ActionScript 2.0 :: Position Image Embedded In Dynamic Textfield

Jun 11, 2007

I have a dynamic text field called a_txt on stage. And following code

Code:
a_txt.html=true;
a_txt.htmlText="<p>Currently there exists a temporary <p><img src='ico.jpg' height='25px' width='25px'></p>setup to compile the documents in to a self running CD (flash presentation).

So basically I'm embedding an image in the dynamic textfield, which is html enabled using img tag.

However the img sticks either to the left or right border of the textfield (by using align attribute of img).

But if I want to place the image anywhere between the text, tht's not possible.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Centre A Dynamically Loaded Image Into A Movie Clip?

Nov 26, 2010

i've looked at several ways to centre a dynamically loaded image into a movie clip for the purpose of zooming the image once loaded. I am loading multiple images (16 in total) at a time and they are all 360 x 360 in size. So what i want to do is set 180,180 to be the centre of the loaded image.

This sounds easy to me but in practice i'm finding it impossible (although i know it isn't as i've seen similar examples doing this).

I've got a page with a very simple movie, it contains a text on some rows and an image.The text must be shown centered inside the page and must keep its aspect ratio if the browser is resized.The image mus be always placed at the bottom right corner of the window, not of the text area.

I can't obtain both of them, I can have the image always at the corner (placing it through AS3), but I have the text stretched when I resize the browser, or I can have the text always keeping its aspect ratio, but the image is not placed at the corner of the winwdow.I've also tried to have only the text on the movie and to place the image as html page's background, but the movie goes above the image and hides it.

Flex :: Calculating Position For Rotated Image

Aug 5, 2010

I have a couple of images, representing tents, that look like this: The red and blue parts on each side of the tents are doorways, and several tents can be connected together via these doorways. For example, I want to connect the two blue doorways so that they match up like in this picture: If the first tent is stationary, around which point do I rotate the second tent and how do I calculate where to place it?

Currently, I have the upper left corner of each doorway as an x and a y value, together with the width and direction (in degrees) of the door. I'm treating the doorways as one dimensional, so they don't have heights. Would another representation suit this better? Perhaps a start point and an end point plus direction?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Moving Image Relative To Position?

Jan 6, 2010

I had coded a different file similar to this and had a movieclip move along the x axis relative to where the mouse position is.

The idea is the movie clip is a panoramic photograph (eg. 6000x900) and it would move dependant on where the mouse it. ie. if mouse is in the centre it will be stationary and when it moves left and right the image will move accordingly (faster when further away from the centre).

The code below works moving the movieclip's x position but when I try and do it with TweenLite (using the quotations for relative positioning) the movieclip snaps immediately to -107374182.4

ActionScript Code:
import com.greensock.easing.*
import com.greensock.*

[Code]....

There is obviously something fundamental I am missing but cant see it at the minute. I had this working previously but then tried to progress it and write my own class for the panning (that now turns out I do not have time for) but I saved over the code and cant not go back.

I have put together an example zip with a .fla and the greensock tweening platform.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Flip An Image Without Changing Position?

Jun 25, 2010

I know I can horizontally flip an image using ActionScript Code: image.scaleX *= 1;

However, this seems to move the left border of the image past its x coordinate.

I would like to make sure that the image stays within the same borders as before and that (x,y) is still the top left corner. Short of wrapping it in another image, is there a way to do that?

onClipEvent(mouseMove){
_root.vPosition = _root.SliderMC.ButtonSliderMC._y * 5 / 6;

I can't figure out the math for my scrollbar. How do I find the fraction that is in this part of the script? The numbers are not matching up for me. I also can't get my slider to go left to right. It keeps going down. And my image that is suppose to be scrolling the with slider is not even moving.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Image - Position The Carousel In A Certain Area Of The Movie

Feb 1, 2010

I got this script for an xml controlled image carousel. It works really well, I just need to tweak it a bit to get it to work the way I want. I want to position the carousel in a certain area of the movie. The only parameter that I see to control where it's positioned is "var floor:Number = 20;" but this only controls the vertical position. I need to control the horizontal position, right now it's just centered. I see "xpos3D" but don't know what to make of it.

I also want to keep it from showing up outside of the frames I want it to appear. Right now when I put the script in the movie it shows up in every frame. How do I get it appear only in certain frames of the movie? When i put "stop();" at the end of the keyframe it still shows in the frames after it. The last thing I need is to position the animation on top of other layers. Right now it appears below all other layers in the movie. I don't know what parts to modify to accomplish this so of course I don't know what parts to post, which is why I'm posting the whole thing.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Position A Loader Image Inside A Sprite?

Sep 18, 2009

In AS3 / CS4 I'm trying to programmatically create a bunch of rectangular objects, let's call them 'cards', that will contain an image and a colored background and eventually some other elements like text.  I want to create alot of these cards and move them around inside of a larger panel (also a Sprite) of sorts.  I can successfully create colored rectangles in my cards and place the cards where I want in the panel, but whenever I try to add an image to a card, I can't seem to position the image inside the card's coordinate space, it ends up being placed inside the larger panel's coordinate space instead, even though I'm adding the image/loader as a child of the card.  I thought maybe it had something to do with having to wait until the image loading was complete, so I added the listener as a test but that didn't work.  Here's the code:

ActionScript 2.0 :: Image Pan - Want To Center/scale Relative To Position At Click?

Aug 19, 2006

I've recently taken Krilnon's tutorial on interactive image panning, and have a need for more complexity. My image to be panned (relative to user's mouse movement) has several 'hot spot' buttons placed within. Each hot spot, when clicked, is to smoothly zoom and shift within the mask, with pertinent info displayed next to each, once zoom and shift is complete. almost like I'm making a motion tween, where the final position is known, but the start position is wherever the BG image is when the user clicks the nested button. I need to determine the x-position at the moment of click of the button (different for each button), and then, I think, use a simple-math "stagger-step" method of moving and scaling, until I've reached my final dest. here's the link to the tutorial I originally referenced:If anyone knows of a tutorial or example out there, I'd love directions to it(them). or,

Dynamic Image With Hyperlink?

Jan 19, 2010

I want to make a flash movie which will load image and its hyperlink dynamically from external source. I know this is very common over the internet and as per some of the tutor I've done loading the image part but not able to sort out how to hyperlink that Below is the code

Code:

myData = new LoadVars()
myData.load("anastasio.txt")
myData.onLoad = function(succes)
{

[code]....

The text file "anastasio.txt" just have this line "image=photo.jpg". "holder_mc" is a blank movie clip. The image is loading properly but I dont know how to hyperlink that!! Can any one let me know how to do that dynamically.

Also, this is a very simple way of loading the image from text file but in real this will come from DB. The Admin will insert the image name and the url in DB and uploads the image to a specific folder from where the flash will load that image. I'm thinking what could be a better way from below to do the above stated task:

1) On insertion into DB, I need to create an XML file from DB fetching the image name and url and writing them to XML file. And every time the flash will load these from XML file instead of connecting to DB server.

2) No XML file. The flash will communicate with a PhP page which will fetch the records from DB and give it to flash for loading

I know both the ways for loading data into flash i.e. from XML or DB. I just wanted to know which could be the best!! In my opinion, XML file would be a better option since no DB connectivity every time on website but there will be only one record at a time which will get changed once in every month which is preventing me from creating XML file for just 1 record!!!
