ActionScript 2.0 :: Random Movement - Make A MC Rotate On It's Axis (registration Point)
Jul 13, 2003
I'm trying to make a MC rotate on it's axis (registration point)...I want it to rotate both clockwise and counter-clockwise at random speeds and random degrees of rotation. For example...CW fast 90 degrees...then CCW slower for 150 degrees...then CW really fast for 270 degrees...etc..etc..
skyline movie clip to move randomly along it's x axis whenever a mouse event happens.I can get it to ease in on a mouse event. The only code I've come across that seems to point me in the right direction is easingvar skyline:Tween=new Tween(skyline_mc,"x", Regular.easeInOut, 100,107,3,true);How do I get it to easeinout again to a random position on the x axis?.
well i've read the random movement tutorial but now i only want things to move randomly horizontelly; on the x axis. I'm pretty sure this is possible since most things are with flash so would anyone know what AS would be used? i've treid the one here: [URL] and deleting stuff that i think is not relevant. But i keep getting more and more erros each time i try to fix something...so anyone know what the AS would be? thx
If you look at this site and enter site. You will see 2 litle things moving on you screen.I need somthing like this aswell only then for like 50 bugs. I found lots of ways to make this with rondom movement scripts but i also need it to turn. So when its going to the bottom its pointing to the bottom and when its going up its turns pointing up.
I have proper code to make objects rotate on an axis adjacent to the mouse. I also have proper code on how to make objects elastically bounce towards a specific x,y coordinate.
So far the code I have is for the object to follow the mouse when clicked. when the mouse is up, the objects (on a rotational axis) wind back to original position.
What I would like to do, is combine the formulas for rotation with the elastic formulas to bounce these objects back into place with rotational movement.
I have a round arrow on stage (like half of a circle) and I want to make it turn left when mouse moves right and vice versa. How to accumulate this turning thing ?

I guys i am trying to make Movie clip movement to infinite loop to x axis.It should move like left to right on loop, without any jurk.i used this code. this is working fine to move left, but i am not getting how should i make it move on looop.
I need to make a MovieClip rotate around it's center point to the left or right depending on mouse drag. I got some basic semblance of what i want going, but it's pretty hackish. Normally i calculate the angle and such but i only really need to use the distance the mouse travels and apply it to the movieclip and for flavor add some nice easing when you let go.
public function Main() { var wereld:MainScreen = new MainScreen(); addChild( wereld );
It's been a long time since I've done any work with actionscript, and alas I've forgotten nearly everything. I've tried to look for a tutorial that would explain basic animation with actionscript, but the one that I found on Kirupa was no longer there.
Basically I'd like to do this:On the stage I have a movieclip and I'd like the movieclip to move along the x-axis to a certain point and then back to the starting point again. The moving speed of the movieclip should also be adjustable.
i want to make a group of buttons, this buttons have to be in constant movement, random movement, so i download an example from this site, So now i have all the buttons moving, and the quesition is this... how can i make the random movement stop, on the rollover, and make it start again in the rollout.... thats the whole stuff..
I posted a question regarding how to make a ladybug move around the screen and I managed to make a class that loaded a ladybug png then using a timer moves the bug around the screen... but I have a huge problem...this has been bugging me all day and cannot find a solution... The ladybug moves around the screen but rotates towards the moving direction before moving. The problem is that the ladybug is rotating at 0,0 axis and not at the centre of the movieClip. Is there a way to offset the registration point so that the ladybug rotates centred?
make some kind of Compass and I want to know how I could make the needle spin around its own axis with one of the ends following the mouse pointer. how could I do that?
can you set the registration point of a mc with as? I need to do this for a whole bunch of loader components, which are by default set to TL. I need CC.
i have this code i found that smoothly moves a box left or right on the screen based on using the left or right arrow keys. i want to use this smooth code but adjust it so on enterframe, the box would move from point a (say 0,120) to point b (0,240) and stop there.no keys used, just working based on entering the frame.how to modify the code below?
I'm using CS3 with ActionScript 3.0. What I want is simple, and I've done some searching but nothing that can get me the right results.I'm going to post a link that does exactly what I want: http:[url]......This rotates the circular object around a center point in a way that you can distort the object yet is still remains turning in a circular motion. A simple motion tween rotating the image will only work if the object is perfectly round, so distorting the object to make it more straight or curved won't work with a simple tween. I want to do exactly what is happening here (with my own object), is there some AS3 behind the scenes here making this turn on a center point?
I've got a 3D model at hand, which I have imported as a movie and an image sequence of each frame depending on which is necessary. I basically would want to rotate it by 360 degree both on the x and y axis on a canvas as well as having that done manually, such as having to drag my mouse to control which direction the model rotates in. Can I do this in Flash?
