dynamically add a button to the MC containing the jpg displayed at page 3?

I just need to flip between two spreads.I have gotten it to start on page2, but it appears on the right rather than on the left as a spread. I tried getting rid of ename="blankpage"; on line 123 and 127, but it only caused order issues.

I'm (still) working on a pageflip catalogue and i need to add a system that marks selected pages and enables you to come back to the marked pages at anytime you want.In other wordz, i'm trying to obtain the same thing as this :

I just found the "famous" pageflip and encouterd a problem. I have 3 issues i've not been able to figure out how to do:
1) I've not been able to dynamically resize the pages to fit the stage dimensions as it changes, the content MC gets placed into the stage with this code line
addChild(pageFlip = new PageFlip(ContentMc, stage.stageWidth / 2, stage.stageHeight));
i have also set the stage to
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
but i cannot figure out a way to dynamically target "ContentMc" from the document class, it either disappears or looks squashed.
2) second issue is that the "hit area" for the mouse is too wide, meaning that if you click almost half way up the page it activates which restricts the amount of usable content area for links and such, how can i reduce it to the lower corners?
3) how can i add other MCs to specific pages from the document class?

I tried to rewrite all references to _level0/parent etc ect.. that does not sem to be the problem.
Its easy to recreate "bug", simply replay timeline from frame 1

View 2 RepliesI'm working on an ezine, using the pageflip v2.11 from [url].... I can't get it to flip the covers unless they aren't hardcovers. It's killing me. All they do is show the shadow mask flipping, and not the page. I also have trouble with playing an mc, while it is located on the page. It reloads back to the beginning when you mouse over the corner of the page.

I have figured out how to create the flash file which will overlay the page, with all elements centered, from here: kirupa forums tutorial.
The only thing I cannot figure out is how to attach the Close button which would come at the top right. AS3 is not allowing me to attach any behaviour to the button, neither does it allow me to put actionscript there. I am in dire straits.
Imagine a strip of film, where each square of the film is an object in flash, and one of those squares are displayed at any one time. Remember Viewfinders? yeah, that.
Let's say the bolded square is the object you are currently viewing. If I click a button that travels to a square on the left, I want the program to remember that my original frame now lies on the RIGHT side of the stage even though it isn't seen. So when the user clicks back to that original object, it will fly in from the right. And vice versa.
I'm very new to ActionScript. I've taken C++ and know HTML. I would imagine you do something like create an array and make every object assigned to a number in that array. And then you assign starter values for each object. i.e., everything on the left gets the variable "left" and everything on the right of the stages gets "right" for some variable named "Position" or whatever. And when the position changes, so too will that variable change.
I have 7 icons on the left side (vertically) with two stationary phones on the right side of the movie clip and all of the icons has its own different URLs like differentiator.aspx?point=1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7). If I click one of them, the animated phone appears on the right side, but the problem is how do I display the content of page from each icons on the left side? Its like two onClick events at the same time; one to play the "scene" and one to change the content of the page.

1. Timeline has only 2 frames
1. Make movie clip and give it an instance name (in this case: box_mc). Make sure this takes up frame 1 and 2 on timeline.
2. On a sparate actions layer on frame 1 put this down:
mouse_x = _xmouse;
setProperty (_root.box_mc, _x, mouse_x+((getProperty(_root.box_mc,_x)-mouse_x)/2));
3. On frame 2 of actions layer put:
gotoAndPlay (1);
how to do this in AS3? I really want to be able to have 3d rotation tweening in my flash file and AS2 won't let me do it.
I am on a tight deadline and looking for the AS3 code of how to do what this company does on their site:URL...However, I don't know AS3.Literally my project requires I recreate the what is shown with the hand holding the sharpie and moving only back and forth restricted to a centered rectangular area at the bottom of the screen.I know how to import the image that follows the mouse to the stage, and to make it a movieclip. View 5 RepliesHow would I be able to create a scene where you scroll left to right using the mouse, but instead of having it at a constant rate and having the picture (background) move when your mouse is at a certain x coordinate to have it be that when you move the mouse away from an object the background will move, and will move faster the farther away the mouse is? I have tried scrolling back and forth with x coordinates, but I haven't been able to get this to work.
